Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Been wondering about sacrificial weights is there a way to rig them from the butt end with a second rod and when they break away just reel them in with the other pole?

Tag an release keep sword on surface tool mako or bull eats .thats what did right of coarse a shark coming. Alone with all that carmotion in the water
so once your bait is down, does the sacrificial weight break off when you wind up the slack and put a bit of tension on the whole rig?

they are near the surface at night I think
wazup3333 yeah they do come up for the squid, just not sure if that means best chance of a hookup would be 50ft or 350ft given they’re so deep in the daytime

How does a circle hook, hooks the fish on the side of the jaw,what's the science behind it?
Watch this space as there might be a video coming that will answer that exact question. But basically the fish has just missed the bait and has bitten the leader, so as the fish turns and swims away the hook rolls from the outside in, instead of the inside out.
What brand circle hook is that?
VMC 14/0 or 16/0 depending on bait size

Biggest fishing myth, is circle hooks are safer than J hooks they will swallow both eventually if you fish enough, in my opinion, j hooks are easier to get out if they swallow it
If fished correctly circle hooks are better for the fish, and get a higher hook up rate in the corner of the mouth.
This is a horrible way to rig things! You will lose so much money doing it this way!
How would you rig it ?
You'll only be spending money on wax thread, and a couple other cheap things. Plus its worth it after you get a 1000lb+ fish
