Here it is! The first "hot laps" of Thunderhill West. Not the fastest but as you can see, the track is still a little dirty from construction. Special thanks to Alex Maier!
I raced the first regional at TH in 1993 and the first national in 1994, both on the 1.8 mile east loop. You are SEVERELY tempting me to come out of retirement!
If you don't have a Miata or alike, this section may not be too much fun. Larger high HP cars will struggle I think. This section of track was definitely made for buzz bombs. We'll see this fall. Cautiously optimistic!
Maybe, however, cars with torque are going to pull hard out of all those second gear corners and put "buzz bomb" in the rear view mirror. Thinking BMW e36 and up and similar cars.. There is next to nothing in the way of momentum sustaining sections on the track.

Striping today, Friday. We do not let the dust gather under our feet at Thunderhill Park!
Awesome!
Also, only 20 hours until HOD goes out there! (does my excitement show a little :-D )
Now that looks fun!
Can't wait!
Only 44 more hours to wait!
He looked a little late through turn 32... because there are probably close to 50 turns now!! #endlesslove
I knew it was Dave V. without checking. TH West looks spectacularly cool from the driver's POV
Awesome!
Beeyooootiful!! SuhwEEEEEEt!
When will the edges and berms be striped?
Nice new track!
