This was an amazing talk. Please do more talks on this channel. You remind me of Bhai Jagraj Singh ji. You are able to bring the points of Sikhi with so much love, and no hate or discrimination, plus also a hint of laughter hehe. As someone living in NZ, it’s really hard to find sangat, so my only real sangat are these videos. It would also be great to have an online space where people from all over the world can get together and make new Sikh friends, and experience Sikhi. Dirty Bhangra songs, partying, drinking alcohol, eating meat, watching unhealthy programs, swearing, relationship's outside of marriage are all extremely negative things but many people think it's okay as 'times are different now' and it's a 'modern age'. It's very sad because if this is what you enjoy there is little chance of you making true sadh sangat, because essential principles are compromised. I truly hope the message of this channel and video is understood.

@@weirdguy320 not all people indulge in those things. Seek out positive company. We are the company we keep. Stay strong to your principles they will serve you well. If those who do negative things treat you as an outcast because you think and do differently that is not a bad thing. In fact it means you are on the right path. Keep positive.

How to forget past bad moments
With the passing time and with gods grace all the bad moments are forgotten. Just make sure you are making new good moments and keep yourself busy in satsangat and sewa
Thanks for sharing your personal experience. What if that family member who enjoys drinking is your spouse? Your adult child?
I stopped drinking one year ago (but I was never a huge drinker, unless socially). My wife socially drinks and does not necessarily agree with my path, but it's MY journey. It's all mind over matter and will make you stronger in the end. All the best 🙏
Then urge the spouse or adult child away from it. A Gursikh should only marry another Gursikh so there's no risk of drinking. If the spouse is drinking sharab tell them they are committing Tankhah.
