- Turn up the volume!!! Bungee jumping 220m (721ft) off the Verzasca Dam in the Italian part of Switzerland. James Bond 007 style! This video was taken with a GoPro* strapped to my wrist so you can see first hand what I was thinking and feeling. This is the scariest thing I have every and probably will ever do (by choice) Video take May 25th, 2013 on my 23rd birthday!

the build up is really long, however I could feel the terror in your emotions coming though, its fucking awesome. Then the jump was even better! I loved this!

haha this is brilliant!! "I cant look down".....looks down "oh jesus", overcoming a fear like that is amazing! At around 4 minutes you go from facing down to sitting back in the harness, how does that work?
azumi2121 They send down another rope and hook once you've stopped bouncing. They instruct you before you jump on what to do as far as hooking it on to come back up. it connects to tour waist allowing you to be in a sitting position instead of upside-down. Seriously the biggest thrill of my life!!!

I'm trying to find out what the total height of the jump is. Not the dam. The dam is 220m The total bungee jump height cannot be 220m or you'd have a flat face. I'm trying to find out if this jump is higher than the Extremo Bungee in Monteverde,Costa Rica which is 143m or 469ft. If this is significantly higher than I'll do it. But all the sites I can find tell me the bloody height of the thing I'm jumping off.
A 10m bungee off of the Burj Al Kalifa is not a 1000ft bungee!

Oh, they let you wear you GoPro?! I took mine with me but was not allowed to wear it for the jump "due to risk of injury" :(
It was a gopro they provided at a cost to use, plus cost to keep the video.
typical. Can't use your own due to health and safety, but pay to use ours and it's OK!

hi, im going to London and paris in September and was thinking of going to Switzerland but if I do go, I DEF. have to make a stop here. I'm just having a hard time finding out how to get there. Can you let me know what city or train I would need to get to this city so I can start looking at hotels? thank you!
Hi Andrea! Your trip sounds very exciting, I highly recommend visiting Switzerland during your travels! This jump is off the verzasca dam in Vogorno, Switzerland. I got there by car and didn't stay the night so I have no advice there.. Have you ever skydived? I went twice. If u have which was scarier? Ive always wanted to bungee jump except i cant really find an extreme place in New Jersey. And when i was researching things to do in switzerland in case i travel there, i saw this and was sold! If you're gonna bungee jump, u gotta really do it! But i read u can injure your eyes from the snapback?? And some ppl have even gone blind?! Very scary! But still so exhilarating!
I have actually! I went skydiving about 5 years ago in Mexico. I wouldn't even compare the two in scariness. Bungee is WAYYY more scary! I can't really even explain why, it just is. Jumping out of a plane was a walk in the park in comparison. Good luck and have fun!
I have 9 skydives and did this same bungee jump in Switzerland. They are nothing alike! Bungee jumping is a bigger adrenaline rush because you start from a dead stop and pick up momentum. Might be a similar experience to skydiving from a helicopter or hot air balloon.

i m just wondering if there is any chance a blood vessel can pop up or anything during the dive; i know it's not a 100 % thing, but what are some risks involved in bungee - jumping

But to compare the two, skydiving is hell of alot more fun! Bungy jumping is over within seconds.
Skyding is also nowhere near as horrible as bungee imo, tried both twice and skydive is faceroll, actually deciding to take the leap of the platform by yourself on bungee is hard for most people, its all on you, skydive your jumper does everything.
But skydive more fun!
