a way I learned how to remember that eukaryotes have a nucleus and prokaryotes don't is this: _"Euks have nuks"_ This would remind me that eukaryotes have a nucleus, which would then remind me that prokaryotes don't have "nuks" or a nucleus Hope this helps XD~

The 'antibiotics vs bacteria' sequence with the various mechanisms of bacterial inactivation (seen here as different video game combo moves) was a work of art. I just had to stop and comment. Currently studying with this for my german exam and it's actually helping so much to learn stuff in a different language! I think that's because I have to be more focused on what is being said. I'm just more concentrated as if I'm listening to a german explanation. Also, german studying videos are fine but not as bright and fun as these are. That helps to remember all the stuff aswell! What can be used to treat diseases caused by viruses? Also, I LOVE your videos! When I was a middle schooler, I took a high school biology course online, so when I didn't understand something while working on my high school bio work, I would always refer to your videos. Even for review, your videos are great! Your drawings really help me imagine the concept and therefore help me understand the topic a LOT better! Love you Amoeba Sisters! Great Job and keep it up!
depends on what type of virus, if you asking about a specfic disease that you most certainly know a virus is responsible like in HIV for example then you can use antiviral drugs like zamanivir, ozetalmivir etc you can google them, if its another sort of disiease for example a common flu then you usually dont use drugs, since its autolimited by your organism, but for those annoying runny nose symptoms and headaches doctors usually prescribe Tylenol , or some other antihistaminic drugs to cope with your daily routine. These are just some examples kinda used the extremes, hope it helped

What an informative video about cells which is the basis of living in any Creatures here on earth. This would help us allot to understand how these two cells functions in our body. How they are able to act and contribute to the building blocks of our body. Though they have different functions. With a different hosts. They have a major roles in cell cycle.

I'm writing a bit of fan fiction (Mass Effect,) and I want to make one particular species of crazy hostile alien (vorcha) *prokaryotic* as a way of explaining why they don't get *our* diseases (like cancer, or even colds,) and why they heal so fast you can watch it happen. At the moment, I'm hoping to make them a sort of superorganism with colonies of different prokaryotes providing specialised functions (vision, motion, etc.) to the larger organism. How much "suspension of disbelief" will a microbiologist have to deploy to accept this? What sort of crazy things might make it possible? Are there real-world considerations that can be explained away with exotic chemistry, or are there extremophiles that might help make such things possible?
