I ordered this on the weekend after seeing your video. I do appreciate these unboxing videos , as it gives you a better perspective of what it looks like imo . I’d prefer Anthems new pre pro , but it’s hard to justify a separate amp and pre pro to run a two pairs of stereo channels in my basement gym . Sure looking forward to it arriving

Hi Mr. Tech, Sorry it for a late response. The AVM70 is built extremely nice. It is a output is sharper and clearer on ALL channels. The ARC Genesis is so much better then The Marantz 7705. It so preceded when hear the objects moving Around it’s channels. The Avengers Endgame Battle scene was totally a joy 🤩 to watch. Especially when Thanos tossed his saber. The movement through the channels was crazy 😜. I watched the IMAX Enhanced version on The Apple TV. Also, The entire Movie of The Incredible Hulk (Ed Norton) in DTS.X (from start to finish) was captivating. So “YES” I’m having funny with it. I did get a help from, Kspaceguy, Spec Tech, Cinephile and Home Theater Guru just got his. Yeah…A welcome addition. But Congrats 🎉🎊 on your RUclips content. Thanks a million again 👊🏽😉👊🏽
Damn! I was hoping you’d go for another Denon/Marantz product to show how to fully optimize Audyssey and bass management!! The Anthem line is looking real nice though. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!
I have my Marantz AV7704 back in now. Realistically, I probably won't be upgrading to the Anthem for a couple months. Maybe Jan/Feb possibly of 2022. So in the meantime, I could make some Marantz videos and Audyssey calibration content. This MRX receiver belongs to a friend of mine. He let me borrow it to make a couple videos with it. It's really slick though. We set it up in his room this past weekend.
@@Techthusiasm Quick question,I am between trying to decide the new Marantz Cinema 60 and the Anthem 540. In several owner reviews they mention the fan on the Anthem is so loud and intrusive it is cause for returning the unit. What is you buddy's experience thus far having lived with the 540 for some time now? Any and all insights would be aprreciated...Thanks!
love your channel! Quick question - why are you thinking about going with the AVM70 instead of monolith's HTP1? I am between those two and just wanted to know if you had any thoughts
I’m really drawn to the Anthem line. I like the setup, config, UI, and ARC. Reputation is very good. They are confirmed to get HDMI 2.1 upgrades too. I think I’m going Parasound on my amps too. Monolith stuff looks good though.
Hey, I really like the Tech content on your channel and the way you present and explain things comprehensive and thoroughly! I am looking for my first av receiver and I was just wondering if there is a sound difference between the 740 and 540? Besides the feature difference?
I wouldn't think you'd detect any sonic difference in those units, so yes, I would buy based on features. Both are awesome units, just depends on what you need for channels and processing. I can put you in touch with my contact at Audio Advice to buy if you like. Message me at techthusiasm_jp@outlook.com or click through here. bit.ly/TM_AA_Anthem Enjoy! My friend continues to love his 540.
@@Techthusiasm Thank you for your answer👍. I am not from the US and based in Europe. Here we have less options for receivers and processors. We don’t even have the new Sony receivers. I am torn between Anthem that is now offered close to me or a Yamaha.
Hey, can the feet be dissabmbled? I need to know the height of the receiver as I want to put it in my tv shelf.. even on the anthem site it only tells the height without the feet.
The 540 has 5 amps inside but processes up to 7 channels. So, you can get a 5.2.2 system out of it, but you'd need a 2-channel external amp to run your L/R mains.
The 740 has the strongest amp section, zone2, and a few other features over the 540. If it were me I’d try for the 740. But if it’s a big stretch and you don’t need the zone2 and such then 540 and you’re set.
Thank you for your answer. I don't need zone2, just my 5.1, i'm just wondering if the 540 has enough power for that. Just one thing, I saw the 740 has amp matrixing (the 540 doesn't have), does it mean that I could set the power of the 2 channels i'll not use to my front Aria 926 ?
Can’t believe I Anthem made this junk. They are done after this. Nothing but problems and I don’t feel the sound it’s on par with their previous model. It’s too bad 🤦🏻♂️
It's been kind of a "RUclips thing" to do, but I agree. I stopped doing them along the way. When I get new gear, I'm trying to to set up videos as more like "first look", then "first impressions", then a more formal "review". I think that's more useful than unboxing.

I have the AVM70 and it’s wonderful!!! I had the Marantz 7705 and I traded. My configuration is 9.4.6. I truly enjoy the it’s processing.
I'm jealous... :) What do you feel are the major differences between having the Marantz and how the Anthem?

Awesome. I can’t wait.
Looking forward to your AVM70 and JVC 8K laser projector unboxing and review.
We will see. 😄 Probably processor before projector.

My friend has never commented to me about any concerns with fan noise on his 540.

What are the dimensions of the product packaging? I'm going to buy it to carry in my suitcase and I would like this information
I can't find a spec for the box, sorry. Call my guys at Audio Advice to order one though, they'll get you hooked up!

I still recommend Anthem 100%.

I'll have to check next time I go to my friend's house. I should have asked them at Audio Advice Live, but forgot to do so.
no hight speaker options?

@@Techthusiasm thank you sir ..
These are sold out everywhere, where did you get yours?
It’s my friends. Bought at a local a/v store that actually had Anthem stock.
Hi can you have 4 atmos ceiling speakers with this amp/receiver??
The 540 can only process 7 speakers (and amplify 5). You'd want to step up a model to the 740.
Hi, is it enough to drive Focal Aria 926 ? (+ cc900 + 2 dome) or should I go with the 740 model ?

The 740 does a few more things than the 540, yes.
I got the 540 and add an Audiophonics 3 Channels Purifi power amp for LCR, working great 😊

I've been happy with my Anthem stuff. The MRX in this video belongs to a friend and he's been pleased.
just curious, why do unboxing videos, there is nothing informative about what you are doing, is this what its come to.

Because there are people out there that enjoy these videos? Why bother with a useless comment if you can just watch something else?
