Doctors use anatomical directions terms (superior, inferior, anterior, posterior, distal, proximal, superficial, deep, cranial, caudal, dorsal, and ventral) to describe the locations of structures in the body. I explain why these are needed and give an overview of each term.
This is the first video in my Anatomy & Physiology series!

Of all the creators I have watched from youtube regarding Anatomy lessons, you got my attention real quick! The best lecturer!
You're the GOAT for this. I'm a research histopathologist and I'm helping a few of my students pursue higher degrees. This helped so much!
Hi! I'm a student and I just wanted to let you know that this video was wonderfully helpful. Everything you've covered was super clear and explained effectively. Thank you so much!
Aww, you’re welcome! Thanks for watching and for the kind comment. Good luck this school year!
You were the first person to teach me medical terminology back in high school! And now it’s helping me in my medical internship!
It was a joy to teach you! Proud of the work you're doing. And thanks for the comment/sub!

Great videos...very helpful for kids to use to review!
Thanks so much for the comment!
I make them for my students to take notes on as an introduction to new material so we can spend more time practicing the material in class, but I'm glad they work well for review also!
