Gurl, I heard you talk about this in yesterday’s video. I went in this morning to find out how much I need to live in case of emergency. I am so glad you brought it up and I am budgeting different in 2024. Thanks, this is a great tip to add to the top 10 tips on budgeting.
My goal for 2024 is to save at least 3 months worth of paychecks (without bonuses or OT). I calculated/included student loan payments and a buffer (by rounding all the numbers up to the nearest $10).
In the future, I'd like to have a "rainy day" fund and then my "month ahead". The rainy day fund is really the back up for my sinking funds just in case. Gotta have a backup for the backup. 😂😂😂😂
You'll be starting an E fund before you know it! You've been killing the debt so fast!! Great video!❤
Thank you Bestie!
This is one of my budget goals for 2024, to start saving for months ahead but had no idea how to start. This one was very helpful and the pushed I needed.
Watching your video reminded me that I already have 6 month of my expenses sitting in my money market account. Thanks for the reminded, now I need to work on growing that to a 1 to 3 years.
Hey girl, hey! Very nice. I definitely have to have 6+ months, just to be extra. Haha Yeah, plus I have to have other sinking funds. This grown up life ain’t no joke 😳.
Its always good to know your numbers whether its for an emergency or to just know what you're spending monthly. Great video
I do all mine in seperate envelopes. I already have 2 months. I just got my 3rd month for rent filled. On to the next one .
I love that idea of separating it
Don’t forget variable expenses in addition to your fixed expenses
Please do a video on hiw much you need for emergency funds just fir your 4 walls. I think showing what is 4 walls and what you would cancel would help alot of besties...
Hey girl hey! It's interesting how words can get people twisted up, the bottom line is call it what you want just save that money for when "Just-in Case" cames for a visit. I like that my savings account allows buckets/goals to help organize my "emergency" funds. I have a category for car, home, and life. They are all savings for emergencies. I set my savings goal based on income instead of expenses, made the calculations easier. Thanks for your faithfulness in posting - looking forward to your Vlog channel taking off. ❤
My goal in 2024 is to move my emergency fund to a money market account so it can grow a lot faster than it staying in a regular savings account. 😊
I have , emergency fund, house repairs and sinking funds
Excellent topic and video. Did the same calculations. Now I am using a fun saving chart to track the progress. The truth is I use fun progress charts to track just about everything. 😁
I used my monthly bills as a goal for my savings so that I have a numerical goal but I think, as I save, my 3 months worth of bills is what I’m wanting for my emergency fund and then I’m slowly trying to get a month ahead in my bills to be able to pay those all a month in advance. But then my emergency fund I don’t plan to actually pay my bills ahead with….idk if that makes sense lol but it was fun watching you plan and sort out what your monthly bills roughly are. Thanks for sharing, sis 🙌🏽🥂
My first goal for 2024 is to save 3 months ahead and I’m also doing a 10k savings challenge. I am almost 2 months ahead.
Serious question, what are the benefits of solar? It sounds just as expensive as electric alone
I have that same little happy planner. I use it for all my passwords.
You’re so relatable, motivational and inspirational. Thanks for your tutorials. Have a Merry Christmas.
I just love your channel! I joined a few days ago and I am binge watching your videos. You are so inspiring and I am learning so much!
I watched Lisa greatful me and she is doing the snowball Method to get a month ahead and I thought that was a great idea and so motivating you should watch
Hmmmmm. That sounds very interesting. I will for sure check that video out

I have two personal loans and one best buy credit card
Yes Interested In The Calculator Need Information about It
What about health insurance.
Good point, I hadn’t thought of that.
Love your new binder! So pretty
Thank you for your insight! You've been super helpful ❤
Man bills sure do add up 😮
What is the court expense?
I am one month ahead and emergency fund as a long term sinking fund
That's one of my goal is to get a month ahead.
Did I not hear her rent or did she not say it?
Exactly
You speak so eloquently.
Your emergency fund should include mortgage or rent and should really be bare bones what you need to get by.
Shine the light on it. Lol took me out. Lmao😂
Im almost at 3 months ahead. My 2024 goal is to hit 6 months ahead plus wipe out all my debt.
🦋 It’s Great to know your numbers🦋
When you are close to retirement you need at least 1 year.
💜
❤❤❤
Girl Your initial emergency fund calculations shd include the exact monthly payments for your mortgage/ rent, food, light bill, insurance and gas ⛽️ for car ONLY…not all those extra stuff..😂 so these calculations aren’t realistic for you …you didn’t even include the most important thing your mortgage..
