What a fascinating species.
Everything she said about him was true for herself too.
She screwed over her entire group & cause for revenge. Just as Henry betrayed everything for his brother she too messed up to avenge her brother.
And that was when all sympathy I had for her went out the window
Correction, People die all the time. It only matters when someone you know die.
If the leader of the Revolution was someone else instead of her brother, she would not give a crap.
The thing about revenge is that it can consume you and make you cross lines without even noticing.
First, it was the FEDRA who killed her brother which is fair. Those FEDRA officers were sick freaks who seem to treat Kansas City like their personal playground.
Then it was any collaborators who sold her brother out to FEDRA. But she barely seems to register that some of those people literally had no choice. They were either had their lives threatened like that doctor or were just trying to save people they care about (Like Henry and Sam).
And then it was kids who just happened to be around the people who killed her men. Henry was already willing to give himself up if it meant they would let Sam and Ellie go. But nope, she wants to kill them anyways just to spite anyone who got her brother killed.
Apparently people can already become monsters without Cordyceps infection.

The big irony with this scene… is she was right. They built her up to be the bad guy and she turned out to be the realist.

It was actually her fault really. Sam got infected because she could not be bothered to deal with an infestation she knew about but cared more about getting revenge than her people's safety.
