Hi, the Anion resin, needs to be activated before the use?

How do I fill 3.6 bottles with regenerated resin.

The cations are already positively charged ions, so how do they attract positive ions (Ca, Mg etc.)? or Anions are negatively charged ions, so how are negative ions attracted to anion resin? Please reply, thanks

Cation resins are negatively charged and not positively charged Please.

The cation resin beads have a fixed negative charge. They attract cations with a positive charge. The H+ is loosely held on the exchange site and will be released when a cation comes along and takes its place.

If the Anions resins are saturated and the Cations beads are still releasing H+ can it happen that the water pH will drop ?

What do you use to regenerate the resin?

HCl and Caustic solution are run one by one, doing flushing before and after running each solution.

Can be done with saltwater brine

No need salt to regenerate ?

Apparently 10% Brine can be used for partial regeneration with washing etc. 80C. But ammonium bicarbonate can fully regenerate it with washing at 60C etc.

If you are using the cation resin for water softening then you regenerate with brine. If it’s for a deionized water application then you use HCl

While ion exchange can theoretically be used to treat water with any level of TDS, excessive maintenance requirements and short service cycles become limiting factors. In short, the higher the TDS, the less practical ion exchange becomes and you would need pre-treatment in place to help reduce TDS before the ion exchange beds.

usually between 7000-10000 ppm as TDS
