- This is a lore channel, but every so often I like having discussions on the game itself. In this one were going to discuss every current star rail meta & team comp available in the game. Ill be discussing hypercarry, dot, superbreak and a few others talking about their history, how they perform and what are their limitations as of the current 2.5 patch. This isnt a tier list or anything so be warned
This video is mostly a discussion on the honkai star rail collaboration with fate stay night and its meant to just openly talk about the possible content for the collab so take with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a jumping off point for discussing honkai star rail

Current meta in this game are "how good can you utilize Robin" and break
it's either Charmony Dove or Dying Mech
Me literally, my Robin is working extra hours with my acheron, imbibitor, himeko, herta, ratio and topaz xd

funny how there's so many good hypercarry, follow up attacker or break attackers in the meta but the only good DOT characters in the game are kafka and swan
Sampo and Guinaifen are good F2P options (especially Guinaifen considering Jiaoqiu is more geared towards Acheron than being a five-star Fire DoT option)

Break and FUA are my current favorites, but DOT had a special place in my heart as well.
As an aside, I think the best way forward for Erudition characters would be to have them cross over to other team types, like Jade does with FUA. An Erudition characters with healer, break, or DOT secondary characteristics could improve their relevance without going the way of giving them ridiculous immediate damage output.
5:55 You forgot about jingyuan whos fua can only trigger once per cycle making him the weird stand out fua that doesnt synegies with other fua

For me the meta is one of two. Break teams, and Robin.
In my account break is the only team where I don't need Robin to be the best.
The two Team Comps I've been using a lot lately have been FUA & Break teams. The former was decided on when I got to Trial Aventurine during v2.1 story. Considering how everyone got Dr. Ratio for free and he was a good starter character to pair with Aventurine (I had been using Dr. Ratio as a bit of a Hypercarry up until then), it felt fitting. Plus, it just felt SO GOOD to build our Aventurine and then many other FUA characters, like Topaz when she had her rerun.
Break teams I started building out when Firefly dropped in v2.3. Granted, I pulled hard emotionally for her after all the trailers they released for her. And I was able to bring her home and have been enjoying her as my Break/Hypercarry DPS.
I hope we get like a physical break preservation unit so boothill could have better supports
My favorite team is currently Loucha, Black Swan, Acheron, and Guinaifen/Kafka. Nihility is my most favorite Path to attack with.
My dream team is Loucha, Huohuo, Lingsha, and Bailu. I don’t have Lingsha right now, but I had a dream that I got her in a Ten Pull! So that’s promising for me. (No, I’m being legitimately serious, had a dream about doing a Ten Pull, and got 2 Lingsha’s!! …. I also somehow managed to get an off-banner Sparkle? … which now that I think about it … makes me even more excited for Lingsha!)
My dream team is full Abundance since I’m a Healer Enthusiast, and it’s most likely only going to be effective in the Simulated Universe … yippee!
Seela the only hunt without follow up... lol , hoyo should give small buffs to old champ on base stat or on Jing yuan case so his lord always go no matter what his state is.

- i would argue many of later comp are variation of hypercarry comp, if the team have someone you consider as main dps and other char role is form around that main dps whether or not they r support/sustain or they r there to trigger the main dps kit, then those team are a form of hypercarry comp to me so you could said we haven been using mostly hypercarry comp to this day :))
- A type of comp i think that kinda went under radar or people don't consider it as a "comp" is Dual Dps comp, which become viable near the end of year 1(as they release support that can buff team or multiple char, dps that are very sufficient in self buff so it can act as 2nd dps) and it become a team comp of choice over hypercarry imo.
- I would argue with how AS boss design like recent Aven and Phanytalia where you benefit more if you bring a AoE dps to clear the smaller mobs along with the boss, Erudition might gain more popular outside of PF and might be a valib option in AS(coz many recent boss have a full field of smaller mob) or even MoC if they design more AoE centric line up for MoC.

If only we have a preservation or destruction character that can spread damage taken to allies and also trigger their "get hit" effect. But i don't think hoyo will ever do that
Not gonna happen, that's too OP aventurine's talent will trigger multiple times per turn thus giving fexiao more ult and numby more turns.

@@eden5388 I didnt say it had to be aventurine. What i meant is that mechanic is too OP and broken if the say unit is on the team with aventurine/blade/clara/yunli.
