I spent the money and bought a Honda HSS1332A 2 weeks ago. Had to drive 5 hours to Edmonton to go get it as no one had any in Saskatchewan and Honda dealership wasn't able to get any till next summer. I bought a Honda HRC216 lawn mower at the same time and saved $2,000 CAD. Was still ~$8,000. Honda is axing their gas lawn mowers, going all electric. I needed a new snow blower and we through out our old lawn mower moving, have Milwaukee cordless trimmer, blower and power broom, but not going electric on a snowblower... even being a dual ticketed tradesman 35 years in the trades having plenty of cordless tools. So I pulled the pin. Both machines are monsters in their own environment. I love my HSS1332A, It's an absolute beast. Moves snow and asks for more! Can't wait till spring to start using my lawn mower. It's the best of the best Honda has produced for yard equipment. Oil changes regularly, light greasing or sharpening of a blade. I'm never going to have to look at buying another piece of yard equipment in my lifetime. Absolute joy to use coming from a 30" Poulan 254cc OHV snow blower, which was no slouch either, but the HSS1332A is just built so much better and way more fun. 😊
I own one of these ( battery and auto shear INTERLOCK brake ....) THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: excellent quality in every place except two flaws. One is FIXABLE the other FATAL, until Honda wakes up: The light is under powered ( I added : quick charge pig tail, two low draw LED lights and paddle switches and heated grips and a voltmeter. The machine is great except if you are MEDIUM TO TALL you will really think twice about buying this. It is fatal flaw and will cause back fatigue and pain. The reason is the machine pivots in its axis to raise the auger chute (by depressing the auger hight thumb paddle) the handle bars drop or pivot downwards in a commensurate amount... thus every time your need to raise the auger ( deep snow, steering, gravel drive ways, turning you lower the bars and cause any person to hunch over DEEPLY. I don't mean a little. Had I know this I would NOT have spent $3000 on a painful snow blower. Beware tall men or women! Expect more from you HONDA. VERMONT USER
Got the new HSS1332 atd great machine except for the new designed shoot with a collar now. This new shoot designed to keep out wet snow from motors that turn the shoot actually clogs badly in heavy wet snow. If you live in a area that gets heavy wet slush snow you will need to cut out and modify this machine. Have fun!
This or the Ariens in the same price range?

You can also finance with Honda Finance if you have to, something unavailable for most other yardcare machine purchases.

Looking at the Honda HSS928ATD or the comparable Ariens in the same size and price range. Any thoughts?
Can you roll/push this machine without it running?
Yes, pull the steer levers in
yes you can but not easy you have to pull both clutches
