The main inspiration from this song came from a dumb riff pattern I messed around with years ago but wasn't really good enough to play it properly and keep it consistent.
I also asked my very talented friend Loam to solo over the 10/8 section and he absolutely killed it. (who just so happens to be releasing a music video today!

Especially the cleans indeed. The screaming is so beastly and I love the layers but oh my the cleans are moving. Beautiful. The juxtaposition of the two usually feels hollow and I’ve always generally disliked it in metal except for a couple bands but KMac. You do it right.
