I loved my time at Hilton Rose Hall (both times I've stayed at the resort) and I do believe there is something everyone will enjoy at the resort. That said, there are 1000s of resorts in the Caribbean and not all of them will be right for everyone. One of the many values of working with a professional travel advisor (such as myself) is that we'll take the time to get to know you and your traveling group by asking questions about your likes/dislikes and the experience you're looking for one vacation. From there we would then make resort recommendations that we feel would deliver the best vacation experience for you and your group. What works for family # 1 may be the worst vacation ever for family # 2. This information below is as of today and subject to change. Seaside, Rum Factory, Moonstone, Mangoes and Three Palms all require reservations for dinner. These can be made up to two days in advance of yoru arrival by calling or emailing the resort. An extra charge is required at Three Palms which is located off-property at a partner golf course. Hello! I have a random question, my family and I have been to this resort 4 times already and are going again soon. Last time we were there (because of covid) everything in the buffet they served for you. Is it still like that? Was just curious, thanks!!
Hey Mads, great question. I was only there for a day and didn't eat in the buffet but I did walk through it and I don't recall staff serving guests. I believe it has gone back to the traditional 'self serve' buffet.
Hi @ingridpadilla8427 Hilton Rose Hall does not have the big letters spelling out Jamaica. That opening shot was from Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. If you wanted a photograph with large letters they have a nice big Montego Bay sign at Sangster airport. That would be my best suggestion. Does that help?

At Hilton Rose Hall, like many resort, tipping is allowed and encouraged for high quality service. It is not mandatory but I would certainly consider tipping for service that warrants the acknowledgement. That said, to tip or not tip and the amount is so personal. I encourage everyone that asks me before they travel to use their own judgement and follow what they would typically do at home. I hope this helps.
I'm planning on booking a package deal and my friend is flying in separately. But we'll be sharing Two queen bed room. I can only add one adult to my package deal since it's a flight and stay. Will they allow my friend to stay with me with no hassle or would we just have to pay the upcharge when I check-in?

Hello, I saw your video on Barcelo Bavaro Palace resort hotel in Punta Cana. Everything looks great. However, I have a question. I'm reading a lot that certain things you cannot do or go if you don't go to time share presentation, which they somehow trick people into. Are these presenters standing in lobby and waiting? If we say no, will they keep at it? Is it something that people have to fight of while in these hotels?
Hi VikRose Nik, thank you for taking the time to watching some of my video tours and for dropping a comment. Are you asking about Barcelo Bavaro Palace or Hilton Rose Hall? Your questions says Barcelo but the video you've commented on is Hilton. That said, I didn't see timeshare sales people at either resort during my visits nor do I believe either have timeshare properties at the resorts. In my experience when there are timeshare sales people a simple 'no thank you' should get them to stop asking you to join their presentation or tour etc. You may need to repeat it a few times but 'no thank you' usually gets the job done. Hope this helps.
Hi, couple questions: How much are the cabanas - do they provide full drinks service during cabana time? How do you reserve restaurants? can you do it ahead of time when you arrive at the resort or do you have to go to each restaurant day of to see Hows the food overall? Can the hotel book you a taxi/shuttle to and from the airport or do you have to find that yourself? Thanks

The cabanas range in price from $95 to $145 per day (prices subject to change) depending on their location. They have pool, beach, ocean view and waterpark cabanas. Restaurant reservations can only be made upon arrival at the resort. I thought the food was fantastic but food is always a subjective topic. Some people may love it and others not so much. If you're at the resort they could be able to call a taxi for you but I doubt they would make arrangement for a taxi to pick you up at the airport. You'd need to make that arrangement on your own. That said, lots of taxi's available at the airport or you could book a private transfer.

There is lots to do besides the pools and the restaurants. There is daily and evening entertainment that is run by the resorts entertainment team. There will be a difference schedule each day. There are other non-organized activities you can do on your schedule such as; using paddle boards, kayaks and other non-motorized water activities, there are tennis courts, a park area for kids, kids club, table tennis tables, giant jenga etc. You'll see many of those in my video, albeit, they were shorter scenes. I did see some authentic Jamaican food items on the menus when I was at the resort including; oxtail stew, rice and peas but I don't recall curried goat. I feel that anyone would have a great time at Hilton Rose Hall, however, this is really a very personal question. A lot of adults traveling with out their children prefer not be around any children while on vacation. That said, a lot of adults don't mind the children and many are also young at heart and really enjoy the child friendly amenities. Waterparks, arcades, etc. How did you book your vacation? You may be able to make a change depending on how you booked.

Sometimes; your transportation is included and other times you need to find your own way to the resort. If you need to find your own transportation you should set up a pre-arranged private transfer. You can Google Montego Bay private transfers and many companies will pop up. Check them out and determine which one is best for you. Hope that helps.

Directly through the cruise line, if so, which one or are you purchasing through resort for a day/another service? The terms and conditions may outline what you can and cannot use during the day. I don't remember any restrictions being mentioned but I should note that only the buffet, Mangos, Jerk Shack and Annie's BBQ seem to be open during the day. The a la carte restaurants only open for dinner.

Hi Adanna, yes it most certainly is an all-inclusive resort. This means your food and drinks are included but be advised that you may encounter additional charges for incidentals such as phone usage, personal services (ie: spa), babysitting etc. Those are just a few examples.
@@mitu6776 if you use the phone in your room to make calls to anyone/place that is not on the resort there will be a usage fee. Especially, if it is long distance.

I've never been to Hilton La Romana so I can only speak of Hilton Rose Hall from first had experience. That said, I know a lot about Hilton La Romana and it is high on my list of resorts I want to travel to with my family. The waterpark/lazy river looks fantastic and the water is crystal clear everyday. Jamaica is one of my favourite destinations to visit in the world but I'll give a slight advantage to Hilton La Romana. If driving time from the airport is a factor you'll need to look at which airports are options. Hilton Rose Hall is 15 min from the airport in Montego Bay. Hilton La Romana is 15 min from the airport in La Romana but sometimes you fly into Punta Cana which is 45 min away. What are the most important elements of a resort that influence your decision?
Lol. Here's a great story about that gentleman who was cooking and serving the jerk chicken. I was there August with a group of Travel Advisors touring the resort. We stopped at the Jerk Hut and they had some jerk chicken and other dishes ready for us but all I wanted was a patty. They didn't have any ready at the time and I couldn't wait as our tour was moving on to see another area of the resort. I had to walk away without a patty in hand. That kind gentleman got the patty's after we left and ran to catch up to our group and hand delivered a plate full of patty's for me the rest of the group. The patty's were great but what I'll remember is him going above and beyond to get me the dish I was craving. Jamaican hospitality at it's finest.

That said, I didn't see timeshare sales people at either resort during my visits nor do I believe either have timeshare properties at the resorts. In my experience when there are timeshare sales people a simple 'no thank you' should get them to stop asking you to join their presentation or tour etc. You may need to repeat it a few times but 'no thank you' usually gets the job done. Hi @jakes5530 thank you for stopping by the channel and and watching my Hilton Rose Hall video tour. The cabanas range in price from $95 to $145 per day (prices subject to change) depending on their location. They have pool, beach, ocean view and waterpark cabanas. Restaurant reservations can only be made upon arrival at the resort. I thought the food was fantastic but food is always a subjective topic. Some people may love it and others not so much. If you're at the resort they could be able to call a taxi for you but I doubt they would make arrangement for a taxi to pick you up at the airport. You'd need to make that arrangement on your own. That said, lots of taxi's available at the airport or you could book a private transfer.
What’s there to do besides the pool and restaurants?

There is lots to do besides the pools and the restaurants. There is daily and evening entertainment that is run by the resorts entertainment team. There will be a difference schedule each day. There are other non-organized activities you can do on your schedule such as; using paddle boards, kayaks and other non-motorized water activities, there are tennis courts, a park area for kids, kids club, table tennis tables, giant jenga etc. You'll see many of those in my video, albeit, they were shorter scenes. Do they have authentic Jamaican food at this resort? Like oxtail, rice and peas, curry goat?
Hey @cliveg3122 this is such a great question. I did see some authentic Jamaican food items on the menus when I was at the resort including; oxtail stew, rice and peas but I don't recall curried goat. I feel that anyone would have a great time at Hilton Rose Hall, however, this is really a very personal question. A lot of adults traveling with out their children prefer not be around any children while on vacation. That said, a lot of adults don't mind the children and many are also young at heart and really enjoy the child friendly amenities. Waterparks, arcades, etc. How did you book your vacation? You may be able to make a change depending on how you booked.

What's the best way to get from the airport to the resort?

Sometimes; your transportation is included and other times you need to find your own way to the resort. If you need to find your own transportation you should set up a pre-arranged private transfer. You can Google Montego Bay private transfers and many companies will pop up. Check them out and determine which one is best for you. Hope that helps.
Looking at this property as a resort for the day on my cruise that stops in Falmouth. Do day guests get to use same restaurants as all inclusive?
Hey Chris, hope you're well. Thanks for stopping by and asking a great question. Who are you considering buy the excursion with? Directly through the cruise line, if so, which one or are you purchasing through resort for a day/another service? The terms and conditions may outline what you can and cannot use during the day. I don't remember any restrictions being mentioned but I should note that only the buffet, Mangos, Jerk Shack and Annie's BBQ seem to be open during the day. The a la carte restaurants only open for dinner.

Hi Adanna, yes it most certainly is an all-inclusive resort. This means your food and drinks are included but be advised that you may encounter additional charges for incidentals such as phone usage, personal services (ie: spa), babysitting etc. Those are just a few examples.

What resort do you think was better, Hilton La Romana or Hilton Rose Hall?

I've never been to Hilton La Romana so I can only speak of Hilton Rose Hall from first had experience. That said, I know a lot about Hilton La Romana and it is high on my list of resorts I want to travel to with my family. The waterpark/lazy river looks fantastic and the water is crystal clear everyday. Jamaica is one of my favourite destinations to visit in the world but I'll give a slight advantage to Hilton La Romana. If driving time from the airport is a factor you'll need to look at which airports are options. Hilton Rose Hall is 15 min from the airport in Montego Bay. Hilton La Romana is 15 min from the airport in La Romana but sometimes you fly into Punta Cana which is 45 min away. What are the most important elements of a resort that influence your decision?

Lol. Here's a great story about that gentleman who was cooking and serving the jerk chicken. I was there August with a group of Travel Advisors touring the resort. We stopped at the Jerk Hut and they had some jerk chicken and other dishes ready for us but all I wanted was a patty. They didn't have any ready at the time and I couldn't wait as our tour was moving on to see another area of the resort. I had to walk away without a patty in hand. That kind gentleman got the patty's after we left and ran to catch up to our group and hand delivered a plate full of patty's for me the rest of the group. The patty's were great but what I'll remember is him going above and beyond to get me the dish I was craving. Jamaican hospitality at it's finest.
