Stella smile like my dog used to. My dog had puppies when we didn't know. We didn't keep track. In the winter to and all the pups survived. BY herself.
SilverGaming 5179 nobody’s perfect but it’s not normal to lose 4 puppies out of a 7 puppy litter or an entire litter for that matter OR having puppies regularly born with defects. These people need to put their dogs and puppies health first instead of churning them out for a quick $$$.
Am I the only one listing the number of things wrong with their welping process? Like that room should have soft warm things for the pupps to snuggle in as well as heating lamps to keep the temp regulated. I have dog breeders in my family and my sister specializes in pit bull terriers. These people are supposed to be pros but they are not acting much like it.
Nada Chance during the birthing process there shouldn't be anything in the room besides maybe some Paper towels. After that that's when you bring in blankets and ect for about 1 to 3 weeks

Woah only 3 out of 7?!?! Something isn’t right here... you need to rethink breeding those two together or maybe the female dog just doesn’t produce healthy puppies. Throughout my whole life, our dogs have had maybe 250 puppies all together and we have only had 4 puppies die out of that 250.. I would expect that a breeder would have more knowledge and wouldn’t allow 4 puppies from one litter die and all of the puppies from a previous litter. This video was VERY eye opening and I hope it makes potential buyers think twice about the health of the puppies they are buying from them...
Green Paladin well no I think the dogs they are breeding and selling are more used for home security which I think is great. Some people are very picky with what kind of dog they bring into their home and make part of their family. I don’t have a problem with breeders like this that treat the dogs like their family. But in this video, it’s very obvious that they are doing it solely for the money, and that’s what’s so frustrating.... it’s not normal for puppies to just die like that. /:

Very true. I am in no way a professional dog breeder etc but I have had the pleasure of witnessing my dog in the past have 2 litters. Out of both litters, one puppy was stillborn and it was because my chihuahua had difficulty giving birth. She had to get an emergency c section. I didn't know much about dogs giving birth but I was able to raise healthy pups and they are still alive to this day.
I work with a rescue and a lot of times our pregnant mothers give birth surrounded by volunteers and a vet. Also, maybe one out of every 10 litters loose a puppy. Dogs are even giving birth on the street and having healthier puppies than what Hulk had. It’s just not a good stud😢. Edit: I have no problem with breeding as long as it’s done PROFESSIONALLY and for good reasons (ie to keep a specific breed thriving, service/guide dogs, protection dogs). My dream as a child was too professionally breed golden retrievers, but since I can’t really do that as a job (it’s hard) I choose to foster litters of rescue puppies.
Common sense dictates that a breeder of any kind of animal would have a source of backup power to ensure the safety of the animals involved not to mention any buddy that lives in a country setting should also have some sort of backup power source

Just how many litters has poor Stella had? We've had dogs surrendered by breeders and their bits never hung down like that. What are you doing to these poor dogs? Also the enclosure in which those pups are kept in. Gravel, really?! You can't clean it, therefore the dogs are forced to walk in their own faeces. Huge puppies are a genetic mutation. Trying for it on purpose is no different then breeding teacup or micro breeds. The chance of complications during delivery and poor quality of life is greatly increased. I don't understand people who do that to animals on purpose, for money.

My uncles pit bull gave birth to a litter of 5 puppies in a ditch by herself they didn’t freeze to death cause they couldn’t generate heat the mom laid over them and took care of then babies the way she should without any human interference until they were old enough to walk they need only their mama not some money hungry couple
I work at a vet clinic and I find it really stupid to do this at home without professional supervision! if this litter was worth that much they should have brought Stella to a clinic a few days before or hire an at home vet right when her temperature dropped... it would have turn out much better
I remember when my dogs had pups, they had 3 batches, 21 pups 3 didn't make it, but they were just tiny pups and it was so fun to play with the puppies when the mom would let me touch them

How did she have 7 pups buy only 3 survived? Someone I know bred there dog and it had 11 puppies and they all survived. Maybe you shouldn't mess with the mother and just let her give birth on her own
we adopted our pitbull, she was the only one who survived out of 7 or 8 puppies. her mom was old though. that might be why some of these pups didn’t survive.
I myself am more of a cat person but this is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I've watched dog Dynasty before and remembered hulk and the gentlemen that takes care of him and that's why I clicked. Your girl that did all the birthing work must be an amazing mother. Temperature has nothing to do with a litter surviving, I had amstaff puppies 12 of them lived without any special room or box we just kept them by the mother and they all lived , these owners with such "good dogs" should not have all these problems

My great grandma was a breeder and she loved her dogs and she only breeded 2 at a time and wouldnt breed again unless all the puppies were healthy and they all had homes. If 1 died then she would make sure she found out what happened and if she could improve even if it wasnt her fault

Same my dog had 11 puppies and all survived. My mom helped get the sacs off the puppies but let my dog help as well. It was summer so we had no issues with heating
You would think that with all the money they make they would be able to afford a power generator. They should always have one on hand just in case and they should of finished the whelping room finished before breeding their dogs. If they didn't learn the first time they will never learn.

Nicole Larson that’s very true. My mom always left my dog by herself in a clean/ comfortable area when she was giving birth and would only check on her through a window. It wasn’t until after that my mom would help with any thing else.
That’s actually false because my mom breeds and has for 25yrs and she’s always in the room helping and we’ve never lost pups because of it. Only times we’ve ever lost pups was because they were tiny and stillborn. Helping the mom does not affect whether the pups live or not.
Its still a good idea to regular check up on them, and if they will allow it then sit with them. Although it is true that most female dogs know how to care for their own puppies - at least ones that aren't sick. :)
No way are so many puppies dying for no reason. Either you are letting them die or are doing something wrong. I can see how mad you were when that puppy had a cleft palette. It was so obvious. My friends parents breed puppies they only lost 1. They have never lost an entire litter or half of one. This makes me sick. That poor mom.
Let's be honest. Hulk is a mutt, not even a Staffie. He shouldn't be being bred and I doubt either parent has had extensive health testing. This was abundantly clear with her losing an entire litter just because they hadn't 'planned' correctly. Unless she was having a random complication not brought on by genetics, or she was giving birth outside- basically, unless it was due to unforeseeable environmental circumstances, if she lost the whole litter that's a good indication not to breed her ever again. As it is, she lost over half of a second litter. Do not breed the damn dog. It is very obvious she cannot carry a healthy litter.
Definitely culling which is needed, but not good for TV which is also bad because it has people thinking anyone can put 2 dogs together and get lucky and become rich and famous.

Dogs have an IQ of around 9. They simply do not have the mental capacity to experience advanced emotions such as sorrow and regret to the same extent that humans do. Stella will have probably forgotten the whole ordeal a week later.
I feel for their loss. Now is probably not the time to say this, but I think that one thing needs to be made clear. Hulk is NOT an American Pit Bull, so his puppies are not American Pit Bulls either. I say this to help both people and dogs. There are people that may go out and try to get an American Pit Bull or try to feed their dogs a lot of Bully Max or something so that they can try to have their dog look more like Hulk. Others may go out and wonder why they can't find dogs like Hulk when they go out looking for American Pit Bulls. If people want a dog that is around the same size as or built like Hulk..then they should not buy or search for an American Pit Bull or try to bulk their American Pit Bull up, because they will never look like Hulk. They are not suppose to, and I will explain why. Hulk is either an American Bully or an American Bandogge. He is American Pit Bull and part Mastiff. There are a lot of different Bully/Bulldog breeds and mixes that people call Pit Bulls out there, but they are not American Pit Bulls. Some breeds people call Pit Bulls are breeds like American Staffordshires, American Bulldogs, Staffordshire Bulls, Bull Terriers, Dogo Argentinos, Presa Canarios, American Bullies, etc. But people should learn that just because a dog is called a Pit Bull doesn't make them all the same breed. Before some people look at something like this American Bully or American Bandogge and think it's an American Pit Bull..they need to go watch something like "Jumping Dogs: Champion Pit Bull Can Leap Up Four Metre Walls" and see what an American Pit Bull looks like, can do, and is all about. This dog is much too big, heavy, bulky, and slow to be an American Pit Bull. American Pit Bulls are medium-sized dogs and are not just about power. The American Pit Bull is lean, longer-legged, tight-skinned, and very compact. It is not buff, short-legged, loose-skinned, or slow. American Pit Bulls can run fast and jump high and have the build for the stamina it needs to keep that up. American Pit Bulls are hardy working dogs that were bred to be all-around farm dogs working the farm as cattle/hog dogs to control, catch, drive, and hunt animals both big (wild pigs, deer, bear, etc.) and small (raccoons, badgers, bobcats, etc.). They need that speed, energy, and stamina as much as they need their strength.

It makes me so sad. I work for a dog rescue and foster liters of puppies. When we loose puppies, it’s heartbreaking. I cry for days but then give extra love to the surviving puppies. The last thing on my mind is how much money our rescue will make when they get adopted, rather if they will be loved in their new homes. With a pregnant dog you ALWAYS HAVE TO BE PREPARED FOR A BIRTH. At ALL times.

I work with a rescue and a lot of times our pregnant mothers give birth surrounded by volunteers and a vet. Also, maybe one out of every 10 litters loose a puppy. Dogs are even giving birth on the street and having healthier puppies than what Hulk had. It’s just not a good stud😢.
Edit: I have no problem with breeding as long as it’s done PROFESSIONALLY and for good reasons (ie to keep a specific breed thriving, service/guide dogs, protection dogs). My dream as a child was too professionally breed golden retrievers, but since I can’t really do that as a job (it’s hard) I choose to foster litters of rescue puppies.

Just how many litters has poor Stella had? We've had dogs surrendered by breeders and their bits never hung down like that. What are you doing to these poor dogs? Also the enclosure in which those pups are kept in. Gravel, really?! You can't clean it, therefore the dogs are forced to walk in their own faeces. I work at a vet clinic and I find it really stupid to do this at home without professional supervision! if this litter was worth that much they should have brought Stella to a clinic a few days before or hire an at home vet right when her temperature dropped... it would have turn out much better

Temperature has nothing to do with a litter surviving, I had amstaff puppies 12 of them lived without any special room or box we just kept them by the mother and they all lived , these owners with such "good dogs" should not have all these problems

My great grandma was a breeder and she loved her dogs and she only breeded 2 at a time and wouldnt breed again unless all the puppies were healthy and they all had homes. If 1 died then she would make sure she found out what happened and if she could improve even if it wasnt her fault

Nicole Larson that’s very true. My mom always left my dog by herself in a clean/ comfortable area when she was giving birth and would only check on her through a window. It wasn’t until after that my mom would help with any thing else.
That’s actually false because my mom breeds and has for 25yrs and she’s always in the room helping and we’ve never lost pups because of it. Only times we’ve ever lost pups was because they were tiny and stillborn. Helping the mom does not affect whether the pups live or not.
Its still a good idea to regular check up on them, and if they will allow it then sit with them. Although it is true that most female dogs know how to care for their own puppies - at least ones that aren't sick. :)

Let's be honest. Hulk is a mutt, not even a Staffie. He shouldn't be being bred and I doubt either parent has had extensive health testing. This was abundantly clear with her losing an entire litter just because they hadn't 'planned' correctly. Unless she was having a random complication not brought on by genetics, or she was giving birth outside- basically, unless it was due to unforeseeable environmental circumstances, if she lost the whole litter that's a good indication not to breed her ever again. As it is, she lost over half of a second litter. Do not breed the damn dog. It is very obvious she cannot carry a healthy litter.

Dogs have an IQ of around 9. They simply do not have the mental capacity to experience advanced emotions such as sorrow and regret to the same extent that humans do. Stella will have probably forgotten the whole ordeal a week later.

I feel for their loss. Now is probably not the time to say this, but I think that one thing needs to be made clear. Hulk is NOT an American Pit Bull, so his puppies are not American Pit Bulls either. I say this to help both people and dogs. There are people that may go out and try to get an American Pit Bull or try to feed their dogs a lot of Bully Max or something so that they can try to have their dog look more like Hulk. Others may go out and wonder why they can't find dogs like Hulk when they go out looking for American Pit Bulls. If people want a dog that is around the same size as or built like Hulk..then they should not buy or search for an American Pit Bull or try to bulk their American Pit Bull up, because they will never look like Hulk. They are not suppose to, and I will explain why. Hulk is either an American Bully or an American Bandogge. He is American Pit Bull and part Mastiff. There are a lot of different Bully/Bulldog breeds and mixes that people call Pit Bulls out there, but they are not American Pit Bulls. Some breeds people call Pit Bulls are breeds like American Staffordshires, American Bulldogs, Staffordshire Bulls, Bull Terriers, Dogo Argentinos, Presa Canarios, American Bullies, etc. But people should learn that just because a dog is called a Pit Bull doesn't make them all the same breed. Before some people look at something like this American Bully or American Bandogge and think it's an American Pit Bull..they need to go watch something like "Jumping Dogs: Champion Pit Bull Can Leap Up Four Metre Walls" and see what an American Pit Bull looks like, can do, and is all about. This dog is much too big, heavy, bulky, and slow to be an American Pit Bull. American Pit Bulls are medium-sized dogs and are not just about power. The American Pit Bull is lean, longer-legged, tight-skinned, and very compact. It is not buff, short-legged, loose-skinned, or slow. American Pit Bulls can run fast and jump high and have the build for the stamina it needs to keep that up. American Pit Bulls are hardy working dogs that were bred to be all-around farm dogs working the farm as cattle/hog dogs to control, catch, drive, and hunt animals both big (wild pigs, deer, bear, etc.) and small (raccoons, badgers, bobcats, etc.). They need that speed, energy, and stamina as much as they need their strength.

Actually without the mom helping the puppies more of them would have died because dogs can't tell if their pups have fluid in their mouth by themselves so we have to do that can dogs break the sack on their own a little bit but we have to do most of the work when it comes to helping deliver puppies so stfu and sit back and watch the video because apparently you don't know anything about breeding

It makes me so sad. I work for a dog rescue and foster liters of puppies. When we loose puppies, it’s heartbreaking. I cry for days but then give extra love to the surviving puppies. The last thing on my mind is how much money our rescue will make when they get adopted, rather if they will be loved in their new homes. With a pregnant dog you ALWAYS HAVE TO BE PREPARED FOR A BIRTH. At ALL times.

Ikr? I live 13 miles from the NH border & almost everyone I know up there either has a fireplace, pellet stove, generator or all 3. It's like this is their first season in New England, how stupid. During that last ice storm we had, people were without power for months!
