Sir, you told summons cannot be sent by post but under section 63. "Letter sent by registered post, addressed to the chief officer of of the corporation of India,....? What does it mean?

If the person summoned is in active service of any corporation, instead of sending summons directly to that person, it can be sent to secretary or head of that corporation and that head will execute the summons by tendering one copy to the person summoned. General rule is that summons cannot be sent by post to the parties to suit or case but it can be sent by post to witnesses and even if the summons need to be sent to corporate bodies it can be sent by registered post.
