I like the answer Shouji finds in this episode As Dabi said, ``the past cannot be erased'' (although it is a painful and painful story), and because of that, if we become too obsessed with revenge, the children that will be born in the future with characteristics similar to them will be They are born with even more prejudice than they do.
9:08 it’s maybe change to LooL due to copyright reason. In the manga Shigaraki says to spinner he play LoL which ofc represent to the real game League of Legend and we can say he use it as inspiration for naming his gang “League of villain”
This was my favorite episode. I actually cried during this episode. I love it when media talk about discrimination in a tasteful way, not preaching propaganda but actually being nuance on the issue. This was a beautiful episode and as a minority really touched my heary ❤️🩹
So far this season is great .... The storytelling , developments and animations are good too . This episode handled the heteromorph conflict well by conveying a message to the ppl through understanding each of them ❤ really glad everyone got the feels while watching this 😂
Amazing episode. I swear I’ve been thinking all week how Shoji is the character that’s gotten the least amount of time to shine. Had 0 clue this episode was coming. My hero stay delivering.
Heteromorphs rise up. While it hasn’t been at the forefront exactly, there have been a lot of instances of heteromorph prejudice that we’ve seen before this. Sometimes not even intentionally. Shoto Todoroki called the chief of police a “mutt,” and a member of Class 1-B saying that octopuses creeped her out to Shoji’s face. And then of course there’s the Creature Rejection Cult from last season. It’s a genuine problem that some people, heroes included, can gloss over at times. That leads us to here. Two different perspectives. Should heteromorphs tear down the corrupt system that enabled this kind of prejudice? Or should they prove the prejudice people wrong by becoming a part of that system? Either way, it’s hard to say whether or not that grudge will ever truly disappear. Biggest regret here though? Accepting those quirks from All for One. By manipulating the emotions of those who were wronged by society, he’s using their cause to further his own agenda. And now, the only person who could possibly understand what was going on, can barely speak properly. Ultimately, this cause was part of a bigger picture that speaks to the corruption of hero society, and changing the world for the better. So yeah, heteromorph rights!
I still find it weird that Pony said that since she's also a Heteromorph and also I think that was the point that it's not brought up until later since stuff like this often stays in darkness until it's dragged into the light by victims of that persecution.
@@adambump5297heteromorphs that grew up in rural area/villages are treated differently... pony and koda were raised in the city so maybe they've never been insulted or discriminated for their appearance before....
@@adambump5297 Well, it's a little different for some. Keep in mind that a lot of the heteromorphs here have "nonhuman faces," so they definitely receive the brunt of a lot of the prejudice. Like, Hawks for example. He's a heteromorph, but he's also considered attractive to many. That's not to say that people like Ojiro (for example) have experienced discrimination, just that it's not the same kind of thing.
So many who are shunned, driven out and treated like monsters just for their looks... they never asked for this, it's a scar that runs so deep that this many heteromorphs were easily influenced to strike back. We the viewers are even guilty at times of calling out random heteromorphs for their looks... their feelings are justified now. But the longer this cycle of hatred continues, the more miserable future generations will be. I'm with you guys! Heteromorph rights!
Having to hide your true appearance to avoid scaring people is an unfortunate reality. Truth be told, I think both ways of rising up against oppression and prejudice have their merits. But I guess that’s the hardest choice for a lot of people. Truth be told, I feel really bad for Spinner. While he may not have wanted to be the face of this cause, he definitely cared on some level. But that care he had was physically warped into whatever he is now by All for One. On one hand, I would want to support a movement like this, because truth be told, a lot of people, whether intentionally or not, *have* hurt heteromorphs, and society *has* enabled that kind of behavior. But on the other hand, I can’t say that attacking a hospital is really a great way to prove the point that heteromorphs deserve equal treatment. It’s sad to say, but if All for One loses, then many of these people would be thrown in prison and seen as nothing more than criminals to the public. Obviously, I don’t blame them for acting the way they are though. It’s not fair that they have to make the choice to be strong against unwarranted discrimination that was thrown against them. Nothing about any of this is fair. But I guess that’s my main point. How should we choose to rise up against an oppressive world? Time is one of the main things that will tell.
Additional (small) info for Gearshift for you, man. Deku punching so hard and fast in those sequence. So to show it, they used different colors to show how many punches he delivered for Shigaraki. A minor detail that's cool and worth to mention too. About this episode, finally this episode came out and Bones gave justice to it. All of scene for Shoji is great and captures his well being who's being a hero despite of experiencing a discrimination in a degree of him almost lost his life. Also, him hiding his scars is a good one too. He's also a pure of heart that wants to be a hero to help others, he hides his scars because he doesn't want to make other people think that he wants to become a hero to avenging himself for what people did to him in the past. Overall, this episode is also a 10/10 for me. Edit: some of Shoji's scars came from his discriminators but, as far as I know, the one in his mouth came from when he saved that drowning girl earlier. Also, that sexy lady bunny that Deku saved in his Dark Vigilante Arc is named Ippan Josei by Horikoshi-sensei.
All the haters, oh this came outta no where, CRY MORE shoji is him. This a great moment and huge undertone of show. ONE LOVE. Afo saying, youll LOOK the part. Is so fn hard sheesh thats a bar, so impactful so relevant, his way of twisting is deep, goated villain
Btw at 9:08 when shigaraki says "lool?" Its a reference to league of legends you probably know of that game its pretty popular lol. Ik this cus in the manga at the buttom it says "league of legends" and shigaraki straight up says "lol?" Not "lool" imo a really funny reference to a game ngl 🤣
Dont know why they censored Shojis scars, they are about the same size but way harder to see, in the manga thei are very easily visible and just look worse
As nice as it would be if Shoji's pretty words would change the world for those "on the outside looking in"...you can't erase this much hatred that easily
@@MichaelAngeloMAN its an old school horror-thriller and probably where some people get the fear for crows attacking ur face to put it simply without spoiling anything.
weird fact I learned yesterday, the BNH fandom has named that girl as "Ordinary woman" as she doesn't have a canon name. You'd think of something more creative but nope, she's a green fox and it's "oh that's Ordinary woman over there." lmao
That's actually the "name" Horikoshi gave her on some bonus sketches and commentary from the volume she's introduced in. She's called "Ippan Josei" to denote she's just a background character. Horikoshi also called her the cutest character I'm MHA 😂

Wow so many sayin this was there favorite episode. I barely paid attention to this one. Was very bored and let down. Now we have to do it all over again next week for the conclusion. Very unfortunate in my opinion

also in the manga shiggy was playing with a pc next to spinner and in the anime they changed it with a gaming phone
Koda also deserves respect for finally getting angry

I had no clue Shoji was even this strong. He was always my favorite character before I truly knew anything about him so seeing this made me so happy
season 5:ehem
That animation with the punch was insane, top tier sound too
This episode right here! Seeing Shoji's backstory and getting screentime. Insane 😮
I can't remember the last time I cried but this episode had me shed a few.
I feel like this episode really Showed off the Dark side of Hero Society when came to Discrimination against People With Mutant Quirks (Ala The X Men)
I'm soooo happy Shoji finally got his chance to truly shine and show what he can do
At this point My Hero Academia should be called "My Peak Academia" in you intro bro
