This song always made me cry because of Connor The Crusher. Today I had to put down one of my best friends at our vet and it was playing just before we went in. This song and its lyrics just took on a far deeper meaning for me than I ever thought possible. Rest well, Spooky, Daddy will always love you and miss you and I hope you have peace now.

I couldn't say it better myself. I'm like that. But the people I love aren't like that toward me. The amount of times I've gotten close to someone and then to watch them walk out of my life like I'm nothing to them. And the worse part is that I still care about them and love them deeply. I try to tell myself to stop caring about people and to not get close to anyone again, but my heart never listens. I hate it. And to clarify, this is not about romantic relationships. It's also about friendship. I just want to have someone who truly loves me like this. Is that too much to ask for?
Gina Lycan no, it's not too much to ask for. Also, you shouldn't change who you are because that's just your nature, caring so much for people. There is nothing we can do to change how people feel towards us. We can give our all and that's what really matters at the end. I will tell you one thing and I hope you remember this for the future, "Keep your expectations high on achievement and low of people". High expectations usually lead to disappointment, and that's why we feel the way we do when we don't feel we are getting the response we want from people. You need to focus on yourself, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the way you are, caring so much for people, but think about yourself first. Most importantly, don't change the way you are. Keep caring :) it is their problem if APPRECIATION is not a word in their dictionary. You are awesome the way you are, keep giving love!

Please please pray for an amazing woman who may not have much time life. She has three beautiful children and is a light in the lives of everyone she meets. It's so unfair that she has to suffer and I just want peace for her, but I'm praying for a miracle. The lyrics to this song really relate to her situation, battling terminal cancer and trying to stay strong and be a good mother. She is already an angel in my eyes but please let her have more time

I was in Time square when i first heard this song, it was live and I was waiting for the ball to drop for 2015. Because of that, this beautiful song will always remind me of that beautiful memory
