Watching the saga again as an adult made me realise how selfish Bella is; how unhealthy her relationship and obsession with Edward, and becoming a vampire is. Her selfishness has been so cruel and unfair on Charlie and Jacob. It also kind of mind-boggles me how Jacob is blind to the fact that Bella leads him on.
Honestly I feel like it wouldn’t be so akward. Her and her family aren’t normal people and don’t experience normal human behaviors. She could understand considering that he will have to explain imprinting and all that.
Exactly I feel the same way, Ik the movies can only show us but so much but I honestly feel that outside of the pack Jacobs home life should have been another dynamic that they should have showed, like give him more depth and a sense of a support system for him outside of his feelings for bella and his connection to the pack, because between the lack of interaction in the film with Jacob embry, quil and then even his sisters it really diluted his back ground and what his character should have been outside the live triangle.
It was implied bella was having a death wish riding motorcycles and jumping off the cliff. She only got edward "talking" to her when her adrenaline was thru the roof or very scared. Edward was NOT there. She was delusional. Also Bella was in despair. She wasn't eating and having nightmares(barely sleeping) . Lack of sleep has been known to make people act a lil crazy.
I agree but thing of this Edward left for no reason and didn't give her any imfo on were he was until Alice came to the rescue but Edward is way better for Bella because the chance of Jake can lose control very easily and Edward has control of his powers and his thrist for blood and Jake has no control over his anger and is very dangerous

Honestly Bella always feared aging and dieing. Suddenly she meets a vampire that can live forever which is something she’s always wanted. I think she used through most of the series Edward for that. Yes she may love him but a main factor of their relationship was him turning her. Jacob would have been who she fell for if Edward hadn’t shown up or come back.
They need to bring out another book/film where it’s like 10/15 years into the future, I wanna see how the Cullen family are doing and to see if there’s a half human half wolf half vampire baby, that would be so good to watch/read
That would be detrimental to the fans! Writers (source or screen) are oddly unimaginative when it comes to telling the story down the road a decade or more. The only way they seem to be able to do it, or at least the vast majority, is to undue everything they tied up nicely with bows during the original story/saga. Writers mess up prequels by changing characters at a basic level (intentions, character, beliefs, core values). They allow timelines to diverge to a point that they cannot be brought back into alignment with the original story. Writers mess up sequels because they think the only way to tell the next story is to undue the previous story. Diminishing victories and destroying the core of a character so that they regress or change who they are, unnaturally. Occasionally they mess up timelines as well. I do not understand how you have a rich universe, compelling characters, and so many opportunities and decide unraveling is your best option. If you want to tell more Harry Potter stories then develop a new character with a new story. Bring back favorites, but not as fan service, but as characters that fit into the story. Mentors, guides, flashbacks, or a peripheral character whose presence/position makes sense. Your new character could be a student at Hogwarts when Harry was headmaster and Harry would only enter the story as Dumbledore did. Not as a central, but a peripheral character. Writers should only do this if: 1. They have a story to tell. 2. They have a 'new,' non-central character from the original story to develop. 3. Caveat to #2 using Twilight Saga as example would be to tell say Alice's and Jasper's story or Carlisle's story. Other characters could play a part as long as you a) don't focus on Bella and Edward again and b) have a story to tell about said character that is separate from the Bella and Edward story. Of course, Carlisle's story could include Edward, but based on their story/relationship. Setting it a few decades before Edward and Bella met would be best to remove temptation. Most importantly, do not screw up existing characters, their stories or their timelines. Character growth does not mean to tear them apart to the point of being despicable so they can grow. It is too easy ro destroy the character. I mean, look what JJ's disciples have done to Galadriel in Rings of Power. Their character assassination was thorough and so very heartbreaking. In their efforts to drag her down so they could build her up, they destroyed her. One of the most powerful elves in Middle Earth with wisdom from 1000's of years, ability to see into other creatures hearts and powe that required no sword or classic weapon has been reduced to a moody teenager with a sword and no comprehension of diplomacy. Their Galadriel, no matter how much character growth they insinuate will ever be able to mesh into Galadriel of Lord of the Rings. In Rings of Power, Galadriel threatens a prisoner with torture, then promises the genocide of his people (children) while he languishes in prison. Once she kills every last one she will tell him they are gone before she kills him in prison. How can she ever become the Lady of Light? People can be forgiven for their transgressions, but once you let so much darkness in there is no way to be a spiritual beacon of light that guides others. Examples follow. While there are tons of examples to chose from, I picked a couple that were easily explained for non fans. I know this is a different (fan) crowd and the evil mouse empire has their fingerprints all over it, but it hits every stupid beat of a sequel. We are just looking at the first of 3 films and the screenwriter's choices. Star Wars trilogy if you haven't guessed. There are spoilers if that is possible anymore, but fair warning. 1. Princess Leah and Hans Solo built up their romance and then strengthened their love through 3 films. A happily ever after, come what may, because they had proven they could face anything. JJ decides we need drama, so we will take this happily ever after and pull them apart. Even though Han was a General and on the right side of the law at the end of 4-6, JJ decided he needed to be a smuggler again that walked out on his family. Boy did they ever mess up Leah and Hans families. Then we need more drama. 2. Let's take the most hopeful person in that universe and make him a grumpy old man that hides from responsibility. Yes, and the one that saw the good in Darth Vader (killer of planets worth of beings) and had to save him, saw a momentary flicker of darkness in his nephew (child) and decided to kill him. Even that is not enough, so.... 3. That excellent victory and defeat of the emperor was fleeting, because...well, they never actually explain why it fell apart so fast again. Yet, they are fighting some version of the evil emperor they had defeated only 20 years down the road. I get that is a similar timeline between WWI and WWII, but a plausible explanation is required. Another example would be The Cursed Child. While Rowling did not write it, she foolishly made it cannon. It undid so many people from the Harry Potter series. Just why? Their are other options.
I think if vampires and werewolves didn’t exist then Bella would’ve never met Edward. Since he would’ve died from the Spanish Influenza. Bella still would’ve gone to live in Forks since she moved because of her mom. And her and Jacob would’ve both been human. Jacob would’ve never phased into a wolf. So the whole imprinting thing wouldn’t have existed. So, I think technically Jacob and Bella were supposed to end up together. Bella says it in Eclipse. That her choice between Edward and Jacob was between who she was and who she was supposed to be. If she was who she was supposed to be; then her soulmate would’ve been Jacob.

Her boyfriend left her and Jacob was there for her, being her friend, helping her out of her freaking depression and making her smile again so of course he'd seem hurt and angry when Bella is so quick to leave jacob to go help Edward. Yes he was angry at almost every decision she made but that's only because almost every decision she made was a danger to herself and he was trying to make sure that she didn't make a regrettable decision.
It's because Bella never told Jacob that if she dated him, she'd be settling. She never told him that her heart would always belong to Edward, even if Edward didn't want her, she would never want anyone but Edward. She made this clear in new moon to the reader. But she failed to make this clear to Jake so that's why jacob believes he has a chance when Vella always knew Jacob never had a chance. The problem isn't Bella choosing Edward, that's fine, the problem is she strung Jacob along and wasn't honest with him
They could’ve avoided the whole imprinting on a baby debacle if they just had Jacob run away for a few months after Bella’s death instead. Then he could’ve come back still thinking Bella was dead and ready to kill Edward and instead see her alive with Ragnarok grown into an adult, they lock eyes and it happens.

Well it will all depend on Renesmee feelings. If she feels for him in a romantic way than he will also be there. But if she feelings as frnd or brother or protector he will be there for that too. He will never force. And I really want their love story and I am saying this becoz I have my specific reasons.
Its in the Breaking Dawn book somewhere during book 2 in Jacob's prospective. Edward thinks it's better if Bella carried Jacob's child and refers to it as "puppies" which Jacob is deeply sickened and grossed with the idea but a little tempted even though he knows it'd never happen. He also in the book tells Bella about it- in the movie it wasnt mentioned for some reason which is why books are better.
It's only part of the books. Edward thinks, that Bella should not miss out on being a mother (probably because he knows how much his sister suffers due to that) but also doesn't want her to be killed by his own child, so he asks Jacob to impregnate Bella because Jacob is human and that baby would be like any other and no threat to Bellas life. I found it weird as well and I'm kinda glad they excluded that part in the movies
Apart from the random slip ups lol this was really fun to watch. After breaking everything down I really do hope at some point Twilight gets adapted into a television series there's plenty of content to do so, and I feel like there's so much great plot, and background stories of characters to. be spoken/touched upon to be a full fledged show because outside the of the love triangle there's a lot of great lore, like honestly I'm happy for what the movies were able to give us but even little increment things like showing Jacobs actual relationship with quil and embry or even showing Jacobs family dynamic and the roles his sisters played was really lacking considering Jacob was a driving ploy for most of the franchise I feel like he needed to be allowed to have more depth (which he did have) out side of his feelings for bella. this video just really got me even more excited for Aug 4th but in terms of production I hope twilight is able to find its way to a screen again through some way shape or form.

alexander kuntz maybe not in height but from New Moon and on in terms of build Taylor definitely fit the description enough for a cinema adaptation. It may not look crazy impressive like Dwayne Johnson or something but for someone who’s supposed to be like 16 that’s insane shape and conditioning to be in. I think any more muscle and Jacob would’ve looked a little odd.

When they discover that she'll be full grown in 6.5 years, Edward mentions to Bella how impress he was that Jacob never thought about her in that way or showed excitement over the shorten time that'd he have to wait for her. Embry also imprinted on a 2 yo. While she grows he's mostly just a great baby sitter. They have no romantic desires towards them. Just want them happy.
That's how I remembered boboo Stewart as Seth Clearwater from this saga, and jay from Descendants. I had an brain explosion that the same actor that played Seth Clearwater also played jay from descendants.
I think the difference between the two here is that the traditional "werewolves" (or in the case of the Twilight series, "Children of the Moon") can only phase during full moons, whereas Jacob and the other pack members can phase at any time or as their emotions affect them

Other characters could play a part as long as you a) don't focus on Bella and Edward again and b) have a story to tell about said character that is separate from the Bella and Edward story. Of course, Carlisle's story could include Edward, but based on their story/relationship. Setting it a few decades before Edward and Bella met would be best to remove temptation. Most importantly, do not screw up existing characters, their stories or their timelines.
Character growth does not mean to tear them apart to the point of being despicable so they can grow. It is too easy ro destroy the character. I mean, look what JJ's disciples have done to Galadriel in Rings of Power. Their character assassination was thorough and so very heartbreaking. In their efforts to drag her down so they could build her up, they destroyed her. One of the most powerful elves in Middle Earth with wisdom from 1000's of years, ability to see into other creatures hearts
and powe that required no sword or classic weapon has been reduced to a moody teenager with a sword and no comprehension of diplomacy. Their Galadriel, no matter how much character growth they insinuate will ever be able to mesh into Galadriel of Lord of the Rings.
In Rings of Power, Galadriel threatens a prisoner with torture, then promises the genocide of his people (children) while he languishes in prison. Once she kills every last one she will tell him they are gone before she kills him in prison. How can she ever become the Lady of Light? People can be forgiven for their transgressions, but once you let so much darkness in there is no way to be a spiritual beacon of light that guides others.
Examples follow. While there are tons of examples to chose from, I picked a couple that were easily explained for non fans.
I know this is a different (fan) crowd and the evil mouse empire has their fingerprints all over it, but it hits every stupid beat of a sequel. We are just looking at the first of 3 films and the screenwriter's choices. Star Wars trilogy if you haven't guessed. There are spoilers if that is possible anymore, but fair warning.
1. Princess Leah and Hans Solo built up their romance and then strengthened their love through 3 films. A happily ever after, come what may, because they had proven they could face anything. JJ decides we need drama, so we will take this happily ever after and pull them apart. Even though Han was a General and on the right side of the law at the end of 4-6, JJ decided he needed to be a smuggler again that walked out on his family. Boy did they ever mess up Leah and Hans families.
Then we need more drama.
2. Let's take the most hopeful person in that universe and make him a grumpy old man that hides from responsibility. Yes, and the one that saw the good in Darth Vader (killer of planets worth of beings) and had to save him, saw a momentary flicker of darkness in his nephew (child) and decided to kill him.
Even that is not enough, so....
3. That excellent victory and defeat of the emperor was fleeting, because...well, they never actually explain why it fell apart so fast again. Yet, they are fighting some version of the evil emperor they had defeated only 20 years down the road. I get that is a similar timeline between WWI and WWII, but a plausible explanation is required.
Another example would be The Cursed Child. While Rowling did not write it, she foolishly made it cannon. It undid so many people from the Harry Potter series. Just why? Their are other options.

I think if vampires and werewolves didn’t exist then Bella would’ve never met Edward. Since he would’ve died from the Spanish Influenza. Bella still would’ve gone to live in Forks since she moved because of her mom. And her and Jacob would’ve both been human. Jacob would’ve never phased into a wolf. So the whole imprinting thing wouldn’t have existed. So, I think technically Jacob and Bella were supposed to end up together. Bella says it in Eclipse. That her choice between Edward and Jacob was between who she was and who she was supposed to be. If she was who she was supposed to be; then her soulmate would’ve been Jacob.

some people say that Jacob wasn't a good friend to Bella by always trying to guilt her because of her decisions but can you blame him?! Her boyfriend left her and Jacob was there for her, being her friend, helping her out of her freaking depression and making her smile again so of course he'd seem hurt and angry when Bella is so quick to leave jacob to go help Edward. Yes he was angry at almost every decision she made but that's only because almost every decision she made was a danger to herself and he was trying to make sure that she didn't make a regrettable decision.
It's because Bella never told Jacob that if she dated him, she'd be settling. She never told him that her heart would always belong to Edward, even if Edward didn't want her, she would never want anyone but Edward. She made this clear in new moon to the reader. But she failed to make this clear to Jake so that's why jacob believes he has a chance when Vella always knew Jacob never had a chance. The problem isn't Bella choosing Edward, that's fine, the problem is she strung Jacob along and wasn't honest with him

They could’ve avoided the whole imprinting on a baby debacle if they just had Jacob run away for a few months after Bella’s death instead. Edward thinks it's better if Bella carried Jacob's child and refers to it as "puppies" which Jacob is deeply sickened and grossed with the idea but a little tempted even though he knows it'd never happen. He also in the book tells Bella about it- in the movie it wasnt mentioned for some reason which is why books are better.

It's only part of the books. Edward thinks, that Bella should not miss out on being a mother (probably because he knows how much his sister suffers due to that) but also doesn't want her to be killed by his own child, so he asks Jacob to impregnate Bella because Jacob is human and that baby would be like any other and no threat to Bellas life. I found it weird as well and I'm kinda glad they excluded that part in the movies
Apart from the random slip ups lol this was really fun to watch. After breaking everything down I really do hope at some point Twilight gets adapted into a television series there's plenty of content to do so, and I feel like there's so much great plot, and background stories of characters to. be spoken/touched upon to be a full fledged show because outside the of the love triangle there's a lot of great lore, like honestly I'm happy for what the movies were able to give us but even little increment things like showing Jacobs actual relationship with quil and embry or even showing Jacobs family dynamic and the roles his sisters played was really lacking considering Jacob was a driving ploy for most of the franchise I feel like he needed to be allowed to have more depth (which he did have) out side of his feelings for bella. this video just really got me even more excited for Aug 4th but in terms of production I hope twilight is able to find its way to a screen again through some way shape or form.

alexander kuntz maybe not in height but from New Moon and on in terms of build Taylor definitely fit the description enough for a cinema adaptation. It may not look crazy impressive like Dwayne Johnson or something but for someone who’s supposed to be like 16 that’s insane shape and conditioning to be in. I think any more muscle and Jacob would’ve looked a little odd.

When they discover that she'll be full grown in 6.5 years, Edward mentions to Bella how impress he was that Jacob never thought about her in that way or showed excitement over the shorten time that'd he have to wait for her. Embry also imprinted on a 2 yo. While she grows he's mostly just a great baby sitter. They have no romantic desires towards them. Just want them happy.

I think the difference between the two here is that the traditional "werewolves" (or in the case of the Twilight series, "Children of the Moon") can only phase during full moons, whereas Jacob and the other pack members can phase at any time or as their emotions affect them
