  • It's sort of hard to explain so just watch the video and tell me what you think..
Maple Ridge, BC is located about an hour east of Vancouver, BC Canada and a town i'm fairly familiar with. After starting the morning baking muffins we headed east into Maple Ridge. Our first stop was of course Golden Ears Provincial Park. Golden Ears is definitely the most visited stop for any tourist visiting Maple Ridge but having not been here in such a long time it was time for us to go back.
Our first stop in Golden Ears Provincial Park was Alouette Lake. Always stunning and I forgot how beautiful it was here. I'll let you watch the rest of the video to find out what happens next.

As someone who grew up in Maple Ridge there are some better spots than Golden Ears which is annoyingly busy. Cliff Park in East Maple Ridge I think is best, though parking can be difficult (the lot is small). There are also Rolley and Hayward Lake though they can get quite busy too...Still not Golden Ears level mania.

@@youtubebydoug Cliff Park as I wrote above is great for a little walk and photo op. As far as eateries we don't have a ton that aren't chains. The best food by far is Big Daddy's Pizza. Not really an "eat in" place but excellent if you want a pizza to go. They smoke all their own meat and the toppings are fantastic. I'd recommend the Double Double or Rajin Cajun for something unique but addictive.
