I beg to disagree. I'm not fan of darren though pauline. But when i watch their cover on wish bus. Darren is really different to pauline performance. Darrens performance in fantasia's i believe is really the best compare to pauline. But still there are pauline cover that i can say she's good at. But in this rendition/cover i'll go for darren no DOUBT
You are missing the point of the comment. It is not saying that one is better than the other it is just the other's version sounds more "gospelly" than the other. Darren's version is more mainstream belting pop while Pauline sounds like an African American singing it in church. That was the point of the comment.

For a change for your consideration (am an admirer of your take on artists - wanna watch your opinion on this too) can you also react to a pioneering BL series in the Philippines, a taboo topic in the mainstream media except as caricature-comedic relief in sitcoms and dramas in a very conservative country. Though it may not get your usual views because it is not your usual audience for your Music RVs, but it is a socially conscious series with advocacies relevant to the LGBT+ issues - some are taboos even within the community. GAMEBOYS the series is produced by The Idea First Company, more into Indie Films going the rounds of International Filmfests around the world with a reputation of going the 'out of the box' route in their ventures, at least in the Philippines, a conservative nation, the only Christian country in Asia (mostly Catholic like Latin countries, former colonies of Spain), so this company is not into the mainstream especially in the heavily censored mainstream media especially sexuality topics are taboo especially LGBT+ except comic relief in mainstream TV dramas and movies as aforementioned. GAMEBOYS was intended EXPERIMENTAL with initial 4 episodes. It was made A MONTH into this pandemic, in April when the world was in literal standstill, and during one of the strictest versions of a LOCKDOWN/QUARANTINE where people get literally arrested on the spot without government passes/permits for essential activities defined by the government and for front liners only. To maneuver around the restrictive lockdown protocols, GAMEBOYS was shot using a pioneering method never tried before because actors used their own phones as cameras, setting up themselves (!) from doing their own make-up themselves, lighting, camera angles, background sets (delivered through couriers), sending massive digital HD files to production staff etc... direction for anything etc were done digitally from a distance ... acting meant staring into their own phone cameras with only the voices of their co-actors from the side in a different gadget and the facial expressions and body language of their co-actors were left to the imagination of the actor in the main frame. The ensemble of actors are non-mainstream in the Philippines for they are more into INDIE films as aforementioned except for one (Kokoy) who was also in the cusp of the mainstream ... TheIdeaFirst is a company without a digital presence only a RUclips channel with only around a thousand subscribers used mainly to promote their Indie films shown in select 'special' theaters in a very limited run. Then out of nowhere, in the middle of this pandemic, in May, GAMEBOYS the first episode was dropped out of nowhere, without any fanfare, no prior media promotions whatsoever, no teasers nor trailers at all. This first episode was the most difficult of all according to one of the protagonist Elijah (playing “Cai”), because everyone was WINGING a method never done before, taking them 7-8 re-shoots in one month only for episode 1! Several versions of the "CAI" character were tried from ‘too fem’ to ‘too butch’ until settling with the version shown. It was the RUclips reactors both LOCAL and INTERNATIONAL that took notice and GAMEBOYS went viral unexpectedly, especially Twitter went nuts (!), so from 4 episodes, due to the clamor of fans it got extended to 13 episodes! I watched this out of curiosity mainly because of boredom brought by this pandemic, otherwise I wouldn't watch any of these; but glad I did 'cos boy was I shookttttt!!!!!! YT reactors who are the real BL knowledgeable (how would I know this was my first) are unanimous in saying this is "god-tier" BL series, yet the first from the Philippines! It opened the door for this genre in Philippines, a very conservative country, to flourish, many came after that are really good, though truth be told many trash also came, oh well they are a democracy so ... For a change for your consideration (am an admirer of your take on artists - wanna watch your opinion on this too) can you also react to a pioneering BL series in the Philippines, a taboo topic in the mainstream media except as caricature-comedic relief in sitcoms and dramas in a very conservative country. Though it may not get your usual views because it is not your usual audience for your Music RVs, but it is a socially conscious series with advocacies relevant to the LGBT+ issues - some are taboos even within the community. GAMEBOYS the series is produced by The Idea First Company, more into Indie Films going the rounds of International Filmfests around the world with a reputation of going the 'out of the box' route in their ventures, at least in the Philippines, a conservative nation, the only Christian country in Asia (mostly Catholic like Latin countries, former colonies of Spain), so this company is not into the mainstream especially in the heavily censored mainstream media especially sexuality topics are taboo especially LGBT+ except comic relief in mainstream TV dramas and movies as aforementioned. GAMEBOYS was intended EXPERIMENTAL with initial 4 episodes. It was made A MONTH into this pandemic, in April when the world was in literal standstill, and during one of the strictest versions of a LOCKDOWN/QUARANTINE where people get literally arrested on the spot without government passes/permits for essential activities defined by the government and for front liners only. To maneuver around the restrictive lockdown protocols, GAMEBOYS was shot using a pioneering method never tried before because actors used their own phones as cameras, setting up themselves (!) from doing their own make-up themselves, lighting, camera angles, background sets (delivered through couriers), sending massive digital HD files to production staff etc... direction for anything etc were done digitally from a distance ... acting meant staring into their own phone cameras with only the voices of their co-actors from the side in a different gadget and the facial expressions and body language of their co-actors were left to the imagination of the actor in the main frame. The ensemble of actors are non-mainstream in the Philippines for they are more into INDIE films as aforementioned except for one (Kokoy) who was also in the cusp of the mainstream ... TheIdeaFirst is a company without a digital presence only a RUclips channel with only around a thousand subscribers used mainly to promote their Indie films shown in select 'special' theaters in a very limited run. Then out of nowhere, in the middle of this pandemic, in May, GAMEBOYS the first episode was dropped out of nowhere, without any fanfare, no prior media promotions whatsoever, no teasers nor trailers at all. This first episode was the most difficult of all according to one of the protagonist Elijah (playing “Cai”), because everyone was WINGING a method never done before, taking them 7-8 re-shoots in one month only for episode 1! Several versions of the "CAI" character were tried from ‘too fem’ to ‘too butch’ until settling with the version shown. It was the RUclips reactors both LOCAL and INTERNATIONAL that took notice and GAMEBOYS went viral unexpectedly, especially Twitter went nuts (!), so from 4 episodes, due to the clamor of fans it got extended to 13 episodes! I watched this out of curiosity mainly because of boredom brought by this pandemic, otherwise I wouldn't watch any of these; but glad I did 'cos boy was I shookttttt!!!!!! YT reactors who are the real BL knowledgeable (how would I know this was my first) are unanimous in saying this is "god-tier" BL series, yet the first from the Philippines! It opened the door for this genre in Philippines, a very conservative country, to flourish, many came after that are really good, though truth be told many trash also came, oh well they are a democracy so ... YOU GOTTA WATCH IT FOR YOU TO BELIEVE! Wait around episode 3 or 4 to adjust to mainly cultural differences ... stay safe ... peace ...
