Ive been meaning to write you a little note for a year now so i finally made sit down to get it done. This little tutorial has changed my understanding of and the way I play guitar. I cann not overstate the importance of this lesson in my guitar life. Before i found this lesson, i had been playing rhythm guitar for most of my life and i felt i had plateaued as a guitarist because I had no idea how to play lead nor did i have the time to learn. I had a lot of fun learning and playing this piece but its significance went far beyond my expectations. From this simple lesson, I was able to extrapolate endless lead and solo pieces using this lesson as a springboard. Its an excellent foundational piece that evolves with you as you evolve as a guitarist. Even now, years later, its pivotal to me when im creating new solos. I even use it as a starting point when someone comes to me wanting to learn guitar. This is the very first thhing i teach them because it is hugely adaptable to almost any song. I also give it a stellar rating for playability because its so much fun to play. Thank you so much for putting this lesson out there. It is wihout a doubt the greatest tool i have ever used or heard of.
Wow!! Very kind words. Thank you!! I'm very happy to hear you've gained so much knowledge and insight from just this one lesson. I can tell it has really impacted you. Thanks for taking the time to write this message. :)
Sure appreciate this. Self taught, music doesnt make sense unless I see someone else do it and "hear" it make sense. Sheet music and tabs make NO SENSE to me, even tho I can read tab it still doesn't resonate lest I feel the groove. It's a curse really, but once I've got it, I'm GONE w it. This really helped. Thanks!
You prolly dont care but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies on instaflixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend lately xD
every time ii start watching him im always so exited. and then when i finally get every thing from the video... i find out i have to pay to learn the whole thing. i hate this channle now. i have learned so many things from him but im never able to finish it
@@mwr well i wont stay away from it. what i do is listen to the beginning of the video where you play the solo and i play it by ear. i have 10 years of piano experience therefore its not to difficult to understand how you play it. but thanks for responding
That’s dumb. He taught you something for free. Be grateful for that and put in some effort and you’ll figure the rest out. He filmed himself playing it and you can watch it as many times as you like. You can even slow it down on RUclips. That’s much easier than when he learned from listening to cds and watching other musicians before the internet. You’ve got it easy. And as an afterthought teaching music is actually a job. It’s quite normal to be remunerated for your work.
One of the biggest concepts/techniques to keep in mind is to master the 'down-up ' picking. I always mark them below the staff. Also, practice slowly. :) Good luck!
Your great. But...please use some layman's terms for us mortals. You quickly say things like the 5th position or the flat 3rd.i.e..B string 5th fret would help a brother out

I'm not sure if I should tell you to just stay away from my channel or encourage you to actually pay for a lesson and see what you might learn. :)
