I grew up on baseball, football, hockey, basketball, soccer, and tennis. I started watching jai-alai from Magic City during 2020, when everything else was shut down. I picked up on it right away, with the rules, and how the points are scored, and how the games are scored, and I love it! It is very fun to watch, the players are so skilled, and talented! And, I found a number of parallels between jai-alai, and a lot of the sports I grew up with! The speed of hockey, the catching of baseball, the shot-making of tennis...just great stuff!
Played jai-alai as Amateur in the mid 1970’s. I still crave the excitement of playing this game. It’s the “Game of a a thousand Thrills “ as we called it in the Philippines.
What's the deal with the front wall. When I used to go to Hartford Jai Alai back in the day it was a granite wall and I love the the "clack" sound it made when it bounced off?
Went to Fort Pierce fronton in the 80’s when on vacation. Was great. Then the Milford Ct fronton opened and was not far. It’s a shame it died bc it is great to watch. I didn’t gamble at all.
Jai alai is awesome. Just wish there was an opportunity for amateurs to play for fun. That’s a barrier for interest. Most fans of other sports actually have played competitively or now play for fun and enjoy watching the best play their game. All golf fans golf lol
Sport is dead. ...sportsbooks open all over now with all these betting options is it. People aren't gonna sit and watch this. This took off when nothing else was around.

Best of luck to Ron Madrigal (RonRon) who recently announced his retirement as a active jai alai player. A real ambassador of the sport

The hurling claim is that it's the fastest field sport, so there should be no beef with the jai-alai gentleman
Ah I’m only messing. But would still like to see a speed-off…

This is fake news! Fake Jai-Alai. This ball does not travel 150 mph! THIS IS NOT JAI-ALAI!
What is it then?!
