Hi Ben. Do you have any pre-game / pre-training routines that you use? I'm not meaning the warm-up actions, but more of the intangibles to create a positive team environment e.g like high fives in the group huddle, everyone wishing each other a good game, those sort of things.

W is not right. That is the problem of the coach who never played in goal and just copy the book .

There is no right or wrong in goalkeeping. Every goalkeeper is different… while I agree W is not effect at an older age, for kids it is much easier to think about and use for the size of their hands.

@zaydhusain9841 no right or wrong ? Are jokes ? That is why we don't produce Gk who is coming for crosses , no one catching balls , jumping with the wrong legs , running after the balls to make Saves, moving backwards to making saves , playing inside the post , save with their foot because they can not go down quick, don't know how to scooping. They don't need gk gloves anymore they should use racquets. Sorry, my friend, w work for kids. I wonder how many of your kids brake noses and fingers if you want to produce top keeper training them the right way since they are kids . Otherwise, you produce one more , and we are full of it.

@@adrianobasso17obviously you took my comment literally. Obviously there are reasons we do what we do. Italian keepers are more direct with 1v1 and come with their hands vs South America I find prefer to use legs for split saves for example. When I coach I use “two V’s” but a lot of kids find it hard to find the right positioning. W catch gives them something to work from. Never have I had. Kid break his nose…. Even if they use the W, it doesn’t mean it puts hole in their hands 🤦🏽‍♂️

My friend, I have worked in England for about 20 years, and I am fed up with the systems that are totally wrong and teaching kids by following old books . 80% of the keepers in premier league are foreigners. Do you think if they are doing right, the results would be so bad ? People are not humble enough to listen to the truth. I am sorry if I did use the wrong words to approach you, but I get angry seeing people copy failures and bragging about it.
