The moral of this testimony is a IMPERFECT woman and a PERFECT God. Not religion, not church, not law, not love with conditions. I pray for everyone to experience this kind of true freedom and love. The kind of love that knocked Saul clean off his horse as he was killing God's people and God spoke to him, changed his name and USED HIM FOR HIS GLORY. Whew... I am sooooo glad that same God lives in ME!!! He LIVES in us all! I used to be a very judgmental person and reaped the karma full circle.. I just pray for everyone struggling with judgment (even judgement of self, struggling with shame and guilt) can be delivered in Jesus name so you can truly see who HE IS and see who YOU ARE!!! I felt this...I went through a divorce after 22 years and it was what I accepted that hurt me. I didn't grieve that relationship because I know for sure that it went on for far too long. But I destroyed ME because I didn't let go when I should have. I thought it was what God wanted for me, but when I finally let go, the suffering stopped. I would have been dead if I had kept going.
One thing I saw someone say on Twitter is that healing is not linear; it comes in waves and I’ve never related so much. One minute you’re fine and think you’re over it. Next minute you’re in bed crying with a tub of ice cream watching sad movies. I’ve learned to let my emotions flow and not try to mask them for the sake of “staying strong”. Girl, when I tell you I’m crying watching this. I’m on the brink of divorce after 9 years of marriage 17 years of being together. Infidelity and no trust on top of a lot of other past ish. I’m stuck in a place where I feel like I have to make things work for my kids (5 kids) but what about me ? Who am I ? What about my happiness ?

Sometimes we think about our children, but lets take a moment and think about this… what is the relationship showing my kids, would I want my children to endure the things that I’m going through? Also, at the end of the day if mommy isn’t whole or happy, how can your babies be fully whole and happy? Wishing you love, peace, and happiness on this journey.
I've been in this same situation, and it took for me to understand that as much as I was sticking it out because of the kids; I had to leave for the kids. When you're unhappy and suffering silently, it drains you. I became a shell of myself who was just waking up every morning just to survive until it was time to go to bed and then wake up to do it all again. It wasn't healthy for me or my kids. When being emotionally drained started to affect me physically, I knew it was time to go. I was always tired, irritable, just fed the f**k up with everything at all times. It took for my kids to say "Mommy why don't you ever want to play with us anymore?" or "Mommy, why do you always look sad?" for me to understand that I couldn't pour from an empty cup. I wasn't myself, and my kids were starting to notice. Because i was staying in an unhealthy marriage, I was spending most of my energy trying to just survive and stay sane, so when it came to my kids, I had nothing left to give them. While I was trying to give my kids their dad and a happy family, I was taking their mom away at the same time. When i left, yes, I was scared. I was TERRIFIED not knowing or believing that I could make it by myself, but I just decided to take a leap of faith and pray that God would catch me. AND HE DID! it may have taken me 2 years to see what God was doing in my life, but the moment I decided in my heart and mind to leave, I instantly felt like He caught me. I have never packed so fast in all my life and was happy about it lol. I would wake up and PACK. Get off of work and PACK. I didn't even know where we were going or how we were getting there, but we were packed and ready to go. So when God lined everything up and made leaving possible I was resolved. I didnt second guess itor yhink what if; i was ready for the journey we were about to go on. I didn't mean to write a novel, but I really wanted you and other people in the moment going through it to know that it may be scary at first, but there is peace on the other side. You find you again on the other side.
Don't be there for the kids you have to make your self happy my mom was in a marriage that was not a good marriage and choosing abusive one and so I'm just letting you know don't do what my mama did be in the marriage for the kids if your heart is not there just leave and don't look back make yourself happy you don't have One Life to live
Same thing happened to me while I was engaged. I was in the bathroom a little under a year before we were supposed to get married & I looked at myself in the mirror. Instantly I felt & heard something inside me say you don't need to get married, he's not the one for you & you'll be alone & divorced soon after. Around 5 months before he said he didn't want to get married anymore, then 1 week later he came back & said he still wanted to get married but just needed more time. 3 weeks later I ended everything & followed that voice I heard!! Since then I haven't been taking shyat from nobody son!!!!

Being someone who has always been self-aware, being able to say "I respond to this type of thing this way because of this..." I didn't realize how much my childhood affected my today (at 39) til I spoke to a therapist. She made me realize I had been through A LOT as a child (to the point of generalized anxiety disorder and PTSD diagnosis) and I minimize it in my mind to protect myself and not view myself as a victim, even though I was. But minimizing my experiences put me in a state of eventually minimizing myself. And I ended up in an abusive relationship with someone who pushed me down and made me feel small and I shrank for him, I made excuses for him, I dismissed things he did/said to diminish them being actual issues. Sometimes you don't realize how you're affected til you're presented with certain people, place, things, and situations. I've been single 8 years and I'm okay with living the rest of my life as such because I REFUSE to allow anyone to come to me chaotic or disturbing my space or energy. I don't expect perfect but if you're not an addition, even if you're neutral, you're a subtraction and it's a HELL MUTHAFUCKING NAW for me.

Forgiveness is for one’s self not the “perpetrator”. Forgiveness is the foundation for healing. You’re story hits home and resonates with me and my daughter. I’m so blessed my daughter got it before God called her home. I buried her a week before Christmas but I know that she’s in heaven being my number 1 cheerleader just as I was for her for 38 yrs. Often time I get upset with my surroundings but then I remember I can only be mad at me because people treat us the way we allow them to then I realize being that way is a double whammy so I shake it off. Sometimes God put obstacles in our lives so we can notice him more. No shame baby girl your journey will help navigate others. So sorry for your loss my sister passed at 38 fighting cancer 3yrs. I know she watches over me. But In a dream she came to me and hugged me and didn't let go and she said it's ok she loved me. I didn't make it that day to see her she passed next day that morning my heart was broken. Spirit sometimes visits me after there passing! God bless!

I’ve been single for 6 years. I was in one toxic relationship after another and finally got out. It was hard at first because I dated a lot and dealt with men that weren’t for me. Once I buckled down, I got my Associates Degree and just recently received my Bachelor’s Degree. I’m in therapy and REFUSE to allow anyone around me that isn’t for me. I understand why God wanted me to wait. If I got a man back then, it would have been the same old cycle.

Definitely relatable ……I lied to myself for two years acting like I was healed and felt better when I left my bd . And once I acknowledged I was still hurting and went through it ….. but I was glad I was on the other side of it. Looking back at it I saw the red flags and ignored it all and tried to make it make sense the whole relationship

The how did I ever accept this as a girl and woman phase is rough. Been here, survived, 11 years of healing for me but especially the last 6 years really was the work. Spent my entire 20's in a nightmare now I'm 40 and I'm so grateful everyday. I thank that girl in her teens and 20's for surviving the quicksand and helping me to be free today.
I got married at the age of 19 , and we had our first baby after a year of marriage. My mom told me to wait a few years to have kids, it’s definitely awesome advice!! we have been married for 33 years now, praise God! I recommend for anyone to wait at least 3 years, so you can take that time to be with your mate. We have a 31, 29 and 27 , our twins just made 18, time flies!!

We now share 4 children each of them 2 years apart and our oldest will be 7 next month. There was so much trauma and abuse I experienced in these past 7 years and I was numbing out with weed as well. Realizing the capacity/consequences of me trying to do it my way when I was clearly told (by a spiritual medium & face reader)after having my first child "Don't stay with him because you will continue to have more children and it won't be good for you". It hits like a ton of bricks, especially pertaining to what my kids have experienced. But God! He kept me, He never left. So in this moment of healing for me I thank God for using you to let me know that I'm not alone out here. Love you Tierra

I felt that… Now divorced, I remember asking God was I supposed to marry this person and clear as day he said no… and I didn’t listen. I was too afraid to speak up and call things off. God speaks! and now I listen and act in obedience.

Thank you for the confirmation that I needed to finally surrender and start my weed/alcohol fast! I'm getting over a fresh divorce as well (last 8 months) and I share kid(s) as well. The amount of maturity it takes to really just give in to God and fully surrender is so underrated. You are so loved, protected and divinely guided my love! Inner child healing is the toughest for me -- I JUST CRIED MY EYES out last night to an inner child meditation because I keep feeling defeated that I'm not as healed as I'd like to be for my children. One thing I agree with, God doesn't turn His back on us. We turn our back on him at times. God is Always there 🙏 for us, it's up to us to seek him, get in touch with Him. I felt this...I went through a divorce after 22 years and it was what I accepted that hurt me. I didn't grieve that relationship because I know for sure that it went on for far too long. But I destroyed ME because I didn't let go when I should have. I thought it was what God wanted for me, but when I finally let go, the suffering stopped. I would have been dead if I had kept going.
One thing I saw someone say on Twitter is that healing is not linear; it comes in waves and I’ve never related so much. One minute you’re fine and think you’re over it. Next minute you’re in bed crying with a tub of ice cream watching sad movies. I’ve learned to let my emotions flow and not try to mask them for the sake of “staying strong”. I've been in this same situation, and it took for me to understand that as much as I was sticking it out because of the kids; I had to leave for the kids. When you're unhappy and suffering silently, it drains you. I became a shell of myself who was just waking up every morning just to survive until it was time to go to bed and then wake up to do it all again. It wasn't healthy for me or my kids. When being emotionally drained started to affect me physically, I knew it was time to go. I was always tired, irritable, just fed the f**k up with everything at all times. It took for my kids to say "Mommy why don't you ever want to play with us anymore?" or "Mommy, why do you always look sad?" for me to understand that I couldn't pour from an empty cup. I wasn't myself, and my kids were starting to notice. Because i was staying in an unhealthy marriage, I was spending most of my energy trying to just survive and stay sane, so when it came to my kids, I had nothing left to give them. While I was trying to give my kids their dad and a happy family, I was taking their mom away at the same time. When i left, yes, I was scared. I was TERRIFIED not knowing or believing that I could make it by myself, but I just decided to take a leap of faith and pray that God would catch me. AND HE DID! it may have taken me 2 years to see what God was doing in my life, but the moment I decided in my heart and mind to leave, I instantly felt like He caught me. I have never packed so fast in all my life and was happy about it lol. I would wake up and PACK. Get off of work and PACK. I didn't even know where we were going or how we were getting there, but we were packed and ready to go. So when God lined everything up and made leaving possible I was resolved. I didnt second guess itor yhink what if; i was ready for the journey we were about to go on. I didn't mean to write a novel, but I really wanted you and other people in the moment going through it to know that it may be scary at first, but there is peace on the other side. You find you again on the other side.
Don't be there for the kids you have to make your self happy my mom was in a marriage that was not a good marriage and choosing abusive one and so I'm just letting you know don't do what my mama did be in the marriage for the kids if your heart is not there just leave and don't look back make yourself happy you don't have One Life to live
Same thing happened to me while I was engaged. I was in the bathroom a little under a year before we were supposed to get married & I looked at myself in the mirror. Instantly I felt & heard something inside me say you don't need to get married, he's not the one for you & you'll be alone & divorced soon after. Around 5 months before he said he didn't want to get married anymore, then 1 week later he came back & said he still wanted to get married but just needed more time. 3 weeks later I ended everything & followed that voice I heard!! Since then I haven't been taking shyat from nobody son!!!!

Being someone who has always been self-aware, being able to say "I respond to this type of thing this way because of this..." I didn't realize how much my childhood affected my today (at 39) til I spoke to a therapist. She made me realize I had been through A LOT as a child (to the point of generalized anxiety disorder and PTSD diagnosis) and I minimize it in my mind to protect myself and not view myself as a victim, even though I was. But minimizing my experiences put me in a state of eventually minimizing myself. And I ended up in an abusive relationship with someone who pushed me down and made me feel small and I shrank for him, I made excuses for him, I dismissed things he did/said to diminish them being actual issues. Sometimes you don't realize how you're affected til you're presented with certain people, place, things, and situations. I've been single 8 years and I'm okay with living the rest of my life as such because I REFUSE to allow anyone to come to me chaotic or disturbing my space or energy. I don't expect perfect but if you're not an addition, even if you're neutral, you're a subtraction and it's a HELL MUTHAFUCKING NAW for me.

Forgiveness is for one’s self not the “perpetrator”. Forgiveness is the foundation for healing. You’re story hits home and resonates with me and my daughter. I’m so blessed my daughter got it before God called her home. I buried her a week before Christmas but I know that she’s in heaven being my number 1 cheerleader just as I was for her for 38 yrs. Often time I get upset with my surroundings but then I remember I can only be mad at me because people treat us the way we allow them to then I realize being that way is a double whammy so I shake it off. Sometimes God put obstacles in our lives so we can notice him more. No shame baby girl your journey will help navigate others. So sorry for your loss my sister passed at 38 fighting cancer 3yrs. I know she watches over me. But In a dream she came to me and hugged me and didn't let go and she said it's ok she loved me. I’ve been single for 6 years. I was in one toxic relationship after another and finally got out. It was hard at first because I dated a lot and dealt with men that weren’t for me. Once I buckled down, I got my Associates Degree and just recently received my Bachelor’s Degree. I’m in therapy and REFUSE to allow anyone around me that isn’t for me. I understand why God wanted me to wait. If I got a man back then, it would have been the same old cycle.

Definitely relatable ……I lied to myself for two years acting like I was healed and felt better when I left my bd . And once I acknowledged I was still hurting and went through it ….. but I was glad I was on the other side of it. Looking back at it I saw the red flags and ignored it all and tried to make it make sense the whole relationship

The how did I ever accept this as a girl and woman phase is rough. Been here, survived, 11 years of healing for me but especially the last 6 years really was the work. Spent my entire 20's in a nightmare now I'm 40 and I'm so grateful everyday. I thank that girl in her teens and 20's for surviving the quicksand and helping me to be free today.

I am recently separated from my children's father after 7 years but I met him 13 years ago. We now share 4 children each of them 2 years apart and our oldest will be 7 next month. There was so much trauma and abuse I experienced in these past 7 years and I was numbing out with weed as well. Realizing the capacity/consequences of me trying to do it my way when I was clearly told (by a spiritual medium & face reader)after having my first child "Don't stay with him because you will continue to have more children and it won't be good for you". It hits like a ton of bricks, especially pertaining to what my kids have experienced. But God! He kept me, He never left. So in this moment of healing for me I thank God for using you to let me know that I'm not alone out here. Love you Tierra

Tierra, thank you so much for this bravery. It may look easy to share this level of transparency but it is not and I know. Thank you for the confirmation that I needed to finally surrender and start my weed/alcohol fast! I'm getting over a fresh divorce as well (last 8 months) and I share kid(s) as well. The amount of maturity it takes to really just give in to God and fully surrender is so underrated. You are so loved, protected and divinely guided my love! Inner child healing is the toughest for me -- I JUST CRIED MY EYES out last night to an inner child meditation because I keep feeling defeated that I'm not as healed as I'd like to be for my children. Its been the hardest part about my spiritual awakening so far. I would genuinely loved it if you gave my RUclips Channel a glance because it is through my spiritual awakening that God allowed me to create jy channel--Its dwells in spirituality, journaling, and honest conversations such as this. I think most of us (810 babies) either exists or has existed in survival mode for a long time and I pray that we all begin to happen to life rather than life just letting life happen to us.

Hi. Tierra. Thank you for sharing your life story 🙏. I've went through some similar issues like that, but mines was more abusive in my younger relationship. I thank God for seeing me through that. One thing I agree with, God doesn't turn His back on us. We turn our back on him at times. God is Always there 🙏 for us, it's up to us to seek him, get in touch with Him. He's there to help us through whatever we're going through. There's nothing too hard for God to handle 🙏. Jesus can work it 🙏 out. No matter what it is.
