Wonderful review!!! We have come to Las Terrenas 2x over the past year and when I walked the beach near here I knew it had to be a great spot. Glad to hear the snorkeling is good at the BP...over at Playa Bonita and Coson, there isn't much at all. We hope to come here soon! Thanks for the great review.
Been there 10 years in a row, my absolute favorite club in RD. Will return March 2025 for the Humpi-Whales 💕 Seen them once, you got to see this to believe how gorgeous they really are....
@@AkashPatel-lo7vg They had excursions that you could go on, both on land and water. Unfortunately we didn't do any excursions. You could try the kite surfing! It looked like a lot of fun. You could also take out kayaks/paddle boards etc.
We were at this resort in April 2024. The room shown here is what they consider the « renovated » room. We were not as lucky. Our furniture was not just older, it was broken, with drawers not closing. The beach is wonderful. We didn’t get the high tide quite like you did in the 12 days we were there but the water is top notch. The hotel personnel was incredible. What irritated us? Only 3 a la carte per week. The rest is buffet 3 meals a day. Foodies like us did not appreciate. First time we took a taxi to eat out at an all-inclusive… twice. Also, No cocktails at a la cartes. 3rd Stained plastic glasses even at night at the sports bar but the worse was that ALL toilet paper… ALL… cannot be flushed. You have to put in the garbage bin without lid. They inform you and insist right from the airport. The smell…. All and all, I would never return but the beach and the staff were the best we’ve ever had.

Thank you for your feedback. We speed up the video so it doesn't take so long to get through the resort. I'm not a fan of people doing reviews at walking pace, but I will certainly look to slow it down a bit in the future.
Hello, very nice work with lots of information on this video ! This resort has been on my radar for years, just a solo senior traveller here. Just a couple of questions. Why would "beach security" ask for your name & room # as you are going for a stroll off the resorts property line ? That's scary and would not tell them that info. Is it a set up to rob your room because your gone for a walk ?? Don't you have a resort wrist band to show them, that confirms that you belong there coming or going ? After all like beaches everywhere, they are public. Also how do your 3 a la carte reservation's work ? Can I book all 3 when I arrive, or only daily line ups to book or reservation free..... ? Also many factors such as variety of food, restaurants that are open, line ups for cocktails at bars day or night & customer service depends on capacity when you actually visit. Based on your stay in early Jan. this year, what would your guess be on the % capacity of the resort when you were there ?
So sorry for the late reply! Thank you for the kind words. As for "beach security", I'm not exactly sure why they collect this information but we didn't experience anyone in our rooms or anything missing. We didn't get that sense at this resort. It was very safe feeling. We did wear wrist bands. We were able to book all 3 of our a la carte restaurants at the same time. We didn't experience a line up when booking and we booked on our first day there. I would say the resort was around 75% - 80% full in January. Hope this helps!
@@WanderingWhytes They note down your names because they use this list to track you´ve returned from your walk or day trips. I once left the hotel wandering the beach, went shopping in the village nearby and returned through the main entrance. So far so good. Few hours later staff knocked at our room door to check for us. Nice, but in RD not really necessary... A wonderful country with even more wonderful people.

Wonderful review- one of the best I've seen (and I've seen a Lot)! Greatly appreciated...really gives a good feeling for the place. :)
Great review, great video. Hopefully Cuba gets back to normal someday, but until then we'll keep hunting for great new beaches! 🍻🍻

They don’t have taxis anymore!:(?
What airport is the one you flew into and out of. And how far away is the airport from the resort?
It's El Catey about 30 minutes away. Super small airport and really easy.
❤
How far from airport thank you in advance
35 minutes
@@manonberthiaume6914 we were closer to an hour on a charter bus that stopped at Wyndham on the way.
@@manonberthiaume6914 hi I’m from NY beautiful review I have a question which airport is the closest to the resort please
@@edysaocoes We flew into Samaná El Catey International Airport.

I am with you, but reduced playback speed to 0.75, everything was fine, not too slurpy either...
