Beautiful intro!!! This dresser was rough!!! I loveeee wood bondo!!! The brand i use the ratio is 17 to 1.. sooo a tiny small amount of hardener to the bondo!! You can blend any type of paint to blend! Ive used latex alot! And i do mist it with water too! You did a great job blending for your first time as it can be very difficult to do!! I have a hard time as well putting the transfer arrangements together if they are all single pieces!! This turned out beautifully love it!

For some affordable chalk paint try Wallyworld or Michaels.
Thanks! The wax I used came from a little set of wax paint I got at Walmart. 😊 In another comment someone said you can add chalk or I think baking soda to turn regular paint into chalk paint too!!! I love getting ideas in here!

You did a fabulous job! I love your attitude, your grace and your kindness (God bless you). A lot of firsts for you here and I agree - use what you have at hand! The blending is wonderful and yes, chalk paint is expensive. Sometimes you can get mis-tints at Lowe's or Home Depot. I mix these with a bit of calcium carbonate (chalk) which is cheap to buy, but a HACK is to use baking soda. You only need a bit. The baking soda (sodium bicarb) creates a common base for which the paints will love to play together. It's really easy to blend this way. You are so generous to give this lovely piece to your new neighbor. (BTW, Kacha is from Serbia and she is a super lovely, talented artist as well.) I'm subscribing to your channel because you've got what it takes!! 🥰

Did you notice the white rooster walk by in one shot? I have a few that like to escape the pen because they don’t get along with the others. 😆

That’s very sweet of you to say! I have to give my husband credit, he broke the ice first and just walked over and started talking, come to find out they can’t understand us. But they called a family member and we were able to chat a little. They are very nice!
I love the textures you have going on the piece. But my fav was the chicken/rooster quality checks, LOL!
Oh funny! I had multiple times when filming where they came through, most of it got edited out. 😆 at one point you see a white rooster walk through the back though.

Do you have a preferred brand? I saw a video where they had a non toxic one and I’m interested in finding that. I don’t remember the brand name though. 🙁
@waycool365 I've been hearing that Oven Cleaner actually works well as a paint stripper,... but I've never personally tried it...
