Renee G I know. Mark and Susan were the best... so sweet. Elisabeth was great, I loved her too, but I think she should have ended up with Romano. He was an arrogant dominant prick at times, but he loved her dearly in his own way over the years. She was the only one who could make him decent. The producers ruined that storyline too.
Renee G I agree, Elisabeth & Peter made a cute interracial couple and were definitely a better match than Elisabeth & Mark. My only problem with this pairing is that I actually shipped Jeanie & Peter. LOL...All the ships I rooted for on the show were doomed.
Renee G Yeah, but I've read that Jeanie came back for just one episode in season 14 and told the nurses that she and Reggie split up. There wasn't even that happy ending!!! (althogh I don't know for sure beacause I stopped watching the show after season 10)... As you said we had at least Doug and Carol! I liked them, but they weren't my favorite couple. I rooted for Carter & Lucy too. Lucy was so sweet. The way they killed her off...my God, I'm still not over it! Carter and Anna Del Amico weren't bad either. Good friends that could have been so much more...
Renee G You're totally right. The show went downhill after Mark's death. The problem was that the characters of the early seasons (1-6) were so powerful and attaching that they couldn't really be replaced...when Romano was killed off in that ridicoulous way (Remember the helicopter falling on his head and squishing him like a bug?) and Elisabeth went back to England, I was done with the show. Carter alone couldn't keep it going.
@lopido Yes that's true. Though I couldn't ever see Elizabeth and Mark as a couple. Susan and Mark had more chemistry in the Union Station episode (when Susan leaves) then I saw in Mark and Elizabeth's whole relationship. They just didn't fit, imo.
@Brad1112223 ya i read the same thing. Atleast she came back in season 8 and continued there friendship. I heard sherry lost over 25-30 million dollars because she left. O well her lost
@lopido Indeed. I read (on Wikipedia) I believe that producers were upset with her for leaving because they were going to get them together soon. They would have been a great couple, probably last until Mark's death for sure.

@lopido Yeah that could have worked. But we'll never know. All in all, a great show in my opinion. I miss its' good years for sure.
