    Very nice pics, if you gave some tips on why you are using certain lenses for each type of pic, that would give a lot of value for us watching.

    Question: what about model release forms, as I guess you’re going to publisher these photos somewhere? What do you tell people to accept them being published?

    • @iPhone_Photography_School

      A release form is needed if you want to use the photos for commercial proposes. If that's the case, you can approach your subjects, tell them about your intentions and get their approval :)

      @@iPhone_Photography_School So, if it’s for non commercial (hobbyist) purposes I can post them e.g. on 500pics without their explicit consent?

    • @iPhone_Photography_School
      @iPhone_Photography_School  Год назад +1

      @@maesc2001You do need a release for to post photos on sites like 500pix. I recommend checking the sites you are using and check their terms and conditions for more information.
      Here's the 500pix licensing information: 500px.com/licensing/releases
      If the photo is for personal enjoyment and want to publish it on Instagram for example, you don't need a model release.

    • @iPhone_Photography_School
      @iPhone_Photography_School  Год назад +2

      That's one way to go! You can offer to send the photo to your subjects. Some will even appreciate it. And, don't worry about how they will see you, as long as you have honest intentions, most people will let you take their portrait.

    Nice video. Do you ever tell your subject what you will use the photo for? If you plan to post their photo online or on social media, do you tell them or ask their permission? Do you ever offer to send your subject a copy of your photo? If your subject asks for a copy of the photo, what is your response?

    • @iPhone_Photography_School
      @iPhone_Photography_School  Год назад

      It is all up to you and what questions your subject may have. You can tell them what your intention is and what you plan on doing with the photo afterward. You can offer your subjects to send their photo. Some will appreciate the gesture. It is all about connecting with your subjects. :)

      I have done it and it isn’t difficult at all and I am rather shy. People are fascinated by what you are doing and they want to help. If you have your phone out and say you are taking street portraits, most people are sucked in. In fact, they will think you have amazing self-confidence! So, just do it. And remember it’s supposed to be scary and fun.

      @@philipcolumbus3054 thank you so much for the encouragement, I really appreciate it! I thought maybe offering them a copy of the pictures would make them more appealing. • @philipcolumbus3054

      @@JOECorsoNova I find cities easier to find subjects but city dwellers can be harder to deal with. Suburban and rural opportunities are less but the people are usually easier to deal with. I have found that most people are just people and are happy when someone finds them interesting! And if they don’t like the shot, regardless of how good it is, delete it. It keeps them happy.
