Thank you very much. I was a previous user of the six until I lost it and have been looking at using the five as a replacement but now I know to stick with the six. Thank you very much
The biggest differences between the 5 Plus and 6 Pro apart from price and battery life which you covered is the screen size and legibility which is much better on the 6 Pro and the new HRM and GPS chip. The HRM seems to be more accurate than the old one whereas the new Sony GPS chip is less accurate than on the 5 Plus. The flip side is the Sony chip is way more efficient which explains the vastly superior battery life. The UX is much better on the 6 but I guess that may come to the 5 Plus at a later date with a firmware update. For me the better screen and battery life are worth the premium over the 5 Plus which is still an excellent multi sport watch.
Also, one doesn't need to be at altitude to consider O2 levels in your blood. Strenuous exercise will affect oxy levels, people with lung diseases will want to know oxy levels as well as athletes.
and ...i dont get that ,how can you change or inprove that |? wake up and see how much then go back slpeep with stress ?! soon will count how much at night you breath ..., some things i consider you just better leave as it is and use old school ...dont eat heavy food before night and have at least 7hr of sleep and dont think too much , we used at sport leasons wach as timer on laps around 20 years back and all generation is stronger then xbox and all new gadget warriors at these days , just enjoy your life ...maybe im wrong , but the less you know , the happier you are ;) peace
Great video. Great guy! Question: I also train on a Versaclimber which is like a stair stepper but you also have to hold onto handles at shoulder and head height. Do either of these watches have the software to analyze that kind of data? I noticed over in Garmin that they can measure that type of activity but how does that work if it does?
The Vivoactive 4? If so, I think it was an excellent choice. Honestly the Fenix 6 is more watch than I need as well. It has so many features that I will honestly never use, but it’s an amazing watch none-the-less.
Your comparing a regular watch with a plus watch. If you compare both regular watches like the 5 and the 6 or both 5 plus and the 6 pro. Because the 6 pro is bigger then the regular 6.
NOTHING CAN BEAT 12 DAYS WACH MODE BATTERY LIFE ON FENIX 5 PLUS ....THATS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR A WACH ITSELF ...WHO WANTS EVERY NIGHT CHARGE ALL THE GADGETS LIKE PHONE , EARPODS , WATCH, AND MORE TO COME IN THESE DAYS ..IT WILL BE LIKE CHARGING LAB STATION YOU MUST EVERY NIGHT ....NO THANKS . FOR ME THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IS DISTANCE /TIME/HEART BEATS ,MUSIC ! AND MOTIVATION ;)
Agree. I got the Fenix 5 but realized it didn't have music, returned it and got the 5X Plus Saphire instead. Waiting on it to arrive but from these comparisons I don't see the 6 as that much of an upgrade from the 5X
Great review 👍 those watches look really nice. Just got my first smart watch ever. Liking it so far. Thanks for sharing the information on the 2 watches.
@@donavonhornbeck , I'm really liking it. ..... better than I thought I would. I got the Bluetooth version, that is good enough for me. Like how you can really configure the watch to your personal preference.

Fenix 5x plus saphire or Fenix 6 pro? can't make up my mind
What did you go for?

Got the 5X Plus Sapphire new at less than half the price of the 6 Pro Sapphire. Still think it's worth it? ;)
Pulse Ox is also good to measure blood oxygen while sleeping for people with sleep apnea. Good to see the metrics.
Good point. I've never even considered that use for the Pulse Ox monitor.

Pulse Ox is useful if you get Covid.
Is this the fenix 6 standard version
No
5 Plus support maps, but 6 standard doesn't. LOL! For real upgrade you must buy the Pro version.
@Donavon thanks for the explanation bro. I have the 5 plus and considering to change for the 6pro
Hey Donavon, I'm having a hard time choosing between the Fenix 5 plus, Vivoactive 4, and the Watch Active 2? Which one would you suggest and why?
Me too :D only Huawei GT2 , not active 2 ... Hoping he will answer to you :)
The Fenix 5 plus is the only one with on board maps... if that helps..
Fenix 6
Love the battery life on my 6x Sapphire.
Just got the active 4 going to use it to help me reach my goal. The price was just to steep for the fenix 6. And the 5 did seem a bit bulky
The Vivoactive 4? If so, I think it was an excellent choice. Honestly the Fenix 6 is more watch than I need as well. It has so many features that I will honestly never use, but it’s an amazing watch none-the-less.
5 grammes is a major difference???

Pulse Ox is useful olso for Covid-19
Yeah, it didn't exist when I made this video, but you are absolutely correct.

Which smartwatch did you end up purchasing?
@@donavonhornbeck , I got the Galaxy Watch Active 2
Nice! How are you liking it so far? Did you get the Bluetooth model or the LTE version?
