Smooth Diamond? Great name.

Looked it up under Greek mythology. Zeus' brother and many of his characteristics are perfect for a Bering.
Yes, lighten up people. Victoria and Rico are by far the best and classiest yacht RUclipsrs today.
lol thank youuu
So, being an older person, I was going to university when this yacht was built, and had a job at a swank (expensive) yacht club in a suburb of NYC. Some of the richest people in the world live in NYC, yet at that time, there were almost no motor yachts of this size plying the waters of Long Island Sound. Most of the really big yachts were in just 2 states, Florida and California. I wonder if that has changed. Of course, the main reason is that the yachting season here in New York is just three and a half months. The boats go into the water in late May, and are hauled out again in September. By the way, the Hukins corp built fast attack water craft for the navy in WWII. So that would explain the yachts somewhat unusual layout of the yacht-and it's fast speed.!
Thank you so much for sharing that story...I am certain things have changed a lot in the past few years, as there are always a lot of generational changes...nowadays you have a lot of younger wealthy people with different taste and priorities and boats/yachts might be more on their agenda than other things
Its like that here in texas but it's more high dollar fishing yachts and sail boats than anything else.
The reason the boat is so cheap now, the running costs would destroy even a wealthy person.
This is such a lovely walk back in time. Love it.
The garbage disposal was invented in 1927, by John J Hammes. His company, InSinkErator is still around today.
thank you for sharing Bob
@@NautiStyles I just hope no one tears me apart this time. 😢😂 When I shared about the clear ice, so guy just unloaded on me. 🤦♂
@@bobuncle8704Interesting and thanks for the info. Insinkerators Badger line is the industry standard and has been for as long as I remember. I can add your information to my "dazzle them with bullshit" toolbox when talking to customers. :)
I remember Samantha had one in Bewitched... & that was the 60's.
Love you two guys. I get so tickled when you guys think something is old. At 84 years young I don't think about some things like you do. When you think a frig is old I remember back to the iceman bringing ice to put in the icebox I was born in Miami in 1940
yes Carl - some times we need to put things into perspective - what may appear old to us, may not be old to anyone else 😉
I'm with you Carl. I'm 75 and have been boating/yachting most of my life. I had to give it up as I got older and physically unable to run my boat safely. Anyway........I also have to chuckle at some of Victoria's comments.

Love this classic yacht! I personally like the layout and decor (accept for the glass tables). Lots of rear deck space to enjoy. That salon reminds me of our living room back in the 70's and early 80's.
I totally agree!
Totally agree--love that mid-century look in the salon. So superior to many of the modern yachts. One minor thing I would change--is the knobs/handles on the cabinets/drawers. Too bright, too brassy.
yeah, the glass tables need to go but everything else is fine. I also love the decore in the lower salon. A very nice yacht.
Top video guys haven't seen an older yacht look so good.
Done very well.
awww thank you so much - it truly is a beautiful yacht
80's yachts are cooler than modern yachts
they always got something special
Absolutely. The lines are superb.
Including the far more thought through interior space allocation.
This is a cool yacht. Unusual in that it has LOTS of entertaining/relaxing space and only 2 cabins. Might be a great use of space for a couple.
agreed
Ok, I woke up too 3 wonderful videos. The live,The boat name and now the touring one. It's now 11:22am. And just finishing the touring one. Love the name and you guys. Thank you for sharing. Oh and plus I'm watching Bering life too. 😊😊❤❤
💙🙏🏼
I’m late this morning. Garbage disposal invented in 1927! Very interesting vessel, fun tour!! Great name for your vessel 👍🏻😁❤️🍀
Hi Jeff
It’s frustrating how many people don’t understand the use of generality and hyperbole in the English language. If I’m making an argument or using a metaphor “you” doesn’t mean I’m speaking of you specifically. “Our” in your case doesn’t imply you own it. Man in titles and occupational names is used generally to refer to mankind. People are weird and get offended over such nonsense.
Lots of negative people who just want to complain, insult, criticize etc. it’s a sad part of the internet and being a content creator. Best you can do is ignore and move on.
trolls are always going to be trolls
@@NautiStyles well said
Unfortunately “TROLLS” are everywhere across RUclips…I’m still going to thoroughly enjoy watching everything NautiStyles posts for pure pleasure & inspiration 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
@@bethdixon501 Beth Dixon, 501 your definition of pleasure, please
Well Done. In Greek mythology it means "INDISTRUCTABLE".
Fitting for a Bering.
Congratulations
Thank you so much!

Excellent older lady, the yacht❤
Thank you for a jump back in time
Your boats names, is I agree a very fitting for the adventure. ❤❤❤❤
🙌🙌🙌
Victoria’s blouse is stunning. And her hair is perfection.
Oh thank you! 🙈🤪
She rarely has a outfit that doesn’t have stripes on it somewhere, I look for it every video. And no I am not a creep it’s just silly fun
You'd be surprised how many comments come around when I'm not wearing stripes 🤣🤪
@@NautiStylesto be honest I have a good imagination but I can’t imagine the insane comments you must get.
Love this layout. Actually this might be my favorite boat you’ve toured so far. Too many boats put too much of the living space inside, I’m on a boat, if I wanted to hang out inside and watch tv, it’s a lot cheaper to do that on land. The in/out cockpit area is a really cool compromise space.
happy to hear
My favourite too but I felt it is very roomy with practical space. Especially the galley.
Another classic older, but updated, yacht. I'm with you on losing the glass tables. 30 Knots! Wow! I like the old wheel and old instruments in the front of the pilot house. The salon downstairs was a surprise. Lots of storage and a big gally below. Fun tour!
awww thank you so much!
What an amazing boat . Just keeps giving. Loads of space.
thank you Joe
27:35 It's a remote v-drive setup. Allows flexible engine mounting locations for the trim or cg balance, moving a noisy engine away from cabin spaces. Pretty flexible setup. Learned about these for something I have planned for the hopefully near future.
👌🏼
Congratulations on your beautiful yacht! May it continue to bring you joy and wonderful experiences. 🥂
Thank you so much!
I can’t wait until you guys can finally get in your own boat and travel around again…taking us, who can’t physically go, touring along with you.🥰🤗✨ Exciting🎉 channel 😊
awwww thank you - we appreciate you too much!
14:45 Those drawers!! I remember having drawers like those (a little bit smaller) on the 30-ft sloop my family owned and sailed when I was growing up (50 years ago) 😀
thanks for sharing
Enjoy your boat you deserve it .many years of Success guys
awwww thank you so much for the kind words
What a great old beautiful yacht! Thanks as always for another great tour!
Thank you so much for watching Dan - we appreciate you!
Another beautiful live aboard. I like the layout. I agree with Victoria, the glass top tables have to go and the owners cabin would have to be changed. There's no way I'm sleeping in separate beds. Stay safe.
😆
The garbage disposal unit was invented in 1927 by John W. Hammes, an architect working in Racine, Wisconsin. He applied for a patent in 1933 that was issued in 1935. His InSinkErator company put his disposer on the market in 1940.
thank you for this

@@Vincentschneider007 I do too, but she still looks like Carole Brady from the Brady Bunch
I thought the one side angle cut was cool. She is pretty enough to pull off a flattop.😊

I work for the company that makes the electronic controls on this vessel and many others I have seen on your channel. Thank you for bringing attention to the "Emergency Backup Panel". We are one of the very few who manufacture electronic controls that have such a feature. The backup panel truly bypasses the rest of the control system and speaks directly to the engines and transmissions on the vessel. We are the OEM for several companies including Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel and MTU.
Thanks for the info! 💙🙏
Wow, what a unique layout on this Huckins. 👍
glad you like it

Thank you for sharing
Actually garbage disposals have been around for over a thousand years. Sharks. 😂
Good looking yacht, well kept and upgraded.
Yes indeed!
First: I was born in 1937. When I was growing up on the Hudson River in those days (My Dad had a succession of boats culminating after WWII with a surplus CG 83 footer). THE yacht basin at the time was the 79th Street Basin in Mnahattan. Tied up permantly on the Norht facing was the yacht ORION a Feedship of 150' length and on the South facing was a 125' Trumpy beloning to the Corps of Army Engineers. The 79th street yach basin was also our primary source for the diesel fuel on Dad's 52' Wheeler (1,200 gals). The 83 footer carried 3, 500 gals.
Wow thank you so much for sharing this great story
Our is the word of the hour!
great word lol
Its a Lucy and Ricky bedroom!!! For those who don't know the TV censors in the 1950's thought it was too racy to show Ricky and Lucy sleeping in the same bed. The salon/bedrooms are too funny cause it looks like my 1960's ranch house, cream, brass, walnut and oak mid century mod furniture. Only thing missing is the whole wall brick fireplace lol.
I think the Bradys were the first to share a bed .
😜🙏🏼💙
I love the classic and vintage stuff. Would love to see more of that. And the more generally affordable stuff is good too. Loving your channel, and Loving the name of your new yacht! 😊
Noted! 🙏🏻💙⚓️
I’m really glad you did a tour of this beauty. Classic-classy lady.
glad to hear that!
Garbage disposal invented in 1927, and went for sale in 1940!

What a unique layout. So fun seeing how things have changed over the years. Thanks for another great video.
Thanks for watching!
Very enjoyable video. Thankyou.
Our pleasure!

thank you
I thought your new yacht name is 'one two three!'
you thought wrong
Well, that was quite a chore to find out the boat name. I think you had 17 drum rolls and 24 hints, and 3 times "we will tell you here". That was the most round-about effort of any big announcement I have seen anywhere.
thanks Dave
Seriously. I enjoy the older boat tours. You guys did a great job.thanks
Awww thank you so much Ron
Great yacht tour. If you're old enough, those twin beds in the owners suite we call Desi and Lucy beds. From the TV show I Love Lucy. AKA Birth Control Beds. Also that fan dangling by the wire on the flybridge is a real trendsetter fashion statement! Thanks! 😃
thanks for watching
Wonderful boat with amazingly large living spaces. Loved it. Even the 30 knots was very interesting On such a large boat. Very cool!
👌🏼
Great tour
thank you so much Mike
Love you to young people. I get a chuckle when you talk about something being old, like a refrigerator of garbage disposal. I was born in Miami in 1940 when places like the Grove were sleepy fishing towns. My dad commercial fished so I was on a boat at the ripe old age of two weeks. I remember the iceman bringing ice for the icebox 2 or 3 times a week. Boats have come a long way since those days. We would have thought you were nuts if you told us that you could program your boat to go to the islands and it would steer itself and all you had to do was maybe make a few corrections. Keep the videos coming us "old" guys love em. 😍
Carl - thanks for all your comments - you are the best!
I " Love " ( You're ) Tours. Always a pleasure.
Thanks for watching David!
V, I love the casual look.🎉
thank you William
I would love to have this boat as a live aboard ! Huge walkways for fishing and lots of room inside 🤩
sounds like a great plan
You can have it! For $449,000
Interesting , Thank You . Another Well designed Classic that has aged really well . An interesting well designed engine room . As always I want acess to the engine room from inside. The name is interesting
Glad you enjoyed it
Guys don’t worry about loud mouths!! They are just jealous as hell!! Look I wish I could own a yacht but I can’t but getting to see you two go through the entire process, is really entertaining. I wish you good fortune and safe cruising all the way. I’m getting anxious to see the tour video of “ADAMAS”
Yippee for you guys!! That is BEYOND cool that she’s almost done. ✌️❤️🇺🇸😎
Awwww - thank you so much for the kind words!
I'm kinda liking that boat!
I graduated in 1985 and we had all these things you are questioning in out house. LOL
👌🏼😜
Beautiful name I love it awesome😃✨✨ let’s celebrate🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼
🎉
Do you have to deal with asbestos on those older boats if you are reworking them? I could imagine that way back then it was still common.
good question
We had an InSinkErator disposal in our house in the late 1960's or early 1970's. I'm glad I didn't have to snake that refrigerator down and into the galley area. Obviously the air conditioning gets the interior nice and chilly too! 😉😀 edit: spelling after seeing Bob's comment
Thanks for sharing
This boat has an interesting and different layout that I like. Older boats like this one has a "soul" that makes them great. Great tour.
thank you and we agree
Well, considering the deep dive you took to come up with it, I guess it’s ok. Just kidding. That actually has a good vibe. And now you’ll have to supply your charters with that delicacy. 🙃👍😊❤️
I appreciate that
I really enjoyed the video. Very beautiful views 👌 Cool name 😎
Glad you enjoyed it

so far what a great layout so comfortable and great durable environment..diving fishing great adventure boat I like it :) alot very comfortable great function !
We agree!
I remember dishwashers and garbage disposals in a house in Washington, DC in 1963, and they didn't appear to be new. The dishwasher had a handle that looked like a dogging latch.
Thanks for the insight!
Gorgeous absolutely gorgeous…..and the yachts not bad either 😍
Thanks so much! 😊 lol
Those red & white horizontal stripes look awesome on you !
Thank youuuuuu 🙏🏻💙⚓️
I knew she was a HUCKINS as soon as I saw the photo.
Their PT BOAT hull is unmistakable!
"FAIRFORM FLYER" was the descriptive name given their yachts.
Thanks for sharing!
Nice liveaboard boat! 👍👍
yes it is - welcome back
@@NautiStyles 👍👍
Fairform Flyer is a Huckins model name for a series of yachts. As you may be aware, Huckins built PT Boats during WW2. The hulls were built out of triple planked mahogany and marine plywood. Until the 1970s Huckins boats were built of wood and they changed to fiberglass and foam cored fiberglass during the 1970s.

Old School is way Cool! Love this live aboard! The only things I’d change are the glass tables as Vic suggested. Rico was obviously enjoying that helm too. Talking about Victoria….The weather wasn’t the only thing that was hot on this tour…. lol. And can’t wait to hear how you picked the name of your new charter boat and what the name means…. Another fun video. Thanks you guys!
check out this weeks video on NautiGuys it explains how we picked it 😉
Great episode and tour! I see a great opportunity to build a dream yacht from this foundation without a whole lot of upgrading. The galley and master cabin would be where I would focus. Everything else looks serviceable for a while. Great find!

Thank you very much!
Rico, agree with the physical dimensions label. The most obvious info is usually overlooked.

The garbage disposal unit was invented in 1927 by John W. The first Garbage disposeal was invented in 1927. I like the looks of the older yachts, but the more modern ones are nice to
Thanks for the info
Adamus! Nice name! 👏And this is a lovely boat!
awww thank you
Something to consider concerning appliances would be that modern has nothing to do with life span. The refrigerator and washer and dryer already on this yacht will outlast it's modern counterparts. The more electronics incorporated on a device is just that much more that can go wrong. I'd rather replace a gasket because it's old then try to troubleshoot an electronic glitch. Notice the original shower handles and shower head that still work. Ask yourself...do you think something purchased today will still be working 32 years later?
That's a great question...one everyone should ask themselves when making major purchases
Lovely old boat victoria &rico😊
