One way you can tell someone really knows their stuff is that they make the complex 'simple'. Great skill shown here and so helpful for someone like me who's still finding their way around this world. Thanks, Brett, great job and really appreciated, mate.
Excellent Tutorial for a newcomer. I needed a step by step installation of the NISI filters on a camera. Thanks for a good sober instructional video presentation for a beginner.
I literally just received my Nisi Filter kit and decided to watch this video before playing with it. It was a very wise choice. Excellent, very informative video. It could not have been more clear. Thank you.
What an excellent explanation of how to use this filter system. Very clear and easy to understand. I watched a few others and was none the wiser. I now understand how it all works and how to use the filters to best effect. Well done and thanks.
great tutorial but after adjusting your grad filter and adjusting your horizon you put in your 10 stop filter and mess up your alignment - it´s clear to see that the filterholder is rotating when you push in the 10 stop filter - great image by the way
Great video! Really appreciate the time you take to explain the little details - I've watched other videos before I found this one and it is by far the best. All falling into place for me now! :)
I have enjoyed your video which has helped me understand filters. I am still learning but shopping for these products is mind-blowing! Can you list the products featured?
Alan thanks mate, covering the eye piece is not that criticial unless its direct light going in , on this day it was early morning soft light & over cast
Great demonstration Brett... I'm real close to making the plunge on the NiSi V5 - Pro kit... One question, was the rear viewfinder closed before taking the exposure or did you drop a cloth over it beforehand? The final image was stunning. Bill...
William Farr no I didn’t cover the rear view finder as there was very soft light that morning & no direct light near the view finder , it is definitely a wise idea to cover it though , I usually just use a piece of black tape. If you’d like to order the V5 Pro kit , drop me an email - brett@brettwoodphotos.com & I’ll help you out with a good deal. Thanks Brett
Or if you have a Canon, there is a little rubber cover threaded onto the standard neck strap! As I don’t use the standard strap, I just tied mine to my cable release with some thick mono fishing line...
hi dear, i have sigma 85mm f1.4 art lens. it's 86mm filter size. how i find nisi or other 86 mm adpter rings for 100mm holder ?. if have 86 mm adapter ring please send me a link. thanks
Hello from Manila, Sir Brett thank you for making this informative video. If I were to buy only 1 GND, what would be the best all around GND? the 0.9 3 stop soft or the 1.2 4 stop soft like the one you are using in the video? Thank you sir and more power to you channel.
Thank you for the video, very informative and I learnt a lot. Just wondering what the app was that you used to worked out the exposure for the 10 stop filter?
Rita Aitken. LEE filters are good, but NISI are much better to reduce the Color Cast. Using LEE app is not recommended with NISI, 1.45 stop is different. it makes noticeable differences in some situations. better to use NISI app.
Hello Brett; I have a question for NISI landscape CPL. I have other brand CPL, it is made by two pieces glasses in one CPL. So if I spin CPL, I can see CPL changes darker to lighter. But NISI CPL looks only made by single glass. I spin it in V5 holder it look nothing change. I just can't understand how NISI CPL works. Thanks if you can answer me.
hi .. I have NISI 150 System, i use it with Tamron 15-30 F2.8 Lens. but I have other Lenses of 82mm, 77mm and 72mm filter size, is there any adapter so I can use my NISI filters with it ? frankly I have more than 10 filters to use. thanks

Great educational video. You know your job .
That was a very well presented video in simple terms and it works extremely well.Ray Kirkland
Thanks Ray
Good video !
One querry - When you put 10-stop ND on the lens, AF would not probably work. You may have to go for manual focus. When do you do that ?
always manually focus first.
great video, very helpful,I use Lee system but this gives me a routine to work with,thanks.....
thank you for this greath tutorial . verry helpfull. greetings from the netherlands

You're welcome mate
Which kit was this mate?? So many to choose from but this seems like it may have been the starter kit??
Can you tell me what app you use to calculate the shutter speed? Thanks very much
Great video. I'm suprized the photo turned out okay as you forgot to cover the viewfinder against straying light.
Alan thanks mate, covering the eye piece is not that criticial unless its direct light going in , on this day it was early morning soft light & over cast
I stand corrected.. Very enjoyable video anyway
for the record, it's main the metering tha'ts affected by not covering the eyepiece. the mirror blocks out any light coming from that entrance.
Excellent video.
Great video...very informative and explanations easy to understand.
Colin thankyou mate, glad you enjoyed it
yeah, very beautiful informative video .. thanks Brett for sharing ..
you're welcome mate

the night filter is very effective Colin :-)
Cheers...might have to invest.
This video is equal parts helpful & depressing. Perfectly monotone voice.
If you don't like it, don't watch it. You have choices.
Great informative video thanks
