I’ve been working on this video for a few weeks having in mind that it probably will be one of my last videos, if not the last one ever. Truth be told, I knew I would quit sometime this year but I had so many more plans for this summer… Well, that didn’t work out because I’m left with little to no inspiration. I probably will post some more videos this summer but I can’t keep any promises. If this video were to be my goodbye, though… I guess I want to say how thankful I am for these last few years. For people I’ve met along the way, for a community that allowed me to grow as a person and provided a safe space for me to be who I am, especially in terms of my sexuality. I have so much love for this community, and for editing, still, although lately I haven’t been enjoying it the way I used to and I fear it won’t change for the better. I’m moving out this fall so it’s one of the reasons why I started planning to quit in the first place. I could persevere and keep on editing but I don’t want to risk that love I still have; I want to quit without ending up hating something I’ve been doing for years.
I’m keeping my Patreon because making colorings is still something I enjoy thoroughly. Plus, living on my own is going to be hella expensive so… I’ll stay active on my twitter, though probably more on my private account (@aleksandrapriv_).
I’m glad I got to edit my favourite couples, perhaps for the last time. And if it is the last time… I’ll miss you, and I’m sorry. (No, the song choice wasn’t coincidental…)
