The plot reminds me of Another. Basically instead of a king there is a curse. Instead of disappearing, students were murdered in a sort of accident like Final Destination. The culprit is an extra person who was dead but revived. The culprit does not have any idea that it was dead and living as normal. Only way to break the curse is to identify the dead one and sent it back to the other world.
Ah I watched Another already, though the anime version... all with that umbrella + stairs. Actually King's Game manga and anime version is much more brutal than this live action. The punishment not just making them disappear... since it's too merciful and painless.

Don't you guys think the King was Cheimi's father? Why would the king make her immortal instead of anyone else? and why did her father only talk to her through phone calls or is always out of town? Why does Cheimi have photos of the old school where the incident first occurred if she doesn't remember anything? So many clues for the King to be Cheimi's father.

I am surprised that even though I have never watched this live action I remember this manga's story from way back. Though I think the ending is somewhat different and there had been more to the story. Will have to reread and probably watch this since Dori is here in another game that ends in death. Don't you guys think the King was Cheimi's father? Why would the king make her immortal instead of anyone else? and why did her father only talk to her through phone calls or is always out of town? Why does Cheimi have photos of the old school where the incident first occurred if she doesn't remember anything? So many clues for the King to be Cheimi's father.
