I recently had my headlights on my rustler & yes they look killer & what off road tires yall recommend me getting for bashing & also I added a wheelie bar hopefully that will give me enough space for my taillights & thanks for sharing your work on this badd ass Rc traxxas Rocks!!!! 👊🏁🏁 what type of shocks should I purchase for bashing any ideas & thanks 🏁🏁
I noticed my favorite improvement so far was putting on proline badland tires on the rear. Expensive upgrage but well worth it, the thing just sends rooster tails out the back and has so much grip.
Ball bearing for all four wheel. 2000 mah-2500 nah lipo keep it light change the rear wheels to lighter nubby tires. Thinner nubby tires in the front. Take the motor off and run it through some brake cleaner than rinse with soap and water. Then run the motor in water for a bit, dry it and apply a little grease to the front and rear bearing on the motor. Keep everything else stock and it will last forever 24 mph
Can you link me that rear axle? I have the vxl and had to loosen the clutch so much that i cant even do a wheelie anymore in order not to break any more of the plastic parts... The only rear axles were like 60$ tho
I was wondering how that battery has worked out for you with a brushed motor? What are you're run times ? I have a stock rustler that I really just want extended run times , not interested about breaking the land speed record.
Thank you for your question. The lipo battery has been great with the brushed motor. From people more experienced than me, they recommend not going any higher than a 2S w/ 30C lipo battery. I'm sure there are other opinions out there, but I have stuck with that and have been good.
I have a stock rustler with a SMC 5000 2s Lipo (50C constant 100C burst) works awesome id say 30 min run time depending rips nice rolling wheelies i deff like the lipos alot just make sure to turn on low voltage detection (Green light)
Gotta just point out... you're using a LiPo battery with a Brushed System, how well does that work? My friend wants a LiPo, but he has a Brushed Traxxas Bandit
If defnitly works, but the lipo puts a higher load on the brushed motor, that means the motor wears out faster and eventually loses power and finally will be broken. I recomment to upgrade to a brushless motor as well. But a BL system means that you need to upgrade other parts too like the drivetrain, stonger arms.. and so on..
lukas post is an idiot. you should be fine depending on your esc and motor combo. You can you us up to a certain limit of cells. on brushed 1/10 scale its usually up to 2s lipo for a brushed motor/esc. make sure you have lipo cut-off though.
rustler guy45 , talons are an on road tire, trenchers more of an off road? I don’t know if there’s really any thing that works as an all-terrain tire, how are the Trenchers in your opinion?
I've never upgraded those parts on my VXL. Rustler the only broke part was the price holding the a arms on and a shock also I have no need to upgrade my drive shafts and I use proline Badland mx28 s on my rear tires (larger and more agressive than thos talans)
All show no go...... lol that Titan 12t looking good 😂
Yup I have max10 in mine
Nice widebody lol. 🚗😑
So true haha 😆
I'd recommend a Brushless upgrade next. Castle 3800kv with 21/86 gearing. It'll be a lot more fun.
i run a 20/86 on my car, the motor and esc are the cheapest you can find but its so fun
I’d also recommend a traxxas wheelie bar mount to act as a rear bumper to protect the motor as it’s quite exposed
I was going to recommend that too!
The talon tires are mostly great, I’ve had some problems with the tires ballooning so much that they come off the wheels with the stock glue.

How do the perform in sand dirt mud & water bro 🤔
Just curious did you put the tires on wrong for a reason? If you switch the rears to the front, and the fronts to the rear your stance will be equal.
My caster and steering blocks where the first things to go on my rustler
Thanks, Jack Plays! Not sure...what would you like to see?
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Are the RPM suspension arms much better than the Traxxas heavy duty ones?
Can you link all the parts in the description please?
Just wanted to let u know the battery traxxas min c rating is 25c your will burn out your esc and destroy your battery just saying man
That battery is offered in the battery upgrades for that on the traxxas website ?
I would upgrade my camber links first so it will handle better 😊👍
I also failed to ask, which metal CVD’s did you upgrade to?
This is the 4wd right?
cool video
what video will u be doing next
My rpm caster block haven’t Broke yet you should get some
Where can I find them spring at
I put my old stock maxx tires on my rustler and no broke axels yet
I have a two wheel drive rustler with an 83 tooth spur and 19 tooth pinion lol it flies
Hey what are the grey arms in the front my little cousin just broke his

Ive broken the front bulkhead, and cracked the upper and lower decks on my rustler. All stock parts xD. Crashed it when it was going very fast.
Do you still have the rustler?
Are these talon tires full the full size Erevo or the 1/16 scale?
Rpm castor blocks and rpm a arms ! Solid.
I don’t leave comments but that was a good video.
Now you should go brushless and upgrade your motor and ESC.
I put the Traxxas slash buber on mine rustler it make a big difference.
What CVDs are those? They look like dog bones? I went with the Traxxas CVDs but would have opted for a dog bone conversion.
Should have gone with a proline badlands tire nice truck though!

Integy driveshafts:)
Will these upgrades hold up against 7+ feet jumps? Like if its going off some ledge and getting a 8 foot drop straight down on a cemented floor.
nbl23 no. Best upgrades to do that is;
Aluminum C Blocks
Aluminum Steering Blocks
Aluminum Rear Carriers
RPM Bumper
RPM A Arms
Traxxas Big Bore Shocks
RPM Front Shock Tower
RPM Rear Shock Tower
Aluminum Transmission Case
MiP X-Duty Driveshafts (3s rated)
MiP C-CVD Kit (2s rated)
i jumped mine off a tower 25+ high to flat with a stock setup and rolled away smooth
@@luftwaffle6701 Is there a kit you can buy with all of or most of those parts in it?
What battery is that looks like a nitro pack I got a castle creation engine love this damn thing yours is sweet to
Make sure ur slipper clutch is t too tight and you won’t snap the rear cvd
How much do u think ur whole set up is worth? I'm just wondering cause I have most of the mods just like u besides my motor it's a velineon kit
I think Traxxas recommends no lower than 25c on all there products... Any issues with the 20C?

What have you’re run times been with that battery?
@@MATTA74 15 to 30 minutes depending on how trigger happy I'm feeling. :)

Do you still have this car? Would you sell it?
I just got mine in mail bought used one qwestion does it come on when plugged in ? Ive always had a on switch weres it at ive same xl5
i have xl 5 and the "switch" is holding down the button on the esc
About how much have you spent in upgrades?
LMAO i have the exact same bumper for my rustler. first 20 seconds of driving and WAHM a tree haha
U have to aim at the tree to miss it
What are the grey things called on caster block...my shit broke n never fixed it now I am can u tell me the name of it please thanks
You Mean Steering blocks

Lukas Post not really
Lukas Post. I got a brushless motor with a 2s lipo. Should that do well?
lukas post is an idiot. you should be fine depending on your esc and motor combo. You can you us up to a certain limit of cells. on brushed 1/10 scale its usually up to 2s lipo for a brushed motor/esc. make sure you have lipo cut-off though.
No reason to not use lipo in any modern vehicle given it has a LVC, Activation of a lvc should be in the manual
How fast does it go?
I hate tallons i had them on my rustler vxl on 3 cell lipo and they exploded so i got proline trenchers haven't had any more problems
rustler guy45 , talons are an on road tire, trenchers more of an off road? I don’t know if there’s really any thing that works as an all-terrain tire, how are the Trenchers in your opinion?
Are those tires traxxas stampede tires
Tez Moran yes
Talons*
Btw the other gear is a spur.
Pinion gear and crown gear
Not trying to be rude here but those wheels a little to big for the thing so it will go slower and drain the battery
Those tires make the motor seem like a little bug
Can you run it?
the rustler are very nice but with a brushless systeme its better
they have a model with the vxl brushless system included
ragnakak i know i have one
Never get any more integy parts, ever
Integy actually makes some nice parts. Why are you so against them?
Where can i find the bumper ??
ask your local hobby shop
or just go on ebay or amazon depending on where your from and look for "Traxxas rustler rpm front bumper"
Amistry20 im from sweden🙁
Ur wheel base isn't correct
Only complete. Is this to much talking. More action. Try on a hill climb

helpful but too much um...
