These passageways really add a lot to the city as they extend the public space to the buildings. I loved exploring them when I was in Prague. They are also quite common in my hometown of Leipzig but not in such variety and abundance.
Everyone sees Cerny's Horse in Lucerna, but if you go up those stairs there is a stained glass installation added by Vaclav Havel. He loved graffiti so he commissioned a stained glass window that looks like painted graffiti.
I will receive my 2nd vaccination on June 2nd. Then after a couple of weeks, I'll be ready to travel. Prague will be my first destination! I hope that borders will be open again soon. Thank you Janek and Honza for your fine videos!
I went to Prague with my boyfriend around Christmas time 2019 right before the pandemic and It was magical and still is magical to me I will never stop watching these videos hahah. I paused it so much just now to show my boyfriend like oh look we went there!! and I kept nodding or even verbal agreeing with Adam during the video, like I was there in person... the passages in Prague are true gems!!! great video :)
The best hidden (REALLY HIDDEN) gem of Prague has to be Joystick Bar close to Vaclavske Namesti, great bar with great people, a place where everyone's having fun. Hope to go back to Prague soon!
Janek and Adam, I am from Sydney, Australia. On my first European trip I went through Rome, Venice, Vienna and then Prague and I thought that these cities are a different and a very pleasant experience. It wasn't until I got to Prague I realised that a big part of the reason is that there was no, or little high rise construction which gives a claustrophobic feel and blocks sunshine (as in Sydney). This might not be immediately obvious to visitors but I know which I prefer. May you keep your charming historic buildings forever. I'll be back when international flight allows it. Cheers from the Polish Kangaroo. BTW the kangaroo at Prague Zoo needs warm gloves during cold weather. Can you knit gloves?.
They used to work for a big Czech company. They left it and went solo. Unfortunately they couldn't reach an agreement with the company that would allow them to keep the old videos up.
I used to dislike Wenceslas Square, but since I started working in one of the buildings, I slowly fell in love. It's a really interesting part of the city.
Adam Gebrian is really doing his best to stay positive in this video. He covered the Prague passageways in one of his videos, and there he was quite vocal about the shitty condition they're in nowadays. :)
I love photographing alleyways and tunnels, bridges and stairwells etc. Anything where there's light/dark contrast and linear shapes.Very cool. I've spotted some great photo opportunities in this video.
Love this and I need to explore more open doorways/passageways. Always scare it might be private property but when I do enter, the discoveries have been nice.
Znojmos Tunnels were very interesting, the Castle,a Jihomoravské (Südmährer/South Moravia) Museum and the Christmas Market and a cool view if you go up the hill and look down the Thaya.
Thanks for another great video. Certainly the next time I visit Prague, I will see it with new eyes. I will pay attention to the details that this video brings us, among others, that I have not seen in the previous 6 times that I have been in Prague
Janek,.Congratulations (I hope you read it). You both (Janek & Honza (+?)) are way much better in this Chapter of your Channel. btw: Thanks to Mr. Gebrian.
There's a paternoster lift at the Luerna passage. It was the one I visited as the City Hall was closed on that day. It's in a closed building though.I was lucky someone was leaving and let me in.
First time I was too amazed by the beauty what was seen out in the streets of Prague, next time I will definately look inside of buildings too. But I did intentionally searched that Metal Shop what was inside one of the houses you showed. It wasn't very inviting indeed to step in the darkness. :D Ended up walking all nearby streets too, just in case I missed it and my map has it wrong, before ended up again on the same spot and decided to enter that dark vortexy hallway at minute 2:48. 😄Now I know..Next time will be more brave to step into a bit odd looking dark places. haha
3:20 Very interesting. I have been many times in the restaurant next to it (really good and cheap food btw.) but never actually went in the passageway, first because it is dark and second because it always smelled of pee, very strongly. And this street had so many brothels so it was not really inviting for this kind of exploration.
"You might know this coffee place from our previous video" - Nope, denying all knowledge. Prove it ;) haha. Super excited to see all these new videos, with some detailing similar/same topics as those deleted videos you did.
Funny hanging out in the public space in the first building waiting for movie and why not pop into the Cannabis Pharmacy to pick up a snack before the show?
Honest guide is like a water, you just can’t live without it❤️
Yes💛💛💛
Well its love and care:)
Janek us the reason i started my acam busting channel ... i cannot qait to go to Prague and trade Ruples for Euros
What architects see: buliding from 1927
What cinemagoers see: a cinema
What Janek sees: EURONET
I'd honestly love to attend a lecture by Adam, he seems very knowledgeable and also like someone who could teach architecture in an interesting way!
There are videos of his lectures in CAMP on RUclips but unfortunatelly only in Czech
I love Adam. He is amazing and I can listen to his voice for hours. There are lectures on youtube, I rember some of them in english
One example: ruclips.net/video/iWvU_WU3EDs/видео.html

I have been to Prague about 4/5 times and some of these places I have never seen, I will definitely check them out next time I'll visit.
Been there over 30 times and don't recall ever stepping foot in such places, good knowledge for a future visit!
Everyone sees Cerny's Horse in Lucerna, but if you go up those stairs there is a stained glass installation added by Vaclav Havel. He loved graffiti so he commissioned a stained glass window that looks like painted graffiti.
"There are no dead ends in Prague" is a great quote which I will use again
When I visited as an architecture student last year, I passed through a few of these spots unaware of the history. Very cool to see!
Prague is near the top of my list when international travel is a thing again. Thanks for sharing all of this great information.
I will receive my 2nd vaccination on June 2nd. Then after a couple of weeks, I'll be ready to travel. Prague will be my first destination! I hope that borders will be open again soon. Thank you Janek and Honza for your fine videos!

Adam should have his own RUclips channel!
I always look forward to rainy days in Prague because those are the days I explore the passages.

You never disappoint! Even if your old videos are gone I do enjoy the new content!!! Greetings from Pennsylvania, USA
What happened to the old videos?
I was wondering what happened to the old videos?? All their playlists and vids from more than 6 months or so are deleted.
They used to work for a big Czech company. They left it and went solo. Unfortunately they couldn't reach an agreement with the company that would allow them to keep the old videos up.
Your videos are really interesting and helpful, thanks for your effort you put into those!
Yes i aggre
The best guide in Prague!! 🤩
it will be a historical day when you two hit 1 million!!
I used to dislike Wenceslas Square, but since I started working in one of the buildings, I slowly fell in love. It's a really interesting part of the city.

Great episode. I love it when the focus is on Prague and its hidden gems.
Yay! Adam is back!
I've been to the «Kino Lucerna» (watching the «Last Christmas» film). I can't wait to return to marvellous Prague.
First time I went to Prague, I vaguely remember going to Lucerna for a dinner and then to an 80’s rock bar!
This was SO interesting!
your friend who doesnt act like your friend is back :)

Oohh. I have been to Prague 3 years ago. You should have posted the video 3 years ago
@4:53 golden words!!!!!!!!!!!! should learn each city...
Adam Gebrian is really doing his best to stay positive in this video. He covered the Prague passageways in one of his videos, and there he was quite vocal about the shitty condition they're in nowadays. :)

I love Prague.

STEPANSKA Passage is a marvel.
I love Brno! I know it' not about the video, but I just wanted to express my love to Brno
The moment I saw Prague explained by some architect, I knew it will be Adam G. :D I just knew that he is the kind of guy that would work with Janek.
Also Adam looks so slick and stylish.
Love this and I need to explore more open doorways/passageways. Always scare it might be private property but when I do enter, the discoveries have been nice.
Finally second episode with Adam!
This was surprisingly entertaining. Would love to see more with Adam. Its like we're all levelling up with are Prague knowledge.

I wish you lived in every country so you could have an honest guide for everywhere lol!
I've been in the Lucerna, but didn't realise there was a paternoster! - I'd have loved to use it.
Cool places. Thx ♥

Can’t believe you guys did do the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Hotel Bohemia!
Country's capital doesn't need a skyscarpers
Super nice
lol náš chleba se prodává už i v Praze (myslím tím chléb z Třebíče
The street in the packs is the largest hidden place in the whole of Prague 🚏 whoever enters it will never go crazy 😀

@honestguide Hi, can you do a video on 5 of the most common apartment building design in Prague please? Thanks!
I saw a canabis shop....see you in Prague
No
it's fake weed with no THC :-D
is there an equestrian episode with adam after this one?!
Did you forget the map link? I really hope that everything is back open in August
I just searched for the names in the videos and found them all. They are very close together by Wenceslas
0:39 who thought the lady was walking on that bench?
4:30 what is Andrej doing there?
Where's the formula 1 video? 👀 Haha good video tho! Prague is full of secrets really, I can't wait to go there once traveling is possible.
"You might know this coffee place from our previous video" - Nope, denying all knowledge. Prove it ;) haha. Super excited to see all these new videos, with some detailing similar/same topics as those deleted videos you did.

Do you know if there are any of these passage ways (Průchody) in České Budějovice?
Cannabis pharmacy. Intresting.
Walked through Lucerna many times didn't know that it was a piece of history
