Howdy Brother- man, that was an interesting video! Glad that feller is going to keep the family tradition going. Too many younger people just don’t have any interest in keeping the old skills and traditions alive. I’m thankful you are doing what you do with the mills and good, clean country living. We need more like you. God’s blessings to you and your girls
Howdy my brother, glad you enjoyed it. It is an encouragement to a lot of us. I humbly thank you and know I appreciate all that you do to share and help keep things alive. Appreciate you. God bless you all as well
I enjoyed this video, Justro! It's great to see you doing what you love and sharing it with all of us. I didn't know anything about white squirrels before today so thanks for the fun fact! 😊
What a great video! Wonderful to see the milling tradition continuing! You are such a resource and great encourager. Thank you and God bless you for all you do to make this world a better place. My love to Virgibia and Charlotte! Hope they're doing great!🙏 💜🙏💜🙏
Hey Mrs Linda, so glad to hear from you. I am glad you enjoyed it. It is an encouragement to a lot of folks. God bless you for the light you shine…oh yes🙂 I will pass it along to them and they are doing well❤️🙏🏻
I really enjoyed this. It’s so wonderful seeing someone your age so passionate about the old ways. Looking forward to watching them run their mill. Really enjoyed seeing the white squirrel. I knew about them, but I’ve never seen one. See ya soon. Stay warm, was 2 here in Scaly Mountain this morning. 😊❤😊🙏🥶❄️
Very interesting and I bet his grampa is smiling down & thrilled he’s keeping a tradition going 😇 Look forward to the grinding (that corn is beautiful & the favorite of Hoss Tools)
Good evening Justin, again I really enjoyed this video and hearing the history and memories surrounding that ole mill I community was a big part of life in those days we’ve lost that but it’s being revived thank The Lord,I also found your previous video on the seed I’ll be sending you my order and money for some of the Jimmy Red,Hickory King, and some of the sorghum if you have some thanks again I appreciate you.
Good to see this video brother. Love to see someone doing what they love and sharing that with others. Lifes been busy here in KY but need to take time for life if ya know what I mean. God Bless you brother
Hi Justro, so good to see you. Loved the background in the beginning of all the fall colors and the snow. I knew much of nothing about gristmils till I watched your video. Thank you for sharing with us!
Good to see you! I think it’s safe to say you made that fellas day by looking over his mill!! I hope his cornmeal and grits turned out even better than he’d hoped!! Very interesting about the squirrels. The loss of pigment in spots on animals but not the eyes is sometimes called a leucistic trait or gene . It is often bred for in some species in the pet trade. Looks like nature decided that area just needed some fancy squirrels on its own! Thanks for sharing with us and I hope y’all have a great weekend! 😊
it is very good to see a new video my friend tell you another thing i'm looking forward on spring i'm looking forward to spring as i'm going to have a big garden a can and i know you'll have a big garden that can for the winter months i tell you my mama she showed me a way you can can vegetables without using jars like with tomato juice is instead of putting the tomato juice in a jar a gallon size ziploc bag and you can freeze it and let it thaw and you got homemade tomato juice that you can in a ziploc bag just wanted to share that with you let the young man know my condolence to his family on on his grandpa no i didn't know the man but i can honestly say we lose a lot of our elders every day and it's sad😢
Hey Justro, good to see a video, love these old mill's, and that more people are grinding their own corn. Hope everyone's doing okay, you all have been in my prayers. You should watch revelation now, you will be amazed. G-d bless.
I live in northern Indiana today and am a transplant from Grundy Virginia . At one time we had nothing but red fox squirrels but north of us in Michigan were nothing but black squirrels and they started to move south into Indiana and crossbreed with our reds and over just a few years almost all of our squirrels have started to turn gray . At this time red or black squirrels are a lot harder to find here .
Will you do a video about growing thing's by the moon and the signs, i know a little about it, but them video's you did were really interesting. On that other comment i made, it's a channel here, and there's a website with a pdf library that is something people need to know, but i have a hard time even getting the name of it in my comment without it vanishing. The dates are so perfect, and i think if you check it out, you will see it's in the great book and it unlocks so much. Much love to y'all.
If you check out that channel, can you let me know what you think, just a yes or no is good. I read that other book they talk about 14 year's ago, and then i feel like i was led to spread the awareness of it because i had prayed about it, and now it's like something i feel i have to share.
@@metcalfmills5679 sounds great. It wasn’t meant as a bad thing, just a question. Sometimes dreams change and we adapt, reroute, and move forward. I’ve learned as I’m getting older that life and dreams change sometimes as we age, go thru different seasons, and stages in our lives. I will stay tuned and hope this dream comes to fruition for you and the many who will benefit from it. God’s blessings to you and your family. Almost seed starting time here in AL. 👩🌾💚🪴👍
Love to see folks carrying on the traditional ways. Thanks Justro!
Me too! Thank you🙂

Hey, good stuff. We run a water powered grist mill occasionally. Nothing like old machinery getting the job done.
Hey glad you enjoyed. How old is your mill?
I could have watched your entire process with your conversations. Everything was so interesting. Very much enjoyed this video.❤😊
It was going to be very long. Next time I will leave more. Thank you!

Any plans on getting your mill out for the public still or has that dream been dismissed? I was very interested when you was building that.
Nothing has changed, we don’t dismiss dreams around here🙂. Stay tuned!
