What a fantastic performance! Loved watching so many ages in full participation of this cultural dance style. Loved seeing men and women dancing the same steps. I find is so interesting that steps performed by a female can look so sensual. When performed by a man, the same steps become a show of masculine strength. Thank you for posting this enjoyable video. Wonderful performance by all, especially the young ones as it takes a lot of discipline at that age to stand up in front of a group of adults and perform. God bless you all keep spreading your culture and heritage.
The missionaries came back?? I'm not a fan of the blue and gold/white pouffy fabric "skirts" either, but they do make visual impact. The solid white skirts with the single stripe are nice, so no complaints.

Whenever I see the words, "Academy of Hawaiian Arts," I stop and watch the video because I'll get to hear Kumu Mark.
