Just found your channel. Loved the video! It was very informative. I'm already an Azure customer and would love the specific type of laundry detergent you recommend. Thank you in advance.

I must admit that I do love the idea of using essential oils over an air freshener. Do you personally prefer the AirDoctor or the Intellipure? And if you prefer that one specific brand over another, why?

I personally don't have an air doctor (my housemate does so I know how they work). I believe intellipure is a much higher quality machine. If I am not mistaken, it has a layer of Zeolite filter that AirDoctor doesn't have and it filters smaller air particulate than AirDoctor. But it kind of depends on your issue. If you don't have too much mold in the home and you need a more affordable option I think AirDoctor is great. But if you are looking for something that really effectively targets mold along with all the typical things that get filtered I would vote for Intellipure. We have 2 intellipures and an Austin Air. I treat Austin Air similarly to Air Doctor however I do believe that Austin Air is cheaper over all and made of less plastic if that matters to you. I don't love that Air doctor picks up vapor in the air (even an essential oil diffuser will make air doctors lights go flashing) I think it is somewhat misleading. All AirPurifiers will filter VOCS and vapors in the air but I feel like the flashing light on Air Doctor is silly. Also AirDoctors have a feature that releases ozone. In looking into the amount of ozone that is released, I don't feel comfortable using that feature because Ozone is toxic. When I use ozone I make sure to not be in the space and ventilate it properly afterwards (see my mold series for this). I don't love the idea that the machine has the option to have low levels of ozone on all the time. I kind of get it, in some ways it is a helpful feature but I prefer to have a separate ozone machine for mold management. Just a preference. That being said I do have an ionizer for my HVAC system that releases small amounts of ozone but again these small air doctor machines are confined to a room so I would rather not use ozone that way... I know that was a lot. It may sound like I hate Air Doctor, I don't. I just think there are better options out there if you can afford it. But this is getting really nitty gritty. It is still a great machine.
