As a pastor I am always being reviewed by my elders to stick to the atonement, the return of Christ, and the sufficiency of scripture. NOT POLITICS!

We need to speak to the politics and how it impacts the community, the state, and the nation through the lenses of Scripture. We can’t ignore it and leave it to the seculars. 🤔 Not the main focus but acknowledged and addressed that Jesus needs to be the center of our voting and government.
As well you should be!! Is this not what the Apostles warned us to do? This is another reason why I love First and Second Timothy so much. Paul knew his time was up in this world. As a husband and father, I would do the same exact thing. If I knew my life were about to end, what would my final words to my daughter and son be? What would I tell them? I would tell them the things that I viewed as the most important. What are the most important? Paul tells us in those two epistles. This is another reason why our job as fathers is so monumentally important. I am more concerned with my children and their eternal security. If I were to leave this planet, who would teach my children the Word of God? Who would teach them how Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for our sins?
On another note my friend. Please be careful when you say not politics because many good solid Preachers, Teachers, and Men of God fall into this trap. What trap? Abortion is not politics. Homosexuality is not politics. Lawlessness is not politics. These Politicians lying to the people is not politics. Trying to remove God through the lie of Separation of Church and State is not politics. We are to preach and teach the entire counsel of the Word of God and we must never hold back. As Charles Hadden Spurgeon said, 'If we compromise the truth for unity, we are committing treason to the Lord Jesus Christ".
Our new nature through Christ doesn't want us to purposely offend, but we also need to remember is this. Truth by definition is absolute. Truth by definition is intolerant. The truth by definition is absolutely intolerant to any lie.
Winston Churchill said that he used to think the most powerful weapon on the earth was the bomb. He said how he was wrong. He then says how the most important weapon on this planet was the truth. He also went on to say that the truth was so important and that's why it is always covered up by a bodyguard of lies. A lie could make it halfway around the world while the truth is still putting its shoes on.
God Bless you and your ministry. Stay strong, be courageous, and remain faithful to the scripture. I was taught from a young age some highly important rules concerning my reading of the Word of God. My father was a hammer and he taught me this, even until his dying day and if you do not mind, I want to share them with you.
1. Prove scripture with scripture.
2. The meaning of the scripture is the scripture.
3. The Bible is the Commentary on the commentary.
4. God did not and does not do things because those things are righteous and just. It's by God doing these things is what makes these things rightoeus and just.
5. Never start scripture off with a pretext. This will cause you to take scripture out of context.
6. Read the Bible from a Jewish perspective.
7. When reading the Bible, look for Jesus, He is on every page because it's all about Him.
8. Read the Bible in context, because when the plain sense makes sense, seek no other sense or you will end up with nonsense.
I don't know you, but know that I love you and I will definitely keep you in my prayers.
How much does a Brain Surgeon make you think? How about a professional sports player? How about a Man of God such as yourself who teaches people the Word of God and about the Good News of the forgiveness of sins through the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ Jesus?

I was in the militia movement in the '90's. I've gone to John Birch Society meetings. I have never met anyone who even knew anyone in the KKK or espoused racial supremacy. Everyone was nice and when a black person came, which was rare, they were treated as individuals. I miss those groups. Blacks have been led down the garden path.

I've been to quite a few black churches where the pastor tells his flock how to and who to vote for. Years ago I was in a Catholic church the priests was telling the congregation how to vote. These churches have enormous influence over people and how they vote.

More times than not it seems that my RCC preaches only about the Eucharist. I find myself wanting to scream, "Why can't you talk about the Gospel and what Jesus did for us?" I too want to run out. I can't imagine what it must be like to constantly hear at church that I am a victim and subsequently not hearing the Gospel. It sounds very gross to me.
