I heard people saying that stealth might close ever since the closure of ka. I think stealth would be one of the last remaining hydraulic launch coasters in the world and once it does get removed, i would like to see a vekoma dueling coaster with a very punchy lsm launch and some inversions
@AirtimeRush I'm not too upset that Rita could be gone soon, just replace with a mack LSM coaster and you're good to go, stealth might still exist for many years to come though
I’d rather the island next to the swarm gets used in its entirety for an rmc, and instead of a family spinning coaster, I think a gerstlauer multi launch family - thrill coaster would be a better fit. It would have a low height restriction but still be appealing to all the thrill seekers that go to Thorpe. I would put the station and plaza where slammer is and have the track weave in and out all throughout that area, especially going along the pathway where saw alive used to be as there’s a bunch of open space there, could even have it go over the water at some points and have the water splash that hyperia always wanted hahaha
@ for sure , hopefully they change the walking dead back to X soon aswell so they can change the height restriction back to 1.2 and have another family coaster
With your flying coaster idea. Verkoma already make them type of flying coaster the one Iv ridden is actually one of my favourite ones out there. Don’t have vertical lift but the idea is the same search Verkoma flying Dutchmen as that’s the model you see pov of them
Yeah Vekoma flying Dutchmen coasters are horribly rough, I like the look of the new flying coasters they do, they look so much smoother, most of the old Vekoma flyers are starting to close down now
Get rid of SAW: The ride and collosus all together. Two very rough rides. Add a Vekoma tilt coaster there with a Family boomerang from Vekoma as well. As a bonus some flats for families and keep Samurai around. (The reason Toverland is doing so well, is for every thrill ride, they add a ride in that the whole family can enjoy and even one for the smallest kids.) I should remove the swinging ship ride and replace it with a large Intamin Bounty somewhere in the park. (Size of Eftelings's Halve Maen.) I would add another family coaster somewhere in the park by either Intamin or ART-Engeneering. I would Demolish the indoor Vekoma one, it is unique, but replace it with a larger Vekoma indoor coaster which has a little more oomf like Vogel Rok at Efteling. (also a family coaster), or a RMC "Fire in the Hole" ride indoors. I would also connect a path between Stealth and The Swarm, and try to fix the shakeness of the trains of The Swarm with B&M. I would defenittly remove the Rapids, but replace it with another more exciting one. I also would add higher quality food options in the park as well. I would defenitly build more darkrides in the park. Efteling, Disney, Universal and Europapark show the world they can be exciting enough. I feel like the Dome needs to go and the whole entrance needs a very BIG update. The dome has a large empty space and you can do so much more by just making it a plaza with large shops, quality food options and if you open it up to outside: Gone are the doors that are a obstacle for guestflow. (I know some people love the dome, but I do not think in what fans want, but what can improve a park operations wise.) Talking about operations. Every train of a coaster needs to be send out in a 2 minutes time frame, or less. Not the 8 minute operations for a train dispatch Thorpe has on days at the moment. Replacement for the rapids: One by Intamin that isn't a lazy river with a more exciting layout, or one by RES. Which can do slides, vertical lifts, drops etc. Intamin even drop tracks in their rapids. I would defenitly also add a outdoor track ride like old timers or something like the garden tour at Toverland where younger kids can ride in a vehicle through scenery and animatronics. Also, I would turn the park into an all season park. The ones on the other side of the North Sea are super succesful. (Efteling, Disney, Toverland and Phantasialand. (Europapark is a seasonal park still.)
I actually love collosus but they do need to change the trains as they are rather cramped which does make it a bit uncomfortable and difficult to get in and out of. Would love to see a RMC come to Thorpe
What Thorpe park should have done was to fixed up logger leap because that was a great water ride and it is good that the theme park is finally getting a proper hotel instead of them small cabins
Could maybe even build a new log flume, that could maybe go where the rapids are and yes so glad they’re finally looking at getting a new hotel, we will definitely be staying there when they do
I’d like to see a hotel themed to the cancelled hotel, but instead the new hotel could have been themed to have overtaken the scrapped one , with either water, horror or another theme
I think it was on the off the tracks podcast with digital Dan where the host said that the Thorpe park hotel isn’t going to happen and his source at the park said the plans have been around for years
@@AirtimeRushthe only thing that makes me think they won’t build one is the fact they made a point of removing resort from the name, maybe they only plan on investing in the park for the moment
I don't really see them adding more family rides, mainly because thorpe is marketed as the UK's most thrilling park, and with both Chessington and Legoland just down the road (which are both also owned by merlin) I don't feel that they'll focus too much on family rides.
@AirtimeRush I would love an RMC. Or a mack extreme spinning coaster like ride to happiness at Plopsaland De Panne. Also most of the other suggestions you made would be great, although I do like Colossus and wouldn't particularly want it removed (although new trains would do wonders as the ryanair level legroom is diabolical on my legs by the end of the ride)
Totally agree and i think they should keep it as big thrills, the UK have enough family parks. As someone that doesn't have children i love going to Thorpe as its aimed more at adults. Id love to see a MAC Ride to Happiness version & an RMC. As for water rides, the UK don't cope well with all weather so adding more water rides for me doesn't fit
@@AirtimeRushfun fact same with saw it’s a 1.4m instead of the 1.25m because of the horror theme but kids these days see way worse online then mankins and rusted metal traps 🤣
I think tidal wave getting a complete remake and being turned into a water coaster is a fantastic opportunity.
I think back of swarm island is perfect for an RMC but if not definitely a Mack extreme spinner
Makes perfect sense to put an RMC there! Yes great idea with the Mack extreme spinner, that could work well where the rapids are
Thorpe also need to sort the car park out! It’s absolute hell trying to get out of there
I'd love to see another Mack coaster, either an Extreme Spinning Coaster or a Striker
Yeah Mack coasters are incredible at the moment and with the success of Hyperia I can see them working with them again soon
I agree with collossus, I had concussion off my last ride. If they can’t get new trains then it should be binned
100%, big bit of land there too. What coaster would you put in its place?
U gotta keep ur head forward and u won’t bang ur head
RMC will be perfect for Thorpe, it’s all they’re really missing from the lineup
It’s honestly screaming out for an RMC

Definitely 👍
I would love to see an RMC coaster at thrope Park
It would be amazing, could easily be the best coaster in the UK

Fantastic ideas there’s, I agree with a lot of them, especially the dark rides, UK needs more dark rides!
@@AirtimeRush Dance Macabre is absolutely brilliant and 108 guests each 4 minutes is just a people eater.

I enjoy Sik at Flamingo Land because that one has lap bars, I just hate the trains so much, yeah an RMC is the most likely option!
@AirtimeRush I've never been to Flamingo land but would like to go one day just to try out Sik as heard good things

I think a multi launch coaster would be good as there's not many if any and It could be similar to taron
Definitely agree with that!
1.4 metre at Walking Dead I believe is due to the 12+ rating for the theming.
Yeah that’s a shame, hopefully the IP ends soon
@@AirtimeRushfun fact same with saw it’s a 1.4m instead of the 1.25m because of the horror theme but kids these days see way worse online then mankins and rusted metal traps 🤣
I wouldn't mind seeing a wooden roller coaster and something like voltron at thrope Park
100% 💯
YAYAYAYAYA
the park needs more balance - a mid sized wooden coaster will bring this balance.
Agreed, a good family GCI woody would be perfect
