he's my definition of the perfect drummer. he can groove. his chops r awesome. he's musical and he actually listens to what's going on and plays perfectly. if ur new to drumming this guy is the proper way to approach the instrument and play to a song 😀
Kayne Daly He’s a fantastic player,,,-- I wish they’d move away from covers or this kind of main stream pop sound that they seem to be going for,,,, It’s difficult because the vocalist is great so you want to use that voice BUT I’d like to see them just concentrate on instrumentals and composing,,, they have the talent.
Big facts my friend! Being an amzing drummer is not only having the skill, the talent and being able to execute intricate difficult fills, licks adn grooves. But perhaps the most important skill is knowing when, and what fits the song. I think of many metal drummer who are very talented and skilled, but much it it ends up being "look at how fast I can play and how many strokes I can fit into a song". Being able to pull back and add the accents and ghost notes that compliment each part of the song is where the sweet spot is. Aron and all the guys in the loops are absolute masters at this, which is why someone whos never held an instrument can listen to their music and be in love with the melody and the groove of their music, while anyone whos spent any amount of time learning an instrument immediatly appreciates the shear talent of these guys.
Many moons ago, I was in a studio with Aron, his father and his brothers laying down some bass tracks. Aron showcased his Porcaro feel by playing a loop for a tune for 5 minutes straight. After I laid down my parts, I had a break. Came back to the studio room and someone is shredding the most inside-out shit of a drum solo I ever heard. Of course it was Aron going off. Afterwards I told him he should play it live. “No” he Said with a bit grin. ”Can’t do that, you know”. Guess what? He can. What a great player. And you should hear him play rock....
I LOVE DIRTY LOOPS. All great musicians, with the exception of Buddy Rich, are ever so humble and that's what these three are. Like all great musicians they do their talking on the stage. I truly hope they stay together like TOWER OF POWER (54 years and counting). Leo de los Reyes Musician Fan & Subby California, USA
These guys are amazing-every time I listen to them, I just love their sound and the way they play. What a group!!! And these guys are very humble-I love that too.
I remember when I saw their first youtube videos when they first released them and thought, damn that drummer is amazing. But then all these guys are great, their album is really fantastic, wish them a long and productive career.
Dirty Loops is a Supergroup that has friendship at its core - and it has already survived one record label deal that maybe wasn't the right fit, and released a new EP, so I expect to see much more from them.
Sweden speaking. I love Dirty Loops and everything they have done. They are great musicians with individual skill and great coherence between them. They are amazingly skilled and they are the ones in focus. Just so great. Really looking forward to a possible next album as I really liked Loopified.
This was 7 years ago and wow how far they've. Still THE most underrated group that I'm aware of, but their stuff with Cory Wong was out of this world good. I can't wait to see whats next for these guys.
As (primarily) a drummer and bassist, it would be an absolute dream come true, to be able to jam with myself on drums with Henrik. I would absolutely love that.
Zach Relles Rely is the wrong word. Drummers that are as good as this guy don't use double pedals because they lack speed, they use them to achieve a sound that they otherwise can't. Even some of the best drummers have said that it's very difficult to use a double pedal.
You dont really need double kick pedal if you play for fusion jazz genre. They can slide the pedal so it's sounds double, but not constantly 16th.just in some part of the piece.
2.37 So theres playback on some of Jonahs singing Live? That´s disappointing. But he is a studiosinger after all. MJ had playback too. (But he was dancing ALOT too)
Their weakness is in their lyrics. Poetically they are way below their musical level. BUT I remember Mozart's operas have the same problem... I gladly endure the lyrics to enjoy their mastery.
@@juancrespo8140 Yes. But you also have to consider that its purposefully written like that most likely resemble current pop music. After all they started out making fusion out of cheesy pop songs with terrible lyrics and that's what they got known for.
@@juancrespo8140 YES!! These guys are really monsters and I think maybe it's worth now to start digging some brazilian music & lyrics: the deepest and richest in the world. That would be a top-notch combination, fore sure...
Not sure why all the porcaro comparisons.. dude never passes up an opportunity to play a wanky fast fill.. jeff never did this and always played -or didn’t play- the perfect fills. Mind you, awesome drummer, but I wish I didn’t know how great his chops are because for me it sometimes ruins the great tunes they are playing.. but I guess that’s their thing
Monster drummer. Monster band.

Totally agree

YES!!! PM is a legeng himself and more than deserve this mention...

Humble perfect drummee
Dirty Loops, Jacob Collier, Snurky Puppy make me feel both good and a shit at the same time
Man. That crowd. I feel like it makes more sense for them to play in dance clubs.
Such a great Band!!!
The coolest part about this guy is he doesn't rely on a double kick pedal

Most plays the drum to the music. Aron plays the INSTRUMENT

I thought Mike Portnoy was the best drummer ever. Woohoo go Aron! This guy's has chops on top of chops

So you never heard the song Breakdown ?? Come on! Toto is a garage band after you've heard that song !!!!
the vocal style kinda ruins the magic the bass player and drummer are creating..
he should loosen up his cymbals
Очень переоцененный юноша, игра рваная, дёрганная, не внятная ...
Awesome!
