There's something crushing about this song in conjunction with Binah's speech about the state of the world outside the facility. You really get the sense that the world of LobCorp, for all its advanced tech and human evolution, is a fundamentally broken society. What we gained in technological advancement, we lost in basic human fundamentals like kindness and charity. Even if this is a world where someone like Binah can thrive, she doesn't like it at all.
And that is something too many people fail to notice, including me. While, yes, Binah trolls everyone with despair, she often talks about how she wishes to be defeated by someone good (such as the manager on the path to the seed of light), with *their own way.*
I love how binah’s songs, Both this one and the one that plays during her suppression, have a hint of desperation but hopefulness, like knowing that there’s gotta be something worth all the pain and suffering at the end, but maybe there isn’t, reflecting sadness by the end of the song
@@Nepsol im happy that you made the playlist to be honest. Thank you! EDIT:I actually played this game for like 650 hours and i noticed that the soundtrack is awesome.
And thus, the cycle which the Head tried to stop... Began. And so it would again. Even an Arbiter can die. Even a Claw can be foiled. Even the Beholder can be blinded. ...Perhaps the city will fall. Not today. Not tomorrow. And certainly not because of a thinking machine. But nothing is forever.
this is why the city is one of my favorite settings. as grimdark and terrifying as everything is, there's always a bit of hope. even under the suffocating rule of the wings and the head, people still find ways to remain human.

This song, is awesome.
Definitely one of my personal favorites. It's also the reason I made the playlist in the first place since I didn't manage to find it anywhere.

@@Nepsol that playlist is so good , thanks for making it.
I agree this whole game is underrated. it has an amazing soundtrack.
this opening note with the violin is reminiscent of the moment when the Arbitr meets Chesed, which makes me feel a strange sensation
It IS that note. This song plays during that cutscene.
And thus, the cycle which the Head tried to stop... Began.

では、頭を打ち倒したところで苦痛にまみれた世界は変わるのだろうか?
...苦痛は形を変え、泰然としてあり続けるのだろうな。歴史と我々1人1人の生がこれを証明しているから。
Was that an apocalypse bird reference?
i think about this comment a lot...
Plays during Gebura cutscene 5, Chesed cutscene 5, and Binah cutscene 5. 👍
Where there is light there will be darkness, likewise where there is darkness there will be light and sometimes you just have to find that light.
No, it's not darkness, it's shadows.

**song starts** Sad
Why does "An Arbiter" look like a character that wouldn't look out of place in Darkest Dungeon, anyway?
