    One thing I forgot to add. Press and hold both, the CCT and DIM knobs for MAX mode. But the light color temp will be set to 4400K and will output 300 watts!

    NICE tip with the generator! I really wanted the molus at first but was turned off because it does not have a vmount adapter on the balast but the generator tip is amazing i check it out again! thanks !

    Thanks for testing it with a power generator & showing the accurate wattage usage. Even with power generator, the whole package is still smaller and lighter than the existing 200w light with v mount battery i am using 🤣

      @@ArtVideoProductions For the power consumption part, the section on 60% and 80% you press a little bit fast to the next level before the watt number could stabilise, would you mind retest those part and let me know how much power would consume stablely at 60 and 80% level?
      ideally I know I should get a 300wh generator. But given the size and weight, i would like to see If i can get away with a 150-200wh generator, using it at 60/80% level for the convenience of size and weight. sorry for the inconvenience

    This was an excellent review of the light and also the uses of it. The real world example was right on point and really highlighted what you were saying of the versatility of the light. One thing I was curious about is I have Calumet Bowens mounted accessories and they don't seem to fit well in my godox SL60 I was hoping it might be a little easier with this light as well.

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  Год назад +1

      The G200 Bowens mount has a very snug fit as mentioned in the video. It should fit very much ok, but you might want to lay the soft box on the ground to mount the G200. If your Calumet accessory doesn’t fit a SL60W, there is probably something at fault with your ring. Consider getting a file and slightly taper down the 3 square mounts on your ring.

    thank you I wish if you used measurement devices for output and color accuracy

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  Год назад

      Thanks for your question and suggestion. Sometimes I wish the same but spending $1,800 on a color spectrometer when I can actually tell when a light is not accurate in color temperature and green / magenta shift by just eye balling, the same way I can tell if a piano is just a few cents off 440 hertz even if the piano is actually tuned. I guess it’s a gift I have…
      I developed this knowledge in eyeballing accuracy by dealing with lights for 35+ years. But again, of course it’s nice to have that color spectrometer device, no doubt about that.
      Just by unboxing a light and powering it on the the first time, I can tell if the light is going to make me happy or not at 5600K. Some other light brands for example are manufactured too warm for that color by 900 - 1200 kelvin off! . I’m like… don’t they measure it at the factory??
      But this will satisfy your curiosity: the X100 at 10% and under, it’s not accurate. Above 11% yes. The G200 doesn’t seem to have this phenomena.
      You can also trust your camera color settings when set to manual K degrees examining a light how accurate they are. Especially if your camera is on the high end side. And their LCD display calibration is also spot on. Canon C500MKII, Canon R3…etc.

    Does the bowen mount support a multitude of other bowen amount accessories? I've heard that although it is a Bowens mount, it doesn't support other modifiers

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  Год назад

      That’s incorrect. A Bowens mount is a Bowens mount. They all have same 3 square points. The G200 as I mentioned in the video has a tight fit. The best way is to mount the modifier with the G200 off the stand first. Any Bowens will fit.

    Great video man! Really in depth. Well done. Just subscribed! Quick question... Can the mounting bracket be removed? It looks like there are 2 hex bolts attaching it to the body. I'd love to be able to potentially swap out the bracket... or at the very least, the handle. I know you said that it's made from aluminum and that it can handle the weight but that handle looks a bit small and awkward to tighten.
    Thoughts? Thanks!

      @ArtVideoProductions  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the sub man.highly appreciated.
      I don’t have the light in front of me but I don’t think there’s a need whatsoever to modify the bracket. Once it’s locked it’s locked, and strong. I would NOT do it. My only complaint (and other creators too) is that the light head doesn’t have a handle when tilting especially when attaching it with a big modifier.
      The iPhone auto correct drives me crazy. Every time I need to edit a comment 🤣

    Can you power it with a V-Mount somehow even though it has a proprietary Cable?

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  Год назад

      No and even if you could, a 200 - 300 watt light will destroy your Vmount battery cells beyond repair. You’d need two of those like any other 200 light equipped with a Vmount option mound do. You’ll need a power generator as I described.
