    I've opened quite a few of these in my line of work and thought I already understood how it works... But, the way you have explained exactly how and where refrigerant flows within it is completely on another level! Very detailed and these cut outs are really awesome teaching aids! Thank you once again!

    On many types, you can put your magnet down near the valve on the plunger shaft, feel it catch the plunger then drag it back to the end of the shaft, where it will be held open. Not a elegant as having the 5 or 6 ring magnets like are in those tools, but in a pinch you can operate many a solenoid valve with a rare earth bar magnet.

    Rember the word PILOT valve fellas, not all valves have a hole where the pressure on one side can help open (or close) the valve. Pilot valves are also used a lot in hydraulics too. Look for the holes and gunk or foreign material clogging the hole causing the valve to not work correctly. Also, many valves have rebuild kits available so you can easily repair them without changing them out.

    What sents the signal to open or close the valve ?

      I will cover that in electrical. It can be a thermostat, relay timer or anything else.

    what's the purpose of the valve??

    • @love2hvac
      @love2hvac  Год назад

      Mostly used To prevent refrigerant migration during the off cycle for automatic pump down.
      But there are many other uses to control refrigerant flow.

      @@love2hvac no problem, it happens often when editing. i always recommend using headphones to notice audio issues before exporting. if you find videos where the music is louder then the voice it also means they used crappy speakers and not decent (flat) headphones. if you are in the market or looking for a affordable one i recommend the ATH-M50X. its cheap (in comparison) and provides exxelent quality and is very flat/neutral.

      Thank you, I will see about ordering them. I use my Bose head phone and they compensate automatically.
      I try to play it on the computer speakers but I upload and edit at the library so I gota be quiet.
