Wow! Just Wow! I have seen all your mandolin builds on the channel and this is by far the most beautiful mandolin of them all. The wood, the sunburst and the binding . Wow! It’s just perfect!
There’s nothing any more beautiful than a sunburst F style mandolin! Just works of art. Jerry that gal sounds beautiful, and will only get better with time. Great job and the owner should be proud!!
Absolutely beautiful! Watched all three episodes on RUclips via TV and then had to go online and give you props for your craftsmanship! Always enjoy your videos!
... my spray booth! hahahahaha If I tried that in California, there would be guys rappelling out of black helicopters to haul me off to polluter prison. Another fine gem of an instrument.
This custom build just turned out beautifully. I was going to say that bindings like that don't grow on trees, but I was wrong.😊 It was fun to follow the process, as always.
Outstanding job Jerry!! Kaleb is very is very lucky to have you as a Teacher, Mr. Short is lucky to recieve the gift, and we are lucky to be able to watch!!
Fantastic video as always. I'm 64 and want to repair musical instruments when I retire. So, I am going through a huge learning curve for the past year or so. Your videos are encouraging. I am refretting my old 74 model Guild D50NT and taking out the belly bulge best I can. Can't thank you enough for all the tips and ideas. Got several other like projects going too in my 10 x 12 man cave...
It just gladdens my heart to see the utter joy and contentment on your face when at the end of a build or repair when you play the instrument, wonderful. Isn't it also wonderful what the human hand and spirit can accomplish. Thank you for sharing your wonderful gift with us lesser mortals. Colin Richardson, Ardersier, Inverness, Scotland.
That is such a beautiful instrument. You have amazing craftsmanship. I love that sycamore binding, it has just the right enhancement to the overall finish.
It is a remarkable thing I think, watching you take pieces of wood and turn them into something that has a voice and a presence in this world. People who make musical instruments are solid proof that human beings do have souls. I hope that at least some of the people who watch you work find that understanding and act accordingly.
As a longtime viewer (I guess I watch every single video you upload), I'm still amazed by the quality of your craft, your instruments are really pieces of Art and really stunning woods and finishing is top notch. I'm sad that I don't play mandolin because these are real beauties and wonderful sounding instruments
Jerry... Love these videos and the time and love you put into your craft and sharing with the world. I also appreciate your music and Lyrics of the songs! Thank you!
As usual, great work and lovely. I would agree, after all the builds I’ve seen you do and believe me I’ve watched every second of everyone, this just looks wow++ .. Thanks for being such a great humble teacher that inspires us all
I REALLY love the wood binding. Despite all the work that is needed to make it fit, I truly think it came out really great. I was skeptical at first, course being one that loves the nuances of real wood, I knew in good hands the end result would be spectacular. Great build Jerry. Maybe make it an alternative add-on on future builds.
In the sixties, dad worked in a steel mill and they hired a German metallurgist. Came off as a know-it-all. Dad came to find out later he did know it all (steel, anyway). Love the sunburst!
The mandolin looks fantastic, and i love the wood binding. It sounds wonderful too, it's always great to hear one of your instruments come to life for the first time!
Man alive I´m a telling you That´s a *beautiful* mandoline do-si-do ! Man, man, man I do declare That´s a *Beautiful Rosa Mandoline* hear ! hear ! hear !
While I initially had a somewhat shocked reaction to the blocky staining pattern, I came to absolutely love it. It is visually striking, and could not be mistaken for another one on the planet. Well done!
I am amazed at the improvement in the tone and volume after the final sanding, wax and polish. I would be so proud of myself if I could create such a fantastic work of art. Congratulations on a job well done. Thank you for sharing it with us. I've never seen anything like this.
WOW!! What a work of art! I had a Michael Kelly Legacy and this thing makes mine look like I bought it on Amazon.🤣 I love the sound, the finish, the wood binding, pretty much all of it (even the nifty background tune)!! You're a real master luthier Jerry, and I wish I had known about you 10 years or so ago when I bought my M-K. I finally sold it last year since my hands are getting so crippled up, I've been reduced to playing the keyboards only, and not too well at that.😉 Really enjoyed this whole presentation.😁🎵🎶🎵👍
That is STUNNING! I love the way the top came out with those symmetrical rectangles. And that color of the sunburst is just perfect! The wood binding came out great. If I had the spare cash, I’d want one that looks exactly like that! 😃
Mr. Rosa!! THAT mando was a superb demonstration of the work involved in making playable art! It really should be displayed as it really is, “A true masterpiece”. It IS THE most beautiful mandolin I’ve ever seen... and plays so sweetly! Dadgum it, now I want one. A Platinum Standard and you really should make one for yourself! Or get Caleb to make one for you! Pass that art on brother.
Wow! What an instrument! Maybe the most strikingly unique I have ever seen. I really enjoyed this series above all the rest. The sound was powerful yet each string seems to independently ring crystal clear. It takes a lot to impress me. You have done it with this instrument. I am in awe.
That top is so gorgeous .I love the bookmatch. Beautifully unique. The only other time I've seen that type of bookmatch was on a 1960 Gibson Les Paul. Thank you for the knowledge because I didn't know why but I still liked it then. Beautiful craftsmanship and tone Jerry.
You may have done this but when I need to use small drill bits in the drill press I put a small chuck into the chuck of the drill press allowing me to use the finer bits in it. You really make gorgeous looking and sounding instruments thanks for bringing us along again!
Beautiful work. Looks gorgeous. I love the sound, and you cannot beat the wood binding. I have two guitars with maple binding and one of them in particular looks superb after 30 years. Just prettier wood than the other, both nice though.
Lovely instrument.. So glad that its new home is CANADA...GREAT WORK JERRY...Stay safe my friend
That’s a work of art. Beautiful. I know you build them to be played but I’d happily hang that on my wall and just admire it every day. 😄
Wow! Just Wow! I have seen all your mandolin builds on the channel and this is by far the most beautiful mandolin of them all. The wood, the sunburst and the binding . Wow! It’s just perfect!

... my spray booth! hahahahaha If I tried that in California, there would be guys rappelling out of black helicopters to haul me off to polluter prison. Another fine gem of an instrument.
Wow! That one chimes like a bell and is just BEAUTIFUL! Nice work!

Königsstrasze = Kingstreet ;) Beautiful, your German!
My God, That's beautiful!
The colour of this mandolin keeps making me think of maple syrup, very appropriate and a very beautiful job!!!🍁

That looks great, I'm glad the binding worked out. I'm always impressed by how you dive straight in when you put on the dye for the sunburst :-)
This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful instruments I've ever seen! Well done! :)
In the sixties, dad worked in a steel mill and they hired a German metallurgist. Came off as a know-it-all. Dad came to find out later he did know it all (steel, anyway).

That finish color and quality is top notch! If you were going for that “autumn leaf” theme like in your thumbnail, I’d call that a resounding success.
I don’t know how to play them but I would love to just hold that masterpiece in my hands for a minute! Beautiful work as always, mr Rosa ❤️
