Reminds me of when I first made a JP friend. It was the peak of my life as I kept on getting complimented on how I sound cool when I speak English and how my Japanese is good (probably a lie lmao)
@@ChronicalV True. Whenever we get on the topic, they usually say that English sounds cool and Japanese is lame. I think it's just that thing where you're used to your mother tongue, so you don't see it the way they do.
I think it was Dogen who said that once they stop nihongo jouzu'ing you and start asking you how long you've been in Japan is when you know you've hit the fluency of a native 1st grader lol
Awww what a cute interaction!! Wow I didn't know Leo is from Australia, he has such an ikemen voice!! Love to see that we have so many Vtubers from the down under xD
i react the opposite when i discover he’s kaigai. I was honestly baffled. Kuga Sensei deserves more recognition. Pls do check him out from time to time! He mostly stream in jp but from time to time he stream 50/50 jpen. Sometimes on twitch, mostly on youtube. He’s extra good in valorant and fps in general! Pls check Kuga Leo from 2nd Gen of Neo Porte,Quattro ;)
It's possible. Leo actually referenced Axel once in a hilarious way one time LOL. There was one practice stream w/ Rikka and Pakael when Leo sneezed and cursed at the same time and Rikka teased that he just did the "Eigo Sneeze" (English Sneeze). Then Leo was making an excuse that it's common in Australia and said to Rikka: "You got Axel in your group and you know how he talks - it's the same with me!" Someone in Rikka's chat said "Axel doesn't need to sneeze so he can curse. He curses all the time!" Rikka laughed and said "True!" Maybe after VSaikyou - it'll be hella funny hearing those two go full Aussie at each other LOOOL
Latest APEX VSAIKYO custom match. (4/3/23) You just got your wish, and it was an incredible last match of the night. VOD is on Axel’s channel, team members were Axel, Regis, and Leo. They placed second with 7 kills, incredible work. The three of them really hit it off, Leo saying to invite him anytime they need a third, and Regis and Leo thinking about playing Valorant duos together some time.
@@dirzz case in point, TheAnimeMan/Joey who is half JP half AU. Along with his many other friends that coincidently are the same, one of them even being a seiyuu
Certain Aussie places like the Gold Coast are referenced in English textbooks in Japan, and in Gold Coast itself there's plenty of Japanese signs, guides, lessons and people living there (lived there for 5 years, knew a whole load of them from there)
That was a really nice clip. His Australian accent no doubt would even catch the Japanese off guard and they might not even recognise it as even English words. Me being from Northern Ireland I understand him and the confusion.
Funny you say that, because in his debut stream, he mentions that English is his native language and currently learning Japanese. He's like the opposite of Axel (He learned Japanese first before learning English).
no they didn't streamed it but Uto and dtto streamed that day tho. just before the custom matches. Dtto coached La+, Uto was coached by Kohaku. Both was on twitch

That's a huge motivation to learn more Japanese imo lol
It is kinda funny when they think speaking your own language is cool, but I get it. Languages like german or welsh are really cool and beautiful
@@rdxzero Really though, they became my motivation to push learning Japanese

No problem man. I’m just hunting for Leo’s English clips and I saw your comment asking about Axel and Leo. Glad I could help.
He got Sonny vibes on him, the way he speaks and stuff. Pretty cool
qpi: shinomiya did u understand what he was saying?
shinomiya: lets play, lets play. 😂
What's with Australian vtuber being absolutely fluent in Japanese?
Australia close to Japan, lots of japanese/asian immigrants.

Australia has a lot of second gen immigrants like america does. Depending on how they're raised, they can be perfectly bilingual.
He's got the bilingual rizz
leo!! he's so fun to watch :3
Essa é a primeira vez que ouço um inglês tão bom kkkkkkkkkk eu não gosto nem de ouvir inglês. Mas essa voz foi boa demais kkkkk

Off topic, but at the end, in Team 14, is that Selen with Uto and dtto? Were any of them streaming during these games?
I don't think any of them streamed that day. I was also searching where to watch but none of them were streaming.
