- Sonic Movie 3 is right around the corner and with the film taking heavy inspiration from Sonic Adventure 2, the question has arisen of Amy and Rouge's inclusions in the upcoming film! They should've introduced Amy in the Knuckles show. That way it doesn't feel like she comes outta nowhere in Sonic 3 and don't need to spend time introducing her.
I don't want these movies to be a " boys club" with only the MALE sonic characters. We need a female presentation in this film series, and Amy and Rouge are the 2 most popular girls in the Sonic fandom. maybe at some point, we get Sally Acorn or Sticks the Badger, but not including Amy Rose and Rouge the Bat in a Sonic movie is a big mistake.
I haven't seen the video yet, but I fucking swear, if there isn't at least ONE female anthro in Sonic 3 then Sonic 3 will be an easy boycott for a lot of people. Even though Keanu being cast as Shadow makes me happy and is a casting dream come true for me (a dream cast if you will, pun intended), I will pay for a ticket for a better movie (whatever that movie might be) and then sneak into a theater room playing Sonic 3 because I refuse to support such a disappointingly low-effort creative decision with my hard-earned money. I'm anti-woke as fuck but I still think the movie would be empty without having at least ONE female anthro in it (whether that female anthro is Amy or not) and the reason I think this is NOT because those Sonic characters are female characters but because most (if not ALL) female Sonic characters are GOOD characters that just so happen to also be females.

In his perspective(POV) like many People who don't know what in The Sonic film after the first film, didn't see the Announcement like we do known already like until he and many others aren't around during the Game Awards until Paramount posted on RUclips and day later before Saw the film afterwards following I really assumed He eating up news about the Sequel between the first trailer 2021 and final trailer during March 2022 until he watched it himself along many others during April 2022 Released

It was missed potential to have the knuckles show introduce new sonic characters for sonic movie 3. They could made the focus of the show about rouge stealing the emerald or they could have even had a post credit scene in the show teasing amy. Sucks how missed potential it was

Technically I think you’re right as proven by Sonic X. But I think that speech is an important part of her character Not only as her history as it was the first time she really impacted the plot of a Sonic game other than being a character to save but it perfectly displays her personality. She’s optimistic and thinks the best of people and works to help people on a deeper level even if others don’t think they deserve it. It’s what she’s currently doing with Surge and Kit in IDW.
It’s sad because Amy’s other traits , That doesn’t matter to most people sadly becuase she’s only seen as either a boring woman or “crazy obsessed stalker”

People act like the Amy in Boom or Frontiers is a different characters but I've always seen them as an evolution, an Amy's whose grown up and changed but still held on to her empathy, compassion, and feminine interests. Let's not forget Tails wasn't always a super genius. Characters change and grow and that's why we love them.

You are now realising that Tails and Shadow never even met in SA:2. That being said, Rouge and Amy both play major roles in making Shadow who he is in this story. Knuckles and Tails don't even have a dialogue with him. I know they can't just drop Knuckles and Tails but, in terms of which characters should actually be in the story, it's funny that we've got it backwards.

You really tackled why I don't want Amy in the 3rd movie. "Well what about Shadow!?" Bro what about Amy, why must her introduction in the movie-verse be tied giving another character development, a male one at that. She needs her own movie introduction, where Metal Sonic is the main villian as well. She needs to stand alone and take that spotlight, something that won't be given properly if Shadow is there.

After seeing channel pups video on Amy being in sonic 3 I full heartedly believe Amy should be in the movie at the least. Rouge can definitely be in and I’d be happy, but Amy at least has to be in this movie

I think it could happen that Amy and Rouge would be in Sonic 3. This situation could likely be that Paramount is possibly keeping the inclusion of those female characters a big secret so that they can pleasantly surprise all the fans who very much want Amy and Rouge to be in that movie by making them show up in the 3 min full trailer that is possible to be released in July or August. The people at Paramount not saying anything about those female characters being in Sonic 3 is likely because they could just be simply trying to avoid spoiler issues for that movie.
Well it happened before for SonicMovie2 the hard way with both Super Sonic spoiled into the Public thanks by McDonald's advertising before the release of Sequel(2022) and the Post Credits on Twitter and maybe on RUclips

I really hope Amy is in Sonic 3 because I am writing a story that has the Sonic movie characters (minus the humans) and I hope that amy will appear because in my opinion the story won’t work out since it will take place years in the future.
Shadows story is a lot to swallow especially since this movie will be the first time many hear the story. Keeping the cast as is a good way to help stream line and make things easier to follow. Other characters should be introduced in following movies and shows

I really don’t want to wait for Sonic 4 or 5 to see rouge or Amy. We watch these movies for the Sonic characters so I hope they start to actually incorporate more Sonic characters to the movies otherwise it’ll start to feel like they’re doing the same thing over and over again.
They technically are incorporating more sonic characters with each movie.
Exactly which callback to what Writers Pat and Josh already hinted/Confirm that way back from Q&A interview 2022 was TRUE as long Sonic longtime fans demand more Sonic stuff related into Every Sonic movies/Shows/Series/Spinoff then Paramount would happily added each Sonic characters to introduce in every movie after the success of Sonic trilogy(1, 2, & soon upcoming 3) and recent solid Knuckles Series
Both of these set up to some kinda Avengers level style events and exploring new favorite elements, expect character studies with each Favorite Sonic character from the Games into media

I want Shadow The Hedgehogs character to be done correctly and he is going to need a lot of screen time for his backstory. If Amy and Rouge are in the movie it might take valuable time away from Shadow. This movie is not a 1 for 1 recreation of Sonic Adventure 2 so of course there will be differences. I do think it is likely we get atleast 1 and maybe both characters in the movie.

You do know that Shadow's backstory was told in a series of quick flashbacks in SA2, right? They don't need a ton of time.

I'm sorry, but I want *Amy Rose* and *Rouge The Bat* in this Sonic 3 movie.
I personally think it’s necessary to introduce some sonic characters to the movie verse especially since we’ll it’s a sonic movie plus The Super Mario movie shows you can introduce more characters while having a decent plot plus you atleast need one of them after all they don’t need that big of a character arc, not to mention there’s nothing really to add for sonics character past, so I feel like his character arc is already complete by the second movie so keeping him so sort of static Makes sense Plus you have to remember that this movie is longer than the actual game, so they have plenty of time to introduce side characters and also give them their own arcs also not to mention Amy has been apart of the main group
Probably shouldn't use the super Mario movie as an example when its plot is widely considered forgettable.
Let’s think about this logically: It’s clear that Paramount is trying to incorporate more of the Sonic lore and mythos into the films, as such we’re gonna see more iconic characters from the series.
With this in mind, I think it is most likely that Amy and Rouge are gonna appear in this film. Because since Paramount wants to bring in more of the characters and lore into the films, it would be more logical to introduce the two here vs elsewhere.
We should also consider that we didn’t know Knuckles was gonna be in the 2nd movie. Yes, he was teased before any of the trailers, but before that all we knew was that Tails was gonna be in it.
We know Shadow is gonna be in this film, but there’s a high possibility that other characters will be introduced but are being kept a secret to hype up the film. You also gotta remember that the producers truly do care for the fans and the source material even if there’s plenty of creative liberties. After all, they listened to the fans and gave Sonic a better design.
It’s most likely the producers will continue to cater to the fans and show care to them and the Sonic franchise. So yeah, the chances of Amy and Rouge being in this film are pretty high. Not certain, but I do have high hopes.
Ricardo, I can clearly tell that you haven’t watched channel pup’s latest video where he discussed on how paramount can incorporate amy & rouge into the film perfectly and also you shouldn’t be so doubtful on them being in it cause this isn’t the first time that something like this has happened
Back during the hype days for spider-man no way home, we all had no idea that tobey maguire & andrew garfield would be in it because they were kept as a massive secret from us so paramount could be doing the same thing with Amy & Rouge as a way to garner more excitement for the film

They can pull off Rogue for this one and have her be teleported via Gun technology into Sonic’s world and recruit into the organization. I would have her be in the background for 2 and make her main appearance in 3 as a shadow to Shadow.
My bets will be Amy at the very least. I am still on the fence on whether we will see her or Rouge, but I'm not holding my breath. Whatever will happen, will happen. But at the end of the day, whatever they will release will be nothing short of amazing. I mean, shadow on his motorcycle, fat eggman, Maria being casted, and the GOAT himself, Keanu Reeves as Shadow's voice. all of these things so far are making me think we are going to be in for a real treat this December, regardless if certain characters appear or not. I know it is hard to keep expectations low, especially due to what everyone who is part of the movie are saying, but please keep your expectations low so you don't end up disappointed in the end.
I'm hoping that last sentence somewhat doesn't age well and something surprising is shown in the full trailer (which I'm sure will release during the summer).

"Amy needs to be in this movie in order for Shadow to be redeemed" Newsflash guys, Shadow most likely won't be redeemed, think about it, they already did that with Knuckles where he was a bad guy who teamed up with Eggman in the beginning and became good and teamed up with Sonic, to do that AGAIN with Shadow would come off as repetitive and reusing story beats, so don't be surprised when Shadow stays a villain throughout the whole movie, which would make Amy's role even more pointless.
I think he won't be redeemed per say, but might have to join forces with sonic at one point. They should keep him as an anti hero like he always has been
Hold on, Knuckles wasn’t REDEEMED. Knuckles shouldn’t have been Sonic’s enemy to began with.
He was tricked and even when he mistakenly believed Sonic tricked him into lowering his guard while Tails attacks, He acknowledges how Sonic went to help Tails instead of going after the device. (Plus, that’s a misunderstanding on Knuckles’s part, since they don’t know each other enough for Knuckles to believe the situation wasn’t what it looked like, similar to what happens in Sonic Prime. )
Additionally most of Sonic’s allies, especially in newer content, were forgiven for things. Sonic 06? Silver. Sonic 3 and Knuckles? Knuckles. Black Knight? Sonic proceeded to comfort after fighting. Sonic Prime? Pretty much all of Sonic’s allies threatened him/nearly killed him at some point. Sonic Boom? The main characters are pretty much frenemies with everyone.
It happens in the games and besides many stories have multiple redemptions it's not unheard of Although I think shadow will probably have a knuckles situation where he was after the wrong guy Although I don't think amy is gonna talk to shadow or even be in the movie for that matter That doesn't necessarily mean it will be Sonic

I like to believe and im praying and hoping that these 2 will be in the movie and honestly my valid reasoning why i believe Amy and Rouge should be in the movie because not only they were an essential plot to SA2 but i believe why Amy should be in the because say the 3 guys wanna charge ahead and fight Shadow Amy should be the middle ground between the boys like to clam them down and to be heart and peace loving between the boys that would tell them that there must be more to reach Shadow besides fighting stuff like that i feel that would be a great area for Amy to stand in the movie. Sure she could fight too but i also see her as a loveable peace keeper as well and that's who our girl Amy is.💖🦔🌹As for Rouge i believe definitely it would be an interesting plot line as if GUN had there own alien working under them the whole time and she Would be a perfect character to try and understand Shadow and especially remind him and question him if he's the same creature that was sealed 50 years ago like when they talk near the console based from the game and i believe to me a perfect cliffhanger in the ending credit's how i see it she could be the first one to find Omega and either in the next movie or it could be Shadow's spin off show it would be the birth of team dark and that's why i believe Rouge should deserve her attention in the movie too like miss Rose 💜🦇💎
Ok,now i have a theory,at the end of the knuckles show we heard from one of the bowling announcer's about how there was an alien that crashed into the bowling alley in 1974, now if you subtract 2024 from 1974 you get exactly 50 years, now add that up to what you Heard at the end of Sonic 2, a project from 50 years ago just came up, which is shadow, so what i think happened is shadow crashed into the bowling alley 50 years ago and, presumably, captured by G.U.N.

I STILL have faith we'll see one or both of them! Just because we haven't gotten any news about them doesn't mean they won't be in it Paramount did say they're trying to keep information about the movie on the D.L. so maybe they're going to surprise us with Amy or Rouge later this year?

Honestly wouldn’t be too disappointed, there are more sonic movies coming 100% as the producers and others have said. Movie 4 can have metal and Amy and rouge can come anytime in the shadow spinoffs.

It Only works how she(referred to first solid reintroduction, Impression, More Useful partner to the Sonic& Gang, treated with respect just like Sonic Adventure 1 & Frontiers did very well, SA2 iconic conversation between Shadow and Amy from the Last Story) handled properly for SonicMovie3 and save the Rest of it(kisses, building up Love healthy relationship between Sonic and Amy unlike almost most games except for SA1, Frontiers and Murder, even IDW will happened later after Movie 3, etc...) For Other Movies Shows, Spinoff, Series And other media after it
Amy will be in Movies easily in here but she must have execution done right with the potential like Tails did to go beyond what SA1/2, Frontiers, IDW, Dream Team, Sonic and Friends lay out the blueprint & did explore about her character most Character studies in the near future ahead of her with Movie universe Post Movie 3

Rather is both Amy and Rouge or One of them, I feel like Movie 3 needs another Morbian in the Film not because it’s a High Demand but because this Series needs more Expansion in the Game Characters as we have enough Human Characters that while I don’t mind it, it’s going to become Stale very soon, I don’t want this Film Adaptation to become like Steven Universe focusing more on the Human Aspect than the Interesting Story of Anthropomorphic Alien Like Mickey Mouse Character with Fascinating Lore in them we can Relate and have Fun.
As much as I am an Amy fan, I’m alright if they don’t include her in this film, though I do feel that they have to include her in the series eventually. If they don’t make more films, there’s a likely chance she’ll be in it, if there will be, then 50/50.
If they want to build endgame level movies then you cant hold out on characters because of budget
To be honest tails was an extra credit scene at the end of the first movie so they are probably gonna to the same for Amy and/or Rouge which would make more sense because we have gotten new characters from extra credit scenes.

The games dont show a clear way for these two characters to be in the film, but I WANT them to be in the film. I WANT that female element. I also want the broad tapestry of colour that they'd bring.
Tails in Sonic Movie 2 didn't have a deep character arc, but I'd be lying if i said his presence didn't elevate the main rivalry between Knuckles and Sonic. Red Vs Blue could have become bland the same way it did in Sonic Movie 1. I fear the same for Shadow in this 3rd movie.
I think Maddie Wachowski would have great chemistry with the girls. Especially Amy. If that's the route they take, I'm golden.
I don’t want the movies to be the exact same as the games but if you say it’s based off of something and it takes a completely different direction than it feels a little off. Like the second sonic movie was a retelling of sonic 2 and 3 just combined. What I’m trying to say is that if the story changes completely than it looses the charm of the sonic movie. Imagine watching a sonic movie without Sonic characters, then it’s not sonic. I think that at least one of them should appear.
Amy & Rouge got more screen time than Shadow & Knuckles in Sonic X! Let the boys have their time to shine, there's other ways to turn Shadow to the light without cluttering the film with too many Sonic character introductions. :P
Considering how we went this far without seeing any female characters, I think Rouge will probably be Captain Rockwell's partner and Amy will probably have a cameo or a small part. Again, the Knuckles show would've been perfect to introduce more characters from the Sonic canon into the movies, but I'm pretty sure the show was pulled from a scrapped script of the 1st film due to the 3rd movie being released much later than the first 2 and needing filler, even though they released all the episodes like Netflix.

A sound argument and sadly might be true, but I still have hope. I think there’s a much higher possibility of Rouge debuting in the Shadow spinoff. As for Amy, I’m still holding out hope. While I see Sonic being the one to convince Shadow, I could also see him rebutting that Sonic is biased to humans because he’s only seen the good in them with the only bad being Eggman, and I never saw a human convincing Shadow because it was their fear of him that got Maria killed. I still like the idea of Amy, because having her debut in S3 would be interesting since she could see the beauty of the world and the good humanity can make through interactions with Sonic and even Maddie, who I can see being the Tom to Amy’s Sonic, and coming to the same conclusion as Maria that the world should be protected, not destroyed, regardless of the few in the world who are like Eggman and what G.U.N. once was. I had always liked the idea of Amy being the one to convince Shadow because she is a hedgehog who despite being in a human ruled world with the human she interacts the most being a mad scientist who puts the lives of others in danger and puts animals into slavery still believes that there is more good in the world, especially in the people. Pretty much coming to the same conclusion as Maria did despite never knowing her. In a way, she’s what Maria hoped Shadow would become had they ever made it to Earth. Maybe I’m just being biased but I just love that interpretation. Plus, like Tails once said, Shadow needs some positivity in his life and who else is more positive than Amy?
Tom and Maddie's niece, JoJo will probably be a place holder for Amy. She will remind Shadow of Maria, being a human girl, and that will convince him to "turn to the light side" as it were.

I feel NO ONE should do the talk to Shadow if Amy is not in the movie and have a secret final video diary of Maria be the one to make Shadow good similar to a cutscene about the truth of Gerald from Shadow 2005 before fighting Devil Doom since the movie would also take elements from that game too.

It wouldn’t make sense for Amy to not be there because Nintendo put peach in their movie. Sega and Nintendo are known to be rivals, with Amy being the rival pink character. Mario has peach and sonic has Amy. Plus Amy has been used on the back burner before without being a distraction. for example, her role in sonic unleashed was very laid-back, but she still had her own impact.

I get why so many people want rouge and amy but they cannot get their hopes way too high. I want to see Amy and rouge too but we just gotta wait and see if they will appear or not. With rouge, I do think she won’t appear in the third movie, but with amy it can be a possibility since she is one of the big reasons why shadow decides to help save humanity. But if she doesn’t appear, then maybe just maybe Rachel’s daughter Jojo could do that, and it could make sense too because with Jojo, she would remind shadow so much about Maria’s kindness and innocence. But like I said, I could wrong, so we gotta wait and see.

Well, it was. That was based on KNOWING that they planned on making Sonic movies long-term (you all seem to have forgotten).
It was also under the assumption that they were gonna be more faithful with the lore, meaning we coulda got something with Chaos. There was tons of potential to flesh out the movie universe that way and lead into Shadow buuuuut I didn't consider Jim Carrey not lasting for a 4th movie and I really need him to be there with Shadow. lol
I also didn't anticipate that the movies would shake up the lore so much that they essentially scrapped any potential for Chaos, already dabbled in SA1 a bit for the second movie, and seem to be going for a different overall backstory tying the 3 movies together revolving around the Master Emerald being hidden on Earth in the past.
Eventhough the story might be different, Amy and Rouge are integral to Shadow's arc so we sorta need them

I can't wait for y'all to be proven wrong when Jenny Slate is revealed to be voicing Amy in the movie. She's literally already cast in the film and has already done voice acting work (Secret Life of Pets, Zootopia). In addition to this, she and Ben Schwartz are good friends irl. She's 100% gonna be Amy. I'm genuinely baffled that some of y'all genuinely think they would go 3 movies without introducing a single female Sonic character, especially when it's easy marketability. But idk that’s just my take 🤷♂️
