It looks lovely. Would you have any tips for adding a drawstring waist instead of the elastic and if you make the long trousers, can you still add the pockets in? Your sew alongs are so useful and step by step. Thank you.

Thank you. Just add button holes to thread a drawstring through a casing. Yes you can have long trousers and pockets.

Does this have a close resemblance to the Zadie jumpsuit?

That's lovely Dianne and really suits you - who'd have thought it used to be a duvet cover! 😂Maybe you could add a belt to cinch it in a bit and define your waist more? Nice for wearing in hot weather.

I really like your play suit. I love the fit. Which size did you make? I think I Would go with a 3 as made Safira trousers in a 3. I like that the bodice doesn’t gape open too. However don’t want it to feel restrictive. Many thanks😊

Hi Ruth, yes I made a 3, it is a good fit, comfy but not at all restrictive. Have fun, 😃

What type of elastic did you use? I tried to use 1 inch wide knitted elastic but it was so strong and stiff and difficult to feed through the casing.

mine was 1 cm wide, did you use a bodkin or large safety pin to feed it through? Try making your channel a little bigger too next time . i hope that helps. Do you know I have moved to here...ruclips.net/channel/UC3lcbQSv7FxVPUNnThyiZNQ

I used a safety pin. Thank you for the updated link.

I made this playsuit but when it was finished I couldn't get into it! I was making a wearable muslin from woven midweight cotton and knew by looking at it it wasn't going to fit so when I added the top to the bottom I only used a basting stitch. All is not lost. I have made the shorts as a separate and going to make the top into a tie blouse to make a "fake" playsuit.

Hi Patricia, that's strange as my fabric was woven but I found it roomy enough to get on. Glad you are still able to use it though.

@@diannessewingroom7 what size did you make? Yours looks stunning on you. I’m a UK 12 but Euro 38 I think if I made a larger size it would have been too big on top according to finished garment measurements I should have been able to get into it. I’ll make it again in stretch jersey

@@patriciapoot1180 I made the size 3 and I'm a size 8 uk. 34, 26, 35 if that helps as sizing varies so much on standard bought clothing.

When you’re tracing through thicker paper, I often stick them to a window or patio door and the light behind helps 😊
