I don't think she really thinks she was ugly, I think she just thinks some of her styling was weird or ugly. If you notice there's a few mvs where she says nothing negative about herself, she's styled pretty normally in those.

You girls had literally one of the best discography ever in K-Pop history. One of the few groups with actually good songs instead of album fillers, not just the title tracks. And despite always being too overlooked because of other groups with bigger fandoms or better promotional support, you should be proud, like the girls of Rainbow, of what you contributed to K-Pop: QUALITY.
You can tell she loved those members by how she reacted every time they were on screen. Some groups can't stand each other in there but she loved all the girls and its so evident
You can tell how bad a company is by how many employees choose to leave. Just look at how many lineup changes 9Muses went through. All these songs were great, why weren't they more successful?

@@kyeoptawerk93ah "graduations" are a cheap excuse for companies to keep milking off a group's brand despite key members leaving. sera leaving 9muses, kahi leaving afterschool... both of those things hurt the groups in question beyond repair. nobody in a "graduation group" leaves under good terms, the contrats might end but there's always a very good reason for them to not resign. and the "graduation" system just doesn't fit kpop. it's an attempt at j-pop's own graduation system, and it works and makes sense for j-pop groups like akb48, nogizaka46, etc. j-pop idols "graduate" because their time is up - fans knew they would leave eventually. they leave to have solo careers, go back to school, go back to normal life, and they're given a graduation ceremony with the fans and the other members. k-pop idols "graduate" randomly, nobody knows who's leaving and when, the idol happened to finally see a chance to free themselves from horrible management, and the fans are caught by surprise.

Hyemi will always be my number 1 bias in K-pop and when you said you were having a hard time watching this because of how young some of the members were during filming it made me cry a little. You are the sweetest and you definitely didn't deserve to be kicked out as leader. We love you Sera, Queen of Orbits!
True however in the Big three 2007-3/27/19 the closest equivalent for her is YG entertainment CL 2ne1. Vocal wise it would be JYP entertainment Yeeun or SM entertainment Taeyeon snsd

The MV at 20:00 the clothes also looks like SNSDs, they have some photos that looks like SNSD photos, maybe the company wanted like this to get famous and bc of that koreans hated them, bu after some years it changed! I love 9MUSES and love SNSD, they have differents vibes, It was the company fault in my opinian, and of course the koreans that hated them based on that! ps: english is not my first language, sorry!

When you left 9Muses Sera as a fan it broke my heart, when I first got into kpop 9Muses was the first group I fell for, every song you released became an instant favourite. You were one of the best leaders a group could ask for and it was clear that you really cared for all of the girls. I'm sure that all of the MINEs will agree that you did us proud. Taemin of SHINee debuted at 14, Krystal turned 15 one month AFTER f(x)'s debut, Seohyun and Yoona of SNSD were also 16 when they debuted, Minzy was 15 when 2NE1 came on the scene. Frankly, most of these groups did not have any provocative songs or choreographies, particularly SNSD. When they approached a more "mature" image, all of the members had already turned the legal age in Korea as well. But then, there is Minzy. In 2010, 2NE1 had their comeback with 'Can't Nobody'. In the MV, there is a scene of Minzy dressed in leather leggings and a leather corset-like top, in heels, walking and dancing down a hallway, a few particular seconds are also rather 'suggestive'. It would all seem fine until you realize that Minzy was 16 when they filmed that MV. Fans weren't pleased with that either, but it didn't even make headlines because people were quicker to brush things off then. Things are different now, underage debuts are more controversial now and when they happen, I personally feel like the group isn't given a concept similar to Nine Muses. Take Itzy as an example - 3 out of 5 members are underage in Korea, 1 of those 3 is also underage internationally. Their concepts aren't really 'mature'. Seeing someone debut at 14 or 15 nowadays is certainly much less common (if not even impossible) nowadays. And that's a good thing.
Nine Muses are and were one of the greatest girl groups in kpop history. With one of the best discographies in kpop history. They have been criminally underrated and IMHO badly mismanaged. If they had been supported and promoted better or from one of the big companies they would and should have been huge. I will always love and support you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🤗
There is only one reason that Nine Muses weren't more successful. Their height, age, and overall sophistication made them seem too old and inaccessible to be kids' fantasy girlfriends. Bottom line: they were too good for kpop.
Sera hasn't aged a day. She's really the most eye catching member for me. Stan-worthy not just for her looks, but for her monster vocals as well ❤️ sad that they disbanded. I wish they would've stayed longer but ofc bad management
After "Doll" and "Wild", i really thought you guys were going to hit it big... 9Muses had the best rapper lines in that era as well... I could never understand why Rainbow and 9Muses just couldn't make the next big step... they were both great!
I agree and had JYP brought them from Star Empire they would still be active right now. however at the cost of getting dislikes from Onces Twice Fans do not appreciate them. For them it's Jihyo > Sera.
Always remember that You and Hyemi are the best vocalists Nine Muses ever had. The 2011-2013 Lineup is irreplaceable - Lee Sem, Eunji and you, Sera. Nobody can ever replace your position from the group.

sera i know you have thousands of comments here already so you may not see mine but i want to let you know how much 9muses impacted me. i'm a korean expat in canada and for a while i didn't like kpop because i was embarrassed of it. 9muses was the first group way back in 2014 that i liked and has brought me to where i am today, a huge kpop fan with an appreciation for it and a better connection to the country overall. 9muses brought me closer to my history by connecting me with korean music. thank you to you and the other girls so much. 9muses will always be one of my favourite groups ever, with some of the best title songs i've ever heard.

You don’t understand how much 9muses impacted my life. You girls released the best music in kpop imo and should’ve been the biggest girl group in the world after releasing dolls (one of the best songs ever). Sera I loce you so much you were always my favorite member and after you left it wasn’t the same, however as a fan I know that you did the right thing. Love you and 9muses forever
I agree, it broke my heart when she said that the first mv was painful for her and the girls to film, but seeing the reason why, it makes sense. Now I’m never going to look at the mv the same. Their management should have done better.

We know that Nine Muses members were cast to consist of tall, attractive models that could sing, do choreography well, and be willing to put in the work. Limiting and finding such talent was obviously difficult when as models most had other career options. Because of this, being leader must have been as hard as herding (much loved) cats! Members continuing to leave the group after debut shows that. In addition, management appeared to be very difficult and not very understanding to work with. Sera, many if not most of your fans have probably seen the kpop documentary years ago on Nine Muses that included your experience as leader. The feeling of empathy and respect as I watched you do your very best there is one the reasons I follow you now with my utmost appreciation for your insight and compassion as you cover other kpop groups like Loona. Your talented performances in Nine Muses is of course the other reason. Thank you. We appreciate you very much.
언니 난 뉴스 때부터 티켓 돌스 와일드 건 글루 드라마 다쳐 잠은안오고 배는고프고 기억해 러브시티까지 나인뮤지스 덕질 하다가 리멤버에서 끝낸 마인이야 드라마 전에 언니랑 현주언니랑 은지언니 나가고 되게 속상했었는데 유튜브로라도 언니 근황을 알게 되니까 되게 기분 좋아지는 거 있지 2015년에서 벌써 4년이 지났고 그 시절을 떠올리며 뮤비 보고 있는 언니를 보니 내가 다 울컥해진다 그 때가 다시 돌아오진 않겠지만 홀로 서는 언니를 응원해 류세라 화이팅❤️
I'm responding to this video a little late because I just watched it, but I have to say that out of all the K-pop groups, 9Muses has the most originality and discography in their music videos. I'm really amazed by all of your efforts and the fact that you never gave up. We will always remember you guys, and Sera, this must have been so overwhelming for you, but it shows how strong you are and how everything you went through shaped you into who you are, and you were always an outstanding leader because of how much you cared about your group. I will always enjoy your songs because I recognize how hard you all worked for it, and it is genuinely fantastic.

I think the members of nine muses can hold their heads high due to their hard work and sacrifice. They all did a great job despite difficult circumstances. Unfortunately the whole industry is rife with abusive management, slave contracts and other issues such as crazed netizens. It's time for some big reforms in the KPOP industry. I feel so sorry for some of the talented performers who are no longer with us.

개인적으로 매우 안타까운 걸그룹....리얼 노래 안무 매력 하나 나무랄대가 없는 걸그룹이였는데...특히 보이스 컬러랑 킬링파트 렙이 쩔어줬지...특히 돌스 드라마 같은 경우는 보이스 렙 안무 뭐하나 부족한게 없는 노래..아무리 봐도 운때가 안맞았거나 소속사가 병신이였던듯..
소속사가 안좋았던거 맞음ㅋㅋ 세라 유투브니까 쎈 욕은 못하겠는데.. 스타제국이 쥬얼리때부터 언플은 전혀 못했었고 제국의아이들도 멤버들이 스스로 예능나가서 인지도랑 인기 높은거임 특히 임시완은 연기하는것도 스스로 알아보고 오디션 보고 그랬다던데 ㅋㅋㅋ 오죽하면 스타죄국이라고 불릴까 그랬는데 나뮤까지 보고나니까 진짜 스타죄국 맞음 스타성이 있는 인재는 잘 찾는데 소속사 개념의 케어를 전혀 안 함

대중의 인지도,인기이런거 상관없이 내가 좋다고 느낀 아이돌 명곡이 딱 세 곡 있어 하나는 브레이브걸스의 Rollin 나머지 두 곡은 나인뮤지스의 News와 Dolls. 작곡을 누가한지는 관심없지만 뉴스와 돌스는 정말 나인뮤지스에게 잘 어울리는 곡이였고 나에게 댄스곡도 명곡이 될수있다는걸 알려준 노래였어 이로 인해 나인뮤지스는 나에게있어 노래가 정말 좋은 아이돌 그룹이라는 인식이 생겼었지 내로라하는 유명한 아이돌 그룹 소녀시대,원더걸스,티아라 등등보다 내 삶의 활력소가 되어준 아이돌은 나인뮤지스였어 보고싶다 그때의 나인뮤지스
그리고 또 기억나는게, 그때 알바생이었는데... 티켓 노래 나올때. 어떤 손님이 계산 하고 나가시다가 돌아와서 물으시더라고요. 이 노래 누구 노래냐고... 물어본게 너무 기뻐서 나인뮤지스라고 알려줬던 기억이 또 새록새록 나네요... 명곡대파티여서 몇년동안 나뮤노래만 들어도 안질릴정도였는데 ㅋㅋ 나중엔 수록곡도 다 찾아서 듣고 (전 핑이라는 수록곡이 되게 기억에 남고 멜로디가 좋았었어요) 앨범 통째로 듣고 그랬었는데 그리워요
갠적으로 나뮤가 노래들이 다 넘 좋았죠 컨셉도확실하고. 휘가로를 시작으로 나뮤가 본격적으로 주목받앗다고 생각하고 갠적으론 와일드때 본격입덕했었던 경험이 있네요. 와일드때부터 음방보면 팬들이 응원떼창 되게 본격적이었던것같은데~ 곡마다 당시 활동했을때 느꼈던 감정이나 에피소드를 나눠주셨으면 더 재밌었을것같단생각을 해보네요~ 담에기회되면 그것도나눠주세요~

Nine Muses is one of the best girls groups out there and their songs are just such lit tunes. It's sad they didn't receive the recognition they deserved and their management didn't do a proper job taking care of the girls. They are so classy that they can make low budget videos look great. I can't express how much I miss seeing them performing, i started stanning since Wild because of their amazing vocals. Seeing them leaving one by one made me sad but I'm glad they are living their lives their own way with freedom. Thank you Sera for this video, Love you💕

Damn, I didn't know they went through all that during No Playboy. The company was in the wrong to sexualize the members, esp when they were so uncomfortable with it. Sera looked so miserable watching the MV. You can tell how much happier she was to review Figaro (which is my favorite 9 Muses song and the one that got me into them).
If you haven't seen the documentary about them, "9 Muses of Star Empire", I HIGHLY recommend it. You will see all the backstage things. It's so heartbreaking to watch but it'll make you understand what they went through.
This is honestly the cutest thing ever 💜 I'm a new K-POP fan, and I really love 9Muses. I watched the BBC documentary, so now I'm caught up in all the drama around this band. Sera does seem to be the soul of 9Muses, and it's sweet to see her watching their music videos and appreciating the performance, and singing along with. Those songs are such absolute bops!!!

You girls had literally one of the best discography ever in K-Pop history. One of the few groups with actually good songs instead of album fillers, not just the title tracks. And despite always being too overlooked because of other groups with bigger fandoms or better promotional support, you should be proud, like the girls of Rainbow, of what you contributed to K-Pop: QUALITY.

@@kyeoptawerk93ah "graduations" are a cheap excuse for companies to keep milking off a group's brand despite key members leaving. sera leaving 9muses, kahi leaving afterschool... both of those things hurt the groups in question beyond repair. nobody in a "graduation group" leaves under good terms, the contrats might end but there's always a very good reason for them to not resign. and the "graduation" system just doesn't fit kpop. it's an attempt at j-pop's own graduation system, and it works and makes sense for j-pop groups like akb48, nogizaka46, etc.
j-pop idols "graduate" because their time is up - fans knew they would leave eventually. they leave to have solo careers, go back to school, go back to normal life, and they're given a graduation ceremony with the fans and the other members. k-pop idols "graduate" randomly, nobody knows who's leaving and when, the idol happened to finally see a chance to free themselves from horrible management, and the fans are caught by surprise.

Hyemi will always be my number 1 bias in K-pop and when you said you were having a hard time watching this because of how young some of the members were during filming it made me cry a little. When you left 9Muses Sera as a fan it broke my heart, when I first got into kpop 9Muses was the first group I fell for, every song you released became an instant favourite.

Taemin of SHINee debuted at 14, Krystal turned 15 one month AFTER f(x)'s debut, Seohyun and Yoona of SNSD were also 16 when they debuted, Minzy was 15 when 2NE1 came on the scene. Frankly, most of these groups did not have any provocative songs or choreographies, particularly SNSD. When they approached a more "mature" image, all of the members had already turned the legal age in Korea as well. But then, there is Minzy. In 2010, 2NE1 had their comeback with 'Can't Nobody'. In the MV, there is a scene of Minzy dressed in leather leggings and a leather corset-like top, in heels, walking and dancing down a hallway, a few particular seconds are also rather 'suggestive'. It would all seem fine until you realize that Minzy was 16 when they filmed that MV. Fans weren't pleased with that either, but it didn't even make headlines because people were quicker to brush things off then. Things are different now, underage debuts are more controversial now and when they happen, I personally feel like the group isn't given a concept similar to Nine Muses. Take Itzy as an example - 3 out of 5 members are underage in Korea, 1 of those 3 is also underage internationally. Their concepts aren't really 'mature'. Seeing someone debut at 14 or 15 nowadays is certainly much less common (if not even impossible) nowadays. And that's a good thing.
Nine Muses are and were one of the greatest girl groups in kpop history. With one of the best discographies in kpop history. They have been criminally underrated and IMHO badly mismanaged. If they had been supported and promoted better or from one of the big companies they would and should have been huge. I will always love and support you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🤗

sera i know you have thousands of comments here already so you may not see mine but i want to let you know how much 9muses impacted me. i'm a korean expat in canada and for a while i didn't like kpop because i was embarrassed of it. 9muses was the first group way back in 2014 that i liked and has brought me to where i am today, a huge kpop fan with an appreciation for it and a better connection to the country overall. 9muses brought me closer to my history by connecting me with korean music. thank you to you and the other girls so much. 9muses will always be one of my favourite groups ever, with some of the best title songs i've ever heard.
By the way she's also from Canada Toronto area even though the more recent ones will just use Lia or Wendy.

You girls released the best music in kpop imo and should’ve been the biggest girl group in the world after releasing dolls (one of the best songs ever). We know that Nine Muses members were cast to consist of tall, attractive models that could sing, do choreography well, and be willing to put in the work. Limiting and finding such talent was obviously difficult when as models most had other career options. Because of this, being leader must have been as hard as herding (much loved) cats! Members continuing to leave the group after debut shows that. In addition, management appeared to be very difficult and not very understanding to work with.
Sera, many if not most of your fans have probably seen the kpop documentary years ago on Nine Muses that included your experience as leader. The feeling of empathy and respect as I watched you do your very best there is one the reasons I follow you now with my utmost appreciation for your insight and compassion as you cover other kpop groups like Loona. Your talented performances in Nine Muses is of course the other reason. Thank you. We appreciate you very much.

I'm responding to this video a little late because I just watched it, but I have to say that out of all the K-pop groups, 9Muses has the most originality and discography in their music videos. I'm really amazed by all of your efforts and the fact that you never gave up. We will always remember you guys, and Sera, this must have been so overwhelming for you, but it shows how strong you are and how everything you went through shaped you into who you are, and you were always an outstanding leader because of how much you cared about your group. I will always enjoy your songs because I recognize how hard you all worked for it, and it is genuinely fantastic.

I think the members of nine muses can hold their heads high due to their hard work and sacrifice. They all did a great job despite difficult circumstances. Unfortunately the whole industry is rife with abusive management, slave contracts and other issues such as crazed netizens. It's time for some big reforms in the KPOP industry. I feel so sorry for some of the talented performers who are no longer with us.

개인적으로 매우 안타까운 걸그룹....리얼 노래 안무 매력 하나 나무랄대가 없는 걸그룹이였는데...특히 보이스 컬러랑 킬링파트 렙이 쩔어줬지...특히 돌스 드라마 같은 경우는 보이스 렙 안무 뭐하나 부족한게 없는 노래..아무리 봐도 운때가 안맞았거나 소속사가 병신이였던듯..

그리고 또 기억나는게, 그때 알바생이었는데... 티켓 노래 나올때. 어떤 손님이 계산 하고 나가시다가 돌아와서 물으시더라고요. 이 노래 누구 노래냐고... 물어본게 너무 기뻐서 나인뮤지스라고 알려줬던 기억이 또 새록새록 나네요... 명곡대파티여서 몇년동안 나뮤노래만 들어도 안질릴정도였는데 ㅋㅋ 나중엔 수록곡도 다 찾아서 듣고 (전 핑이라는 수록곡이 되게 기억에 남고 멜로디가 좋았었어요) 앨범 통째로 듣고 그랬었는데 그리워요
갠적으로 나뮤가 노래들이 다 넘 좋았죠 컨셉도확실하고. 휘가로를 시작으로 나뮤가 본격적으로 주목받앗다고 생각하고 갠적으론 와일드때 본격입덕했었던 경험이 있네요. 와일드때부터 음방보면 팬들이 응원떼창 되게 본격적이었던것같은데~ 곡마다 당시 활동했을때 느꼈던 감정이나 에피소드를 나눠주셨으면 더 재밌었을것같단생각을 해보네요~ 담에기회되면 그것도나눠주세요~

Nine Muses is one of the best girls groups out there and their songs are just such lit tunes. It's sad they didn't receive the recognition they deserved and their management didn't do a proper job taking care of the girls. They are so classy that they can make low budget videos look great. I can't express how much I miss seeing them performing, i started stanning since Wild because of their amazing vocals. Seeing them leaving one by one made me sad but I'm glad they are living their lives their own way with freedom. Thank you Sera for this video, Love you💕

Damn, I didn't know they went through all that during No Playboy. The company was in the wrong to sexualize the members, esp when they were so uncomfortable with it. Sera looked so miserable watching the MV. You can tell how much happier she was to review Figaro (which is my favorite 9 Muses song and the one that got me into them).
If you haven't seen the documentary about them, "9 Muses of Star Empire", I HIGHLY recommend it. You will see all the backstage things. It's so heartbreaking to watch but it'll make you understand what they went through.

This is honestly the cutest thing ever 💜 I'm a new K-POP fan, and I really love 9Muses. I watched the BBC documentary, so now I'm caught up in all the drama around this band. Sera does seem to be the soul of 9Muses, and it's sweet to see her watching their music videos and appreciating the performance, and singing along with. Those songs are such absolute bops!!!
